Monica straight up saved my hair. These locks had been on a *journey* this past year, including not one but three consecutive home bleach jobs 🙄 She transformed a sticky, ragged, shoulder-blade-length mess into a light, edgy and feminine, collarbone-length cut with movement that represents a fresh start for me in many ways. And +1 for knowing who Charlotte Gainsbourg was when I said I felt like my cut resembled hers! Highly recommend.

I have been seeing Lauren now for a couple years. Each time I visit her, she makes sure that I get exactly what I want based on what we discussed. She knows how to balance making my highlights and balayage natural looking while still giving it a distinctly salon done look which is perfect for my lifestyle. She has done wonders for my blonde hair and trust her completely!

My mother walked in after 4pm for simple wash, trim, blowdry. The place was empty, but for some reason they couldnt accommodate, so she had to scheduled for a week later. The day shes supposed to come in, they cancel via EMAIL! They didnt even bother calling or rescheduling. At $75 its ridiculous that they couldnt be bothered. Either they dont know how to run a business or they are too cool to take in older clients.

I came in with contradicting ideas and Kayla was able to look at pictures, listen to what I was saying and from there used her artistic brain to give me the most beautiful hair color I could ask for. I had a great experience getting my first haircut at Rinse yesterday. I was scheduled for 2 pm and arrived right on time. The greeting at the front was very friendly and welcoming. I was asked to take a seat for about one and a half minutes before my stylist, Chelcie, brought me back. She was great at asking me about and understanding what kind of cut I was there to get. I enjoyed the conversation we had while she did the cutting. After the cut was done she asked what I thought and touched up the areas that I wanted slightly more hair taken off. She washed my hair and styled it to look great before I went on my way a happy customer. Paying and tipping was smooth and easy at the front desk where they offered to schedule my next visit or wait and see how the cut grows out so I can schedule when I know that another cut is needed. Will definitely be going back to see Chelcie again and strongly recommend Rinse to any other guys who want a really nice experience and a great haircut!

Rinse is honestly the best salon in Southern California. Ive had a few different stylists cut and color my hair (Sid, Ali, Ana) and theyre all awesome! The salon itself has such a chic vibe, and a good central location. I have never in my life said that I loved my hair, but I can say that as long as I have been coming to Rinse, I LOVE MY HAIR!

Kaylee is the best hair stylist Ive ever had. The color came out extremely well and she is great to talk too!

Love the atmosphere, very calming, quiet, soothing feel to the place. Staff was polite. Services were adequate. Nothing to rave about. However, I didnt have to explain much, and I got exactly what I asked for along with a few suggestions to remedy the issue going forward. Little pricey considering. The number one thing that would make me continue to return: she absolutely knew what an inch is and not to take off more than what you are TRULY asking for!!

Ive visited this salon on two separate occasions.The first visit was for a cut and it turned out excellent. I knew I would be returning.The second visit was for a cut and highlights. The cut was vastly different from the first cut I requested and it turned out great. Highlights are perfect and Im super picky in this department. I can usually spot a few mistakes from carelessness but there are pleasantly none! The only thing that I was unhappy about from this visit was being charged for toner. Ive been getting highlights for a long time and know that is part of the service so Im not sure why the extra charge.I am personally not sure if I will be returning but if you are looking for good hair, I am sure you wont be disappointed

I scheduled an appointment with Nico. Was hoping to go darker after having a grown out balayage and he was very clear with what he could do for me after I showed him inspo pictures of what I was trying to achieve. Literally got the color I wanted down to a T and I’m OBSESSED with the way he cut my hair. If you can go to anyone go with Nico! Lovedddd

Monica De La Rosa is the best stylist I have ever had for a long time. She has the experience, taste, knowledge, but most importantly she cares deeply for her client happiness. I am so happy to find her last year. Shout out to the salon itself and all the employees, they are very friendly and professional. Parking could be challenging but I have always managed to find a spot close to the salon.

I came in to see Jarrod for a haircut, & I absolutely loved it! After growing my hair out for a few years now I was ready for a change and he knew exactly what to do! I hate to have to do this but I need to change my rating. In the past Ive gone to friends and family for all of my hair styling needs and the quality just wasnt there. So a coworker referred me to Rachel. Ive been a patron of Rinse for 1 yr. and Ive been very happy with my service and stylist. I thought were getting along great I valued her opinion and loved her work. From the start she was very accommodating and really took the time to explain things to me especially because Im not up to date with all of the terminology. She found the perfect color for me and even fixed the horrible cut i had. Ive always felt that I could talk to her about my concerns and she always made me feel at ease. I trusted her completely. On my last visit, 1 week ago, I was not happy with the color and expressed this to her after she asked my opinion. She offered to fix it, and I was very happy with the results after and tipped her 60% for all of the trouble. I dont like complaining but I truly didnt like it and i felt confident enough to express this to her. Today I received a text message from the salon stating that they think we should part ways. This is very upsetting because I feel like Ive been punished for expressing my concern for a service that I am paying for. I was not even offered a different stylist. I feel completely humiliated. I feel like this is very unprofessional. And if this is common practice for this establishment I will no longer be referring Rinse Salon.Thank you for listening.

I absolutely adore Jessica. She is not only the sweetest, but she truly listens. She lets me explore new color options without the commitment (like the amazing Pink we did last time). Next time I go in, we are going to really get down to business. The best part is, she spent the added time to teach me how to curl my own hair. Seriously! What a sweetheart.

My stylist Rachael Hoang is the best! I followed her from her old salon and will definitely follow her to her next one if there is a next one. Shes been honest with me from the beginning about the number of sessions required to get to the color I want and always makes sure I love the outcome of each step. 12 out of 10 stars, seriously. I’ve had a specific color I’ve been trying to achieve for years and previous stylists have never been able to get it quite right. This was the first salon I’ve tried in the San Diego area as we recently moved here, and I’m SO glad I decided to try here first. Nico knew exactly what I was looking for and did a flawless job! Perfect color while still making sure to keep my hair as healthy as possible! I walked out feeling amazing, and the whole time I was in his chair I felt totally comfortable. Definitely recommending Rinse to everyone I know!

A friend recommended Rinse salon to me several years ago. Like so many people I tried salon after salon and was never really happy with my hair and how it came out. This was my first time here as I just moved to San Diego 2 weeks ago. I had Ashley and she listened to what I wanted. I’ve always had pictures of the color that I’ve wanted to have but other stylist were never able to get the color right. It was either lighter or darker than the color I wanted. But Ashley achieved the color PERFECTLY. And she cut and kept the length of my hair how I asked. Im definitely coming here again.

Ive been coming to see Rachael since not long after she started at Rinse, and its been amazing watching her advance her skills and grow her clientele (+ get promoted to senior stylist!) over the past few years. She is truly talented, and is very thorough and meticulous with her services. My naturally dark Asian hair tends to be stubborn when it comes to coloring, but Ive never felt rushed even when she has a packed schedule. My cuts and color always grow out beautifully, and I always get complimented by strangers!Parking in the area can get tough - for haircut appointments (~1 hr ish), I try to park on 30th. Otherwise I highly suggest arriving early to find something on Howard.

I have been getting my hair done at Rinse since it opened. Ana (the owner) is my go to stylist for cut, color, and most recently, extensions. I have seen quite a few of the stylists over the years and have always had a great experience and results. The new salon is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING - decked out in black and crisp white with gold accents and floor to ceiling windows. I have recommended the salon to dozens of friends over the years and everyone has come out looking amazing. I cant recommend this place enough!

Jessica M. always does an amazing job capturing exactly what I want. Shes super friendly and attentive and I walked away trying things I never thought I would give a chance- like purple hair. Ive recommended this place to some of my friends and they love it too!

I love when the owner (of a salon especially) really cares what goes on in his/ her place. Ana really makes you feel like she wants you to be happy. Ana herself is booked out for months but I feel confident with her assistance that my hair will be done perfect! , I cant wait to go in for my retouch!

Reno is the bomb. Phenomenal hairdresser and great conversationalist. I explained exactly what I wanted and he asked for sample pictures to make sure he understood, and then he delivered. Everyone I have interacted with here is pleasant and professional.

My hair Guru moved to Rinse Salon. They are very modern almost futuristic with all the fancy gadgets Ive never seen in a salon before. Parking might be a little difficult depending on the time of day. But when you go to anything in North Park....walking is expected. I love the decor. It gives the salon a crisp look. My daughter loves the bathroom decor. Mermaids AND unicorns on the wall....not tacky at all! IT works! Excellent service and top notch stylists! Rachel brought my damaged hair back to life.

TLDR version: My hair looks amazing, Reno Prezio is incredible and super talented and you should definitely go get your hair cut by him, especially if you want a pixie or short hair. Like, just go. Now.The Long Version:Maybe it’s a sign of an impending midlife crisis. Maybe I was tired of the image I projected. Maybe I was just sick of how long it took my hair to dry. I don’t know.Whatever it was, after years of hiding behind my curtain of hair, I began idly fantasizing about cutting it all off. I’m not really cool or confident enough to pull off really short hair, but I kept thinking about and occasionally looking.Now, for me, I need to see a clear track record in a potential stylist. I don’t trust other people with my hair. And finding someone who evidenced a capability to reliably do “edgy androgynous chic” cuts (rather than “minivan soccer mom” ones) was difficult.Then one day, I stumbled onto Reno’s Instagram page. He’s done tons of sexy short haircuts (and not one of them looked like they were in desperate search of a manager!). I was hooked. I knew then he was going to cut my hair.I waffled for a few days. If I had needed to call, I’d probably still be thinking about it. But Rinse makes it too easy to book online. Pick your service(s) and stylist(s), pick a date, pick a time, boom.My appointment time came and I was incredibly nervous. But everyone at Rinse was super super nice, from the receptionists to people washing my hair to the assistant dude that got roped into filming my cut.Reno was especially awesome. He asked me what I wanted, looked at the pictures I’d bookmarked, asked me questions with respect to what I liked in them, and then got started. He was super enthusiastic and positive about my cut, which really helped my nerves.My hair turned out better than I ever imagined. I was terrified I wouldn’t be able to pull it off, that I’d end up looking weird, or that it’d be something I would hate. Those fears were completely unfounded: I got the most amazing hair style ever. I look incredible and I am beyond impressed at how Reno was able to translate what I showed him into something that was exactly what I wanted and works on my face. (I still don’t think I’m cool enough to pull this off, but I look so good that I don’t care.)I’ve gotten so many compliments in the past 24 hours, it’s crazy. If you’re debating a pixie, you should definitely go to Reno. You won’t regret it.

Would give 0 stars if I could. First my appointment was pushed back after I was already heading to the salon. Then I showed a picture and said I wanted a platinum/Ash blonde ombre. After my hair was washed I told the stylist it seemed too dark. She told me it was the toner and would be lighter after drying. She then went on to the next client and had her assistant dry my hair. The was color is darker than when I came. What a waste of time and money. Now I will have to find someone to fix this mess.

Best place Ive ever been to for a mens haircut. Karinna is the best! Its easy to see she takes pride in her work and is very well trained in her craft. Shes also very cool and super friendly! Plus, the salon is extremely clean and well-kept... I honestly feel like Im in someones home. 10/10 experience overall.

I visit Mel at Skin Beautique (shes in Rinse Salon) to get my eyebrows done. If you want perfect eyebrows, you HAVE to see Mel! She is amazing. Ive done the micro blading twice (once with follow up) and its a game changer. My brows are on point. I had a bald spot on one and no one can tell now. Mel is a perfectionist, which is what you want when dealing with anything on your face. I fly in to see her, that is how amazing she is. I recommend her to everyone with and without eyebrows. She can help either way!

Im obsessed with Nicos work! Hes been doing my hair for the last 6 months and every time hes done it, I walk away feeling amazing. I always get compliments on my hair after I see him! I am a brunette going to a blonde balayage, and the transition has been amazing. Its hard being a brunette to trust someone with your hair when youre going lighter, but Nico gets it! I fully trust him with my hair!! I highly recommend you go see him!

I just found Reno Prezio at Rinse Salon on the internet and I feel like I won the lottery. He is amazing! The gallery photos got me to make the appointment but not because I wanted one of the posted haircuts (which are cool but not me). I made the appointment because I have gone through so many highly touted hairstylists that I could tell he is talented. I have thick (somewhat unruly) hair and I wanted a fun, layered, sassy haircut but would still be professional for work. I am tired of expensive haircuts that always seem to miss the mark or the after-cut styling being so heavy with product that I wash my hair the minute I get home.Reno is different. He spent time finding out the look I wanted to achieve, what I liked about past haircuts and what I disliked about past haircuts. He also spent time looking at my hair and asking me questions about what I have done in the past. Reno then made suggestions and showed me pictures of styles that captured the look I wanted for my hair. I let him know what length I was comfortable with and he respected my wishes. He then gave me the best haircut I have had in the last 10 years and styled it with minimal product. It looks stylish, flirty, natural and still work appropriate. Hes also a really cool, regular, nice guy who genuinely wants you to be happy with end result. In researching Reno, I learned he teaches other stylists and is involved in hairstyling competitions. Having met him it makes perfect sense. His skill set is far superior to the vast majority of stylists. The price is very reasonable. I already made my return appointment and I live 40 minutes away. Reno you are worth the drive!! Thank you Reno!!!!

Whatever you do avoid this HAIR SALON! I went in because I had different shades of blonde in my hair and dark patches of black (being as my hair is dark) so I needed someone to just SIMPLY lighten the dark patches or bleach them and then tone them to a solid blonde color. They charged me $165 for me to walk out of that salon looking exactly the same! All she did was lighten the top crown portion of my hair but as soon as I got home when I parted it or put it up in a ponytail you could see all the huge black patches( in which I CLEARY told her I wanted lightened to the MATCH the rest of my hair) SHE left the back section of my hair completely the same! She said my hair was “compromised” but the thing about that is I didn’t ask her to bleach what was already lightened. I asked her to bleach all the dark patches which are healthy locks of hair and were not bleached. She only fooled me into thinking she “fixed” it by changing the top section of my hair to a different color. bottom line is I have maternity pictures this week! And I can’t even match any extensions to whatever hair color she left me with! Because it’s theres too many colors and their not even real colors like #27 or #23 etc. So now All my in laws and family will see me with this horrendous hair for the pictures VERY UNPROFESSIONAL THANKS FOR RIPPING ME OFF! Ladies avoid this at all costs. Oh and she said I should be glad she only charged me 165$ because color corrections are 125$ /hour. I will not be returning to this place ever! I could have just bleached my own hair at home (which are all the dark patches they left me with) and used a Wella toner to tone it myself! Without having to pay )165$ to have my hair look the same. This place is overrated. Just out for your money! I will be happy to show everyone the pictures of all the uneven patches and spots as long as it potentially saves someone’s hair and money!
