Run!!! This company was very very neglectful. Friends and even doctors kept telling us that hospice should have been helping us more and that the main doctor should have come out to visit once or twice a month. We had no such visits, no guidance and one of the nurses gave us horrible drug dosing advice that causes an overdose for my spouse to wake up from 3 days later. It causes partial paralysis that took 2 weeks for him to recover. We are “lucky” he recovered as he’s only 38 (with stage 4 cancer) but can you imagine if he were 80 or older? Our head nurse said (after a month of nothing) that he would come by to see how things are twice a week….he only came once.Do not use this company. We switched to first choice hospice and it’s been night and day just after 24 hours of using them. The nurses are a lot more caring and mature.

The Canyons team is absolutely the best in the business. I’ve worked with them the last 3 years. From top to bottom nothing but compassion comes from the Canyons team. I would absolutely chose them to take care of the people whom mean the most to me in a time of crisis. Shout out to Jen, Mikey, Diane, Janet, and the most adorable Ruth. If you want the best care for your loved ones look no further.

The nurse coordinator is wonderful and the two home health providers an OT and a PT are very good especially considering my Mom is a difficult person even my brothers acknowledge. However extras like trying to arrange a portable manual wheelchair to take my Mom to appointments have proven impossible. The PT garbled the request thought was asking for a jazzy mobility scooter. He never called me to clarify although the nurse had told him correctly what and why. So will just rent one from Walgreens pay out of pocket as needed. Will do the day before waste money since I work full time along with all my other eldercare duties. Don’t have time to do both on same day as an appointment.

My sister was referred to Canyon by Chante Hain. My family was having issues with another home care company. They were constantly late or missing appointments and incredibly unprofessional when they did actually show up. We have been extremely pleased with the professionalism and prompt response we have received from Canyon. Would definitely recommend them in the future.

The respiratory physical therapist Afshin, came into my mothers home without his mask on. His nose was completely hanging out. My mother was on oxygen from a bout of pulminary adema. The nurse who came with him, Tasha, allowed the PT to come inside without his mask covering him. Its beyond belief that during Covid they would allow this to happen. My mother told them she did not want their assistance and had them leave. We have not asked them back.

My father is being cared for by the Canyon team. They are very attentive and have worked very closely with my family to provide the best care for my dad. They have offered pharmacy services and access to medical supplies in a convenient way so we have not had to worry about arranging those things. My dad’s nurse and therapist are both very experienced and extremely patient and compassionate with my dad. I would recommend this team to any of my family and friends.

I would not recommend this place to care for your parent. They were hired to care for my mom, and it was not a good experience. Joe talked her into changing the way her medication was delivered and packaged. It was way more confusing for her and more difficult for her. Im pretty sure he could see that it would be more difficult for her with her condition. And if he didnt, he is not attentive at all to her needs. She said he pressured her to change her medication delivery and wouldnt quit bugging her about it until she agreed. I called Joe to discuss it, left a voicemail and he never called back. Their workers that were hired to help her wouldnt many things my mom asked them to do for her, after all that is exactly what they were hired for. I would not recommend this company!

Unprofessional work environment for office employees at south ogden office. Employees encouraged to gossip and back talk at south ogden office. Employees also not given tools, such as paper from corporate or the ability to accept co-pays, and technology necessary for job performance and medical standard customer care in office environment. While home care unknown, professional suggestion, based off of office treatment of employees, shows lack of caring environment overall.
