My main provider at the internal medicine clinic here is great! However, Ive had some issues with other stuff, an appointment being cancelled on me last minute by a pretty rude medical assistant, having to hound them for 3 days to get the results of my {rapid} strep test, not getting called back after leaving a few messages for the office manager (who I was directed to call). Generally I honestly just feel like this isnt a place I can get help when I need it and I have reached out a few times to inquire how this can be addressed and no one seems to care to get back to me, so Ill probably being finding a new provider at this time.

Doctors and nurses are almost always great! Friendly, knowledgeable... Its the office staff that sucks. Theyre entirely uninterested, make it feel like youre an inconvenience for actually making them do their jobs, and dont look up from their phones enough to see theyve got someone waiting. I guess Tik Tok is more fun than helping others.

I was taken aback with the way i was treated, Starting with the receptionist. Snippy and curt, behaved nearly put out to check me in. The nurses lacked what I find to be some of the most important qualities to posses as a nurse. Proper bed side manner. Kindness, compassion, empathy... and being patient with... the patients. Im sure it can suck dealing with sick/hurt people with heightened emotions on a regular basis... but it comes with working in the medical field.

Was 4 star having been seeing my doctor here for 8 years. He’s retiring in Dec 2020 this year. Not being replaced obviously. None of the other doctors here are accepting his patients. Seems would be the usual practice. Instead IHC included a flyer with lots of doctors available at Memorial Clinic. Is obviously an IHC ploy to shift us to there. Would be horrible traffic for 3pm or later appts. Plus would take 4x longer for morning appts. I am on maintenance Rx so have to see a doctor quarterly although can renew with telemedicine now. Is a pattern at IHC less service. Several years ago they changed all IHC hospitals to out of network mid year for my BCBS policy with a Fortune 500 company while offering to accept a transfer to an IHC policy. Obviously a ploy to get more IHC policyholders. Anywhere else might have been consider restraint if trade. Nice.

Has messed up my prescriptions for 5 months in a row. I find the error myself and come back To get it fixed. I suffer from a number of conditions and have not had the energy to change pharmacies until now. The final straw was failing to include the blood pressure medication I came in for on a Friday. They told me to wait extra time for a separate medication after I had asked for the blood pressure medication. Then did not include the blood pressure medication I had come in for. I was in a hurry and forgot to check. I realized after they closed. They are closed on weekends so those two days and three nights were a nightmare. The last time I was there they literally had to sort through the entire stock of filled prescriptions because they misplaced mine. I have never encountered a more inept pharmacy staff. The head pharmacist is consistently rude and has on multiple occasions given me incorrect information, including that “klonopin does not interact with grapefruit juice.” Another very dangerous mistake. I’m considering filing a lawsuit.

I have been going to this clinic for years, even prior to the new facility being built. I have never had any issues and really like the fact that everything is in one building. I went here for the first time yesterday for an annual eye exam. You may think if you have insurance that it will be fully covered. Wrong! If you need contact lenses, they charge you a $40 refit fee. After waiting in an exam room for 40 minutes, I was finally seen, only to be talked to like a baby from Dr. Torghele. As I was leaving, she escorted me back to the front desk to make sure I paid. Then it took the receptionist almost 5 minutes to swipe my card. She also asked me if I was private pay. I told her no and that the receptionist who checked me in had entered all that information. She said, Well, it wasnt done right... Gave me even more confidence in this clinic... Guess I wont be surprised to receive a bill for the full amount of the visit. Besides the optometry tech, the staff were all kind of rude. Bummer this is one of the few places that my insurance covers for optometry.

Except for the fact that even though they have over a dozen specialists in the field I need help in, the earliest appointment that they have available is February of 2017, or 6+ months from now. I called and point this out and said I was still in posssion of my quote and they said they would do an internal review of it. A month later I was called back and told they would not be changing the price and I was stuck with the bill. Ashley Byno was my doctor throughout my pregnancy. She was extremely intelligent and was certainly full of knowledge so I did like that about her. Two Stars because she was literally always in the biggest hurry ever. I always felt like a nuisance asking questions or having any issues. She also told me the week before I was due if I had my baby over the weekend she would definitely miss the birth ( I was due that weekend). I had my baby that Monday afterwards at 7 pm had gone i at 7 am & was there all day although labor was easy for me. & My doctor wouldnt come in because she said she still had some of her family in town. Not sure why you would plan that out the weekend one of your patients is due as an OB first of all. I also didnt get an exam from her until 5 MONTHS post partum just to find out I had an infection from my stitches (3rd degree tear). Still hasnt followed up with me weeks later about it. Honestly I think shes just way too busy and should not be accepting anymore patients. Super disappointing, I had switched doctors to Ashley mid pregnancy from my original OB to have a doctor I felt I could actually rely on. Dr. Traverelli ended up doing my delivery & did an AMAZING job had to use forceps but saved me from a c section. She was amazing. In the end it worked out.

If I could give 0 stars, I would because they definitely deserve it. I can only speak for Dr. Yeh (Opthalmologist), not the entire hospital, but I cant believe how dishonest he and his staff are. I went in for a preventive eye exam which is covered through my insurance once a year. Two weeks later I was billed for $173. When I called to dispute the bill, they said I scheduled a Dry Eye Diagnosis so the bill was correct. When I tried to explain why that was not correct the woman I was speaking to was very rude, told me that there was nothing she could do, and basically hung up on me. The only mention of dry eyes was after the exam when I stated I couldnt see well driving during dusk and Dr. Yeh mentioned I might have dry eyes. His only recommendation was that I could put a warm, wet cloth over my eyes once a day. No prescription for eye drops.I highly recommend anyone reading this to not go to this office. I had my first visit with Dr. Byno a few months ago. After our discussion, I called to set up an appointment for a procedure we had discussed. The day before my scheduled procedure a P.A. called to cancel the appointment. It seemed to be MY fault that the front office didn’t coordinate with the doctor, they did not have what they needed for my procedure. It took a week and a half for someone to call back to reschedule, then I had to wait another month to be seen again. The PA called a week before my appointment and we discussed what I needed to do to prepare. When I showed up, everything began to unravel. My prescription was not at the pharmacy, no one was at the front desk, and so on. Eventually, I had to leave without my procedure. The PA did not pass on pertinent information, the Doctor’s solutions for that day were not feasible. I left horribly disappointed. Now Im searching for another physician and office that actually works together. What a difficult, frustrating situation.

Was referred to Dr. Jaffe by Dr Moores because of continual back pain that had recently reached epic proportions. I cant think of anything else but my pain, and I can only find a comfortable position lying down. Jaffe reviewed a 2 year old MRI and explained in detail how arthritis and bone shifts were causing my pain, and those conditions likely worsened over the past two years. He recommended a new MRI and invasive surgery. Nicelong term strategies, however, when asked for a short term strategy to manage my pain with medication he refused. He said my biggest problem was being overweight and to focus on that. When I reminded him my pain level was a 10 and I couldnt excersice to lose weight he said become a vegan. Okay, another nice long term strategy but nothing to address the level 10 pain Im in. Good Dr how much weight must I lose before the arthritis disappears and the bones return to their original position? Im waiting Dr. In fact, how much weight must I lose and how many vegan meals I must eat before the invasive surgury to fuse my spine is unnecessary? Basically, Dr. Jaffe he said go get an MRI fatso, and shut the f*** up about your pain. So I called my primary care phycician; Dr Moores explained the situation to here assistant, who was argumentative from the outset indicating no medication would be given without an office visit with the next available visit being weeks away. I pleaded for somthing to be phoned into my pharmacy and was promised a call back on Friday which never came...so more pain to endure over the weekend. Write it down folks Dr Jaffe and Dr. Moores are absolutely horrible doctors, without any compasion. The hypocratic oath? Haha, theyre in it for the money and nothing else. Since when do patients find out rules after they get to the appt?I had an appointment as a new patient with Dr. Servoss, OB-GYN. We got lost getting to the clinic (it has been over 20 yrs since I was there). The clinic is all new and gigantic. We were not able to make a left turn at the corner of 9th and 4th st. ( the time was 1:29 pm, and I had a 1:30 appt). It took us 5 mins to figure out how to get to the clinic. By the time we got parked, got into the elevator, then walked a great distance to the desk, it was 1:41pm. I was told that their policy is not to see a patient if they are over 10 mins LATE... SERIOUSLY?I was never told this when I made the appt. Never told this when I got my reminder call. But boom! One minute past the 10 mins. (due to the no turn lane) and I couldnt see the doctor.I have NEVER heard of this policy...as patients we are usually kept waiting 15 -30 mins before we even get to see a doctor. BUT if you are past time your appointment time by 10mins. at SL Clinic, dont expect to be seen!To their credit, the desk people were trying to be nice about it...but I didnt feel nice back. I am 70 yrs old, it takes me a long time to get out of the house. Had I known they had this policy I would have made sure we were there earlier. I can understand the concept, but if this is their policy.... The Clinic NEEDS TO TELL PATIENTS THERE IS SUCH A POLICY! NOT TO LET THEM FIND OUT WHEN IT IS 1 MIN. PAST THE DEADLINE.

He and his nurse (Gayle? Gayla?) were so incredibly helpful and friendly. I see Dr. Torgehle in optho yearly (Im diabetic) and she and her staff are great. I always enjoy catching up with her and she always listens to any concerns I have. Ive seen Dr. Rasmussen in dermatology for many years. He and his staff are great. Before I saw him I had been going to another dermatologist whod left pretty significant scars from removing moles. Dr. Rasmussen has training in plastic surgery and the moles hes removed....night and day difference. He is really skilled and if you have to have any sort of work done that requires suturing, you will be very happy with the results. Finally, Dr. Bradley in ENT took out some nasal polyps a couple of years back. Ive also seen him from time to time for other issues and have always been very happy with the level of service I received. Im perplexed by the experiences others describe. Ive had many, many visits there over the years and have never had a visit that I was unhappy with. I have found all the providers Ive seen to be approachable, friendly, and caring. Ive only encountered friendly and helpful support staff and have never been made to wait an unreasonable amount of time in the waiting room or for a return call.

I was ten minutes early for my 9:30 appointment and was not notified until 10:00 that I would not be seen today and to come back in THREE MONTHS! From talking with the receptionist, I found out they were notified the night before that the doctor would not be coming in that day, but they decided not to notify me until 40 minutes after my appointment was supposed to begin. I sent them an invoice for $100 to cover gas and the hourly wages I forfeited. I got a call from their Director of Operations, Mike Hancock, essentially saying that they will not reimburse me because they do not hold themselves to the same standard that they hold their patients to (as outlined in their cancellation policy). If I was the one that blew off the appointment they wouldnt have hesitated to charge me a huge fee, but if they are the no-show then you as a patient just have to deal with it and are at their mercy for rescheduling - perhaps three months later! Luckily I was able to schedule a next-day appointment elsewhere with an awesome hospital and doctor. In summary: DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC!!
