Worst haircut I ever had. I sat at the first chair(next to the entrance) and the hairdresser at this booth does not understand instructions. I asked for one thing and he did something else. As soon as I sat down ,he started asking for numbers. He was not willing to listen to what haircut I wanted and got agitated when I asked him some questions about the hairstyle, etc. instead of just giving him the numbers.Before I sat down, I asked him to clean the area as there was a lot of hair on the floor. He got irritated and told me that he will clean it later and asked me to just sit down. I wish I had walked out at this point. Unfortunately, I sat down and let this guy ruin my hair just before my marriage. Worst of all, when I expressed my unhappiness about the haircut and told him I am getting married soon, he had a grin on his face. Utterly unprofessional!!! Please stay away from this place.

Omg!! This place saved me TWICE for my baby sister’s wedding! On Tuesday I came in with a bad hair color that I had gotten back in Kansas for $300 & Kimberly was a bit unsure that she could get my hair color to be the exact color that I wanted it (platinum blonde). She was patient, took her time, and was very attentive to my hair! The end result was not what I wanted originally but soooo much better than what it was!! Kimberly got me closer to the blonde I wanted and for only $180!!On Thursday morning, I called to see if they could schedule me for a hair-do since my sister’s hair dresser had to be canceled last minute! I didn’t get the woman’s name, but she took me in ASAP and did my hair for only $40! Both the ladies that worked there really saved my sister’s wedding for me! Highly recommend this place!

I recently got a haircut from the Owner of Hairworks. She did a wonderful job. Im new to the area and was in need of a haircut for interviews. She was very accommodating with my schedule and what I was looking for in my haircut. I forgot to take a before haircut but imagine a nerdy looking kid with long hair covering half their face with glasses(not pictured). After having such a great experience I wanted my photo to show my appreciation. What I enjoyed the most was that she took her time and made sure I was confident in what I was looking for. She communicated her process and what she recommended. She was also very gentle and had great conversations. I went to her hair salon during covid and her salon was very clean while following CDC guidelines. Other hair stylists were very friendly. I highly recommend people going here for hair needs.

The staff love to bully their own customers, and love to pass it off as them being real. The owner Ann doesnt take accountability for her own employees and does not hold them responsible for their poor behavior. Dont get your hair done here.

OK!I just witnessed magic!!!I am a workaholic and it has gotten so bad lately to the point that I have not had enough sleep and I have also been missing meals due to overwork, my hair looks terrible. I basically have not taken care of myself!I have grey hairs underneath and I stopped caring. All I care about is work! 😅Anh at hairwork has literally turned me from a duck to a swan! Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the hairdresser who cut my hair, as well as my two year old sons hair on a separate occasion. He uses the very first chair/station closest to the door.He did a very good job with my two year old son. This was the second time that I had taken my son to a salon that was not specifically for children, so I was a little nervous because last year when I took him to another salon in the area they did a very poor job and my son looked like Jim Carey from Dumb and Dumber until his hair grew out. Anyway, he was very patient with my son and did a great job! I will definitely be back for future hair cuts for my son.As for myself, I had gone in for a haircut a few weeks before taking my son in during my lunch break. He did a great job with my hair as well. I will definitely be back for myself as well.Thank you Hairworks! Ive passed your shop many times over the years, but never gave you guys a try. So glad I finally did!

My wife got a hair cut here and dyed her hair. It was terrible. She asked for one thing and got something completely different. It took ~5 hours for the whole process of messing it up and trying to fix it. The fix btw was a completely different hair cut then my wife wanted, but it was necessary because of the initial mess up. I’m waiting for the owner to get in to the shop so I can talk to them about it. This is actually insane. And the hairdresser still tried to charge my wife 150 (the full price)... what??? We ended up paying 100 for a 20 dollar hair cut and some dye. Avoid at all cost

Today I met the best hairdresser! Mrs Vida took my hair and gave me cut with much style. She listened to what I wanted and gave me an inverted bob just like my photo. I have received compliments all day. Thank you so much for your work. It is much appreciated.If anyone wishes to have a great hair cut- go see Vida!

This shop is AMAZING! Cheap, super clean, friendly and very professional hair stylists.I get my hair done regularly here when I live in San Diego. Only $15 for guys haircut and the owner even give me a hair wash and head massage.The service is honestly amazing. I really like the place. Would 100% recommend going to HAIRWORKS.

Excellent service in an inexpensive, yet nicely appointed salon. Tony paid attention to detail and was happy to cut it shorter when I asked. Of all the shops in Mira Mesa, I highly recommend this one!! I will definitely be back!

Jeannie was amazing, she cut my hair the way i want it. Doesnt ask a lot of question, she just do her job and know exactly what she was doing. Definitely going to recommend her to everyone.

Nice experience! I was worried to get a haircut other than Greatclips. It was not scary as I thought. Searched in Google and looked for a hair salon with good reviews. I visited hairworks and Tony was my choice (Saw Tonys name with good reviews). He made it easier and fast. I also got shampoo done after haircut. I definitely recommend Hairworks for your next haircut.
