I took a tour of the facility and the new manager and staff were so wonderful. Amanda is extremely helpful and you can tell she really cares and loves the animals. We have a little Doxie mix and will be bringing her to the toy box area. ☺️

Talia and Star remembered me and my dog Dakota. They were very kind to her and she came back home eating her own food which means there was no cross contamination of food. She also came back tired, but not too much which is great! I am very happy with this place again. Thank you team!

We love and trust Dogtopia! Our dog has so much fun and you can actually watch them play throughout the day (live cameras). My dog comes home very smelly, but she always has a great time!

Poor dog to staff ratio and terrible management of incidents. We had previously used Dogtopia for all of our boarding needs over the last 3 years whenever we traveled but during our most recent trip our dog was bit during his first day of what was supposed to be a 3 night stay. The staff downplayed the severity of the wound and kept trying to get us to dismiss it as an accident.According to the emergency vet they dropped our dog off at, it was a very deep bite, not evidence of a typical accident. Our dog needed staples and a drain inserted in his neck. Upon telling a staff member and their manager about the severity of the injury according to the vet, neither person expressed any sympathy for our dog and instead quickly gave us the rehearsed line about the liability waiver we signed. We understood Dogtopia wasn’t liable, but their contract says owners are liable for any damages their dogs cause to staff or other dogs so they should have sent the vet bill to the owner of the dog that caused the injury. I hope that they don’t allow the dog that did this back to Dogtopia but I have my doubts due to the answers we received.They ultimately ended up paying the nearly $1,000 emergency vet bill themselves but only after my husband and I persistently followed up. I did receive an apology from the manager but at that point their lack of sympathy and unwillingness to acknowledge the severity caused a lot of stress and hurt.

My buddy golden retriever is enjoying there. Boarding is seems to be excellent.

Dogs get a lot of interaction time that is monitored with a person in the room. People are very friendly and welcoming. Dogs come home tired!

High quality daycare. My dog had been to daycare before, but is always shy when she initially goes to a new one. The staff made sure she was comfortable before letting her explore the area. They tested her tolerance with multiple other dogs before letting her in the open area. And best of all, she came home smelling like baby powder. No more baths after every single day at daycare!

My pup is just 5 months old and every time we walked in the park, it was obvious that he craved puppy playtime. Panther goes to Dogtopia once a week (planning on slowly increasing it to 2-3 times a week). He absolutely loves it! Best part, he is happy when he gets home and gets a good nights sleep. I check on him using the webcam access on the app several times a day. I would highly recommend Dogtopia. It is clean and the staff are very friendly. It is in a convenient location with lots of parking.

Our 8 month old puppy Rocky is always super excited when we drop him off at daycare. He loves playing with other dogs, is able to do so in a safe/supervised environment and is sad when we pick him up at days end. The staff at Dogtopia is very nice, helpful and give Rocky the love/attention that his parents do.

I love Dogtopia of White Flint! I live about 30 mins away, but I wouldnt trust my dog with any other doggy daycare. They provide exceptional customer service that goes above and beyond expectations. I love being able to watch my dog on camera and to see the dogs being well taken care of and the staff treating the dogs if they were their own. I 100% recommend taking your dog here.

My experience with this daycare has been dismal. There have been multiple instances where they have overcharged us and accidently subtracted days from our plan. We constantly felt like we had to monitor how many days we were sending our dog there to make sure they werent counting days that we never went, thus overcharging us. It is clear that their accounting process is messy and prone to error.The care is best described as negligible and the facility underkept. Our pup would come back filthy many days, requiring a bath. The last straw was when she came back with a bite wound that later became infected, requiring a more intensive operation. Dogs roughhousing is expected, but a failure to report it along with a complete denial of the incident happening under their care is inexplicable.

We brought our puppy to DogTopia in Rockville for his first day. Our little golden puppy didn’t even make it an hour before being attacked. An HOUR!!! He had multiple wounds so we are concerned with how long this went on for. Overall a terrible experience and the only positive was they offered to pay for our dogs vet bill. Find someone else! There trained K9 employees look like kids and the most disappointing thing was that the guy didn’t even care. Brie was nice.

If I could give less than one star I would. Communication here is terrible. I got a new puppy and called to tell them I was a new dog owner and ask what was needed to bring her to this Dogtopia. The front desk didn’t tell me all the info so when I came in for the intro day with her vet paperwork it didn’t include Kennel Cough - which I had no idea about and wasn’t told to get from the vet. So that was wasted visit number 1. Then when I asked more questions and got the kennel cough shot I scheduled to bring her back on a Saturday morning before I had to attend a funeral later in the day because I was told after check in that she would be able to stay for the day. When I arrived Saturday for this check in I was told that I needed to stay 45 min for the intake. 45 min??? Once again no one told me this before the appt after repeatedly saying I was a new dog parent. And I use the word parent lightly because my dog is not my daughter, there is a big difference. I don’t stay 45 minutes at drop off at school for my toddler. When I expressed my frustration and told them I had 20-30 min max instead of saying they were sorry for the myriad of miscommunication and let us rush this process to get her in they stuck to the 45 min rule and basically let me walk out. I had to take the dog home, crate her for 5 hours while I attended a funeral. They truly don’t care about dogs. I will never go back and will tell as many people as possible about my experience with this location. Horrible.

My puppy enjoyed his time at daycare! The staff and trainers are attentive to the dogs and their needs, and making sure the dogs have a fun time.

We love bringing our pup here! Everyone is very friendly, and always happy to see Enzo (our pup). I’m happy with the staff to dog ratio, all staffers seem knowledgeable and happy to be there. My family and I are completely satisfied and happy to know Enzo is safe, and happy to be there! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a doggie daycare!

Mittens is a rescue pup and can be timid sometimes. However, the staff has always been friendly, attentive and all around great with her. Shes warmed up to the point I see her on the webcam playing with the other pups and even following the Dogtopia staff around. Sometimes she still gets timid and finds a corner to just lay and watch from, and the staff are good about just letting her do her thing.They pay attention to all of the dogs during their stay. Weve had them reach out to confirm when wed pick her up so they could time her welcome home bath to asking if they could add a little peanut butter in her food because they were worried she wasnt eating enough during her most recent stay.The grooming has also always been on point. She comes home so soft and her nails are trimmed nicely.I get worried about her being anxious, and the care the staff give the pups at Dogtopia have relieved me of my worries when we take her for daycare and boarding.

We love Dogtopia. They truly care for the dogs that stay there. Well continue to use them for boarding and their pet services.

More than I expected. Not only did the webcam let me view my furbabies, but I witnessed the staff giving affection to Bear and Charlie. It relieved the anxiety and guilt of leaving them when I saw their tails wagging with happiness.

Amazing women at the front desk (9:15am on Saturday 3/7)! I had two trusted referrals for Dogtopia (White Flint) and they exceeded expectations. The facilities were clean, the staff were genuinely interested in taking care of my dog. We are excited to see how it goes this first week with our three free days.

I like it better than other options. We take our dog when we need to be out of town for a couple of days. We get the spa treatment before picking him up.

My dog loves Dogtopia. He gets very excited before we even get to the place and then at pick-up he doesn’t want to leave. The place at White Flint is clean, smell clean and all is very organized. The staff are well trained, helpful and love all the dogs. I drive 40 minutes just so he can enjoy his outings at Dogtopia!

The staff at Dogtopia, specifically the White Flint location, are so helpful, friendly and courteous. They treat each and every furry client as if they were their own. They seem to remember every clients name by memory and know everything about them, right down to even the most finicky requests, without even the slightest eye roll. And, for the cases in which they may not remember, the staff keep detailed records on each client. They get that the clients arent just pets, they are members of the family. They even give owners the occasional report card! And if thats not enough, owners can go online to their website--via computer, phone or tablet--and watch their little friends play. Their culture and policies seem to mesh perfectly with those who want so much more than just 3 hots and a cot for their furry friends. Clients and their owners get the amenities that one would expect with a childrens daycare, really. Completely understandable since owners who use Dogtopia consider their pets to be their children. I have always recommended them and will continue to do so. I dont like to give a perfect score because no one is perfect, but in this case, I really feel like its more than deserved.

I have dropped my dog off at daycare twice so far and it has been great! Its a nice feature you can watch cameras to see how your dog is dealing with new people, places, and dogs. It helps to give you a piece of mind that your getting your moneys worth. Workers appear to truly love dogs. My dog comes home happy and tired which give me a nice break from my very energetic dog.

We have an active 7 yr old lab mix and 14 yr old choc lab that were boarded for a week! Love how Dogtopia gives special attention to our older pup who is really slow to stand/lay down.

Everyone that works at Dogtopia is super friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable and the facilities are clean. I really appreciate that you can go and check the place out and see the three playrooms before dropping your dog off. One of the best things about Dogtopia is that each playroom has a webcam, so you can sign in and check on your pup throughout the day! The building is in an odd spot and may seem a little sketch at first, but its nice on the inside!

Awful just awful. I would take that 1 star if I could. I took my beloved dog here on Sunday to play and socialize while I had to be somewhere and couldn’t take her with me, but constantly checking their web cam to make sure she is doing fine. There were like 5-6 dogs there in total (gym area) first time I checked she was sitting on the bench, I saw the girl who was supposed to care for the dogs grabbed her for no apparent reason and put her in the crate/ cage why? I don’t know because I was watching and nothing happened!!! So I got nervous and started to keep watching I swear she was in that crate all day long along with other dogs and the girl was just keep mopping the floor and doing her stuff. I called 2 times and said I see you are keeping my dog in the crate and there are not many dogs there I saw that she was just sitting on the bench and not making any trouble they said ok we’ll check, but no still in there. I called again an hour later I said I see she is there again they said there was a situation and they don’t get along which was a total lie I’m not blind I can see the area through the cam and everything was and is fine. I had to leave whatever I was doing and go take my poor baby off of their hands because I was seriously loosing my mind. When I went there I asked to talk to a manger and said just explain to me why you put all these poor dogs in the crate all day long and he had no answer. I know why, it was Sunday there were few dogs they wanted to clean the area and get it ready for Monday rush so they decided to keep them in the cages!!! Wow good job Dogtopia great job. Never ever going to take my dog there. You are just horrible!

LOVE THIS PLACE, there are other places closer to where I live, but I drive in traffic to take my pooch here! The staff is so patient, understanding, and accommodating. The price is reasonable and upfront. I love having access to the doggie camera so I can watch my pooch run and play all day. Each time I pick her up she is exhausted and when I drop her off, Im chopped liver, she is so excited to be there. Thank you again Dogtopia of White Flint!Edit - I also want to add that their customer service is just amazing!!

Took good care of my dog. Dont bring bedding since ours came back smelling of urine. Wish they could get some outside time while boarding. Webcams are a nice benefit.

Staff are very friendly and seem to love working with animals. The building is very clean. I like that my puppy will be safe and sound in the building getting to play with other small dogs. I like that she can have her blanket and a toy in her crate for bedtime. This is my first time leaving her at a boarding facility so hoping it all goes well.

Everyone at dogtopia is awesome. Very happy and attentive. They make leaving our little guy a lot easier because I trust that he’s being looked at and taken care of. Its also a +++ that he comes home extra tired and happy :)

I love that the dogs are separated into three rooms by energy level, so my energizer puppy has other crazy pups to play with all day! They are always able to accommodate my dog last minute for daycare and work with my crazy schedule! Also quick to address and remedy any concerns you might have, great for me, (I admit) a helicopter dog mom! The webcams mean I can always check in on my baby, great for my peace of mind.

My dog loves this place!!! She is a rescue and doesnt trust everyone but gets so excited to go to Dogtopia. Staff is very friendly and loves dogs. My only improvements would be they need to answer the phone on the weekends and provide grooming services and then it would be perfect.

Staff is always responsive and they return phone calls if someone isnt able to pick up immediately. Not the cheapest place, but certainly fairly priced. MOSTLY what I appreciate about Dogtopia is that the staff really seems to know dogs and is able to manage the personalities and quirks of their guests. My dog is high-anxiety and pretty aloof and they figured out immediately how to work with her and make sure she was comfortable.

Dogtopia is heaven for my dog, Sparky. He knows if we leave the house early on a weekday that he is headed to day care and he is super excited the entire ride. The staff at Dogtopia always greet Sparky with love. And they continually try to help out in extra ways. When I was pregnant, they would take Sparky directly from the car for me and get him back in so I didnt have to strain myself.Everyone there is obviously a huge dog lover and I really appreciate the care they give my dog and sincere interest in his having a great day (and myself, since hes happily exhausted when I pick him up :) ).

Love the friendly staff - theyre always cheerful and polite, they clearly love dogs, and they manage to remember every single person and dog. I like that Dogtopia separates the dogs by size - my girl isnt the biggest, but shes high energy and can definitely overwhelm small dogs, so its good she plays with the big dogs all day. And I love that its close to my house!

My dog is always full of energy and after a few days at Dogtopia he sleeps through the night. After only a few visits the staff already knew my dogs name and all I had to do was drop off my dog and have the peace of mind that he would be playing all day. It also helps that youre able to see your dog while at work through the Webcam.

It is clear that the staff at Dogtopia is trained properly to work with dogs of all kinds in a variety of situations. We dropped our dog off at Dogtopia for daycare recently and he was irritable because he was overheated as our air conditioning had broken during the heat wave. Our dog was clearly not behaving like his normal self. Rather than letting the situation worsen or asking us to retrieve our dog, the staff called and when we explained our situation the staff was very understanding and took the appropriate steps to work with our dog and make him more comfortable during the day. This made it clear to us that the staff at Dogtopia truly cares about the animals in their care.

Convenience. Friendly staff. You guys really enjoy your jobs and taking care of our dogs. My pup loves going to daycare; he gets excited when I pick up his overnight bag, and runs out the door into the car. I am that crazy dog lady who watches the camera when hes boarding, and hes always following the staff around and getting cuddles. Its great to have a happy and exhausted dog at the end of the stay.

My dog Dusty loves going to Dogtopia. And the staff is friendly and helpful and always seems in a good mood - I get the sense they like their jobs. I love being able to watch Dusty on their webcam. Theyre good at staying in touch by email too, if you have questions or concerns. Id recommend this to other dog parents.

Ive been thrilled with the care my puppy receives from each staff member. It feels like hes going to a trusted neighbors house to play! Dogtopia has exceeded my expectations!

I just recently started bringing my dog here and have been very satisfied thus far. My pup is very shy and nervous at first, and the Dogtopia team really seems invested in helping to ease her into the swing of daycare. I noticed some people take issue with the naptime crating, but I personally like that they do this. It gives my pup a chance to take a break from all the running and relax for a bit, which I am grateful for. The staff is knowledgeable, flexible, and friendly. 10/10 will return!

Just looking at the website, and I noticed that at doggie day care, they crate your dog for 2 hours a day during lunch time 12-2pm. If I wanted my dog in a cage, i might as well just leave her home I think.. and the cost is more than some other places that dont do this. Im sure its a great place otherwise, but that makes no sense. How do they stay in business??

Very rarely do I write a review on here but I do not want anyone else to have the same situation.I board my dog over Memorial Day weekend for four nights. He is an energetic 5 year old pup and I picked Dogtopia for the open play concept.Except that is not what happened. Every time I looked at the camera which was almost every hour, he was crated. When I called to ask about it they said they had too many dogs to let them out all at one time. I understand safety, but I am not paying for my dog to be crated more than he is out.Next, when I came to pick my dog they brought out the wrong dog. Which is telling me they do not keep track of the pups very close.Finally, I got him home and gave him a bath only to find a giant gash on his side, and a split in his tail, which was bleeding. NONE of this was brought to my attention when I picked him up.When I called and spoke with Nicole, she said that the injury to his tail probably happened when he was crated. Well maybe because he was crated for the majority of the four days he was there. I have to take my dog to the vet to treat the split in his tail which is another added expense. I am STILL waiting for the owner to call me back to address these issues.

Obviously customer service isn’t of importance. Saturday(11/30) & most importantly it’s the weekend & you have no availability for “self” dog wash until Tuesday12/3. No appts needed but a customer can’t come until Tuesday. Instead of advertising incorrect operations of “self walk in dog wash” do away with it. If you’re not available for the vast majority of people that washes their dogs on the weekend regardless for your staff needing to use it. Just forget your walk in customers.. Former customer. I’ll travel further away for better customer service.

I love how much the staff really knows and loves dogs. Zeke T. (yes, that little guy!) only comes in once a week, but everyone who sees him knows his name, loves his smile, and really seems so into their job! The facilities are perfect, and I really enjoy watching Zeke play on the webcam. The employees are attentive to their charges even in private, and my baby always comes home exhausted and happy.

I have been taking my dog to daycare about once a week for a year at this location. Everyone that works there is extremely friendly and helpful. They remember my dog each time and he loves going to spend the day there! I have also boarded my dog a few times and have been very pleased with the service.

My dog Jack is a wire haired terrier mix and has way too much energy. He goes every workday to Dogtopia and loves it so much he barks excitedly when we get within two blocks. He wags and runs up to the dogkeepers and rushes up the stairs to the playroom. The care they give is good and it is clear they hire people that love dogs. I have used them for over a year and have had zero issues that are negative.

The team knows my puppy very well and are extremely responsive if I call or email a question about her!

All the staff are so friendly. There is always a place for my Bradlee to show up and hang out with his many doggie friends. Thank you for being there for us . Have gone through a family emergency recently and you guys at Dogtopia were flexible and there for us. My dog is so happy when I tell him he is going to Dogtopia that he leaps up in the air. And he is happy (and tired) when I bring him home at the end of the day too.

My dog always loves to be dropped off at Dogtopia...his home away from home. I can watch him on their webcam & he always comes home happy. The minute we round the corner on our way he cant wait to get out of the car & run into. The surroundings always are clean & smell good...no doggie odors. The employees are always happy to see you and your dog and will be glad to give you a report on your dogs day! Wouldnt trust anyplace else!

The initial visit for evaluation was good and they seemed knowledgeable. I took my dog there for the first visit of daycare and watched the webcam. He spent 80% of the time inside of a dog crate. When I asked at pick up, I was told he did great and played all day. I took him there to socialize and play. If hes going to be crated most of the time, its a complete waste of time and money. Very, very disappointed.

Definitely a Grade A facility. I love taking my dog here because 1) the facility is clean, feels new 2) my dog always has a great time and 3) the customer service is excellent. You always know theyre having fun and playing a lot if they come back home and sleep for the rest of the evening.Its located off Boiling Brooke Road behind Rockville Pike, and although the facility is a bit hidden, you can find this location in the back buildings. It has plenty of parking space. You should see signs for Dogtopia as you head straight on Boiling Brooke Road.Ive taken my 1 year old dog here since she was 4 months old. Ill take her here whenever I have a busy day ahead of me and theyre always accomodating and welcoming. If you call ahead to let them know that youre bringing your dog, they may ask you to bring updated vaccine and other medical records for your dog. If you have medical records for your dog at another Dogtopia facility, theyre really nice about getting records from that other location and making sure they have all the updated information on your dog at the location you go to.I have also asked them to give my dog a bath as well! I let them know that my dog has really dry skin and they suggested an oatmeal bath for her. When I came to pick her up, not only was she looking stellar, but she smelled really nice.I love Dogtopia! I definitely recommend taking your dog to Dogtopia White Flint --they get to socialize and expend all of their energy in a positive and playful environment! The customer service and facility maintenance is excellent, and you just dont see the same quality in other doggy day care/pet boarding establishments in the area.

We have peace of mind when our dog Barley is at Dogtopia. We know she is safe when we are away, and that makes us happy! She is not fond of crates, so the open area play is great for her. The rates are a bit pricey, but we are willing to pay them occasionally for boarding, as we get to check in on her via the webcams. If the rates were slightly lower, we would definitely visit more often. However, for a day of romping with friends or a safe place to stay while we are out of town, we prefer Dogtopia WhiteFlint.

But my dogs was crated in the absence of those situations, and some others were playing outside, so it is completely unclear why they decide to crate some dogs but not the others.To prove my point, I just tracked the time. My dog was crated from 10:50-11:30, then again from 11:35 to I am writing this review. I really couldnt see the point of crating a 6-year old dog who only has moderate energy and just want to be around others.

You think Riley is just adorable and treat him like a king! He really enjoys his special sleepovers and guarding his castle in Romper Room!

Dog always has a good time, people are friendly, I feel my dog is safe there.

I’ve been taking my dog here for a little over 7 months and it’s not that different than taking her down the block and letting a neighborhood child watch her. Much like the neighborhood child, this place lacks proper supervision.I have been a regular customer during the past 7 months and no manager has ever introduced themselves. More often than not, there is only one person at the desk. This person needs to run up stairs to get or drop off your dog, conduct transactions, and answer the phone. Occasionally there are 2 people, but there are also many times when no one is at the front desk. Often there are people coming and going from the back office, yet never once have do they offer assistance to the person at the desk. Once, while several of people were waiting, they interjected to ask a question of a person who already was quite overwhelmed. Needless to say, you can spend more time than expected dropping off and picking up.When leaving my dog in the care of someone else, the most important factor is trust – a confidence that my dog will be well cared for and my instructions followed. Though I’ve encountered many pleasant individuals, the change over in personnel here is quite frequent. Considering the front desk appears to be the nucleus of the operation, there appears to be a new person here every week or two. It’s never clear to me that when I drop her off for an overnight stay that my instructions will be followed. The person at the front desk is busy – and though they may take notes – I worry.The location is a pain – you’ll certainly have trouble finding it that first time. It’s buried deep behind White Flint in a non-obvious place. There are also a few traffic nuances in the neighborhood to be on the lookout for. There’s a nearby school, so traffic in the morning can be labored. The webcams are nice, but slow with a limited viewing angle. The website and pamphlet indicate there’s an outside area, yet there is no outside area – the dogs are kept in the same room all day.The business hours, especially for a place in the DC Metro area, are very limiting. They open at 7 am and close at 7 pm M-F. Saturday the hours are from 10-5 and Sunday 11-2. In general, these are not the most convenient if you’re headed into DC or catching a flight. It’s also a little concerning as to what happens to your pet between 7 at night until 7 in the morning. My impression is they just put them in the crate at closing and they don’t see the light of day until 7 the next morning. It’s surprising they don’t offer more flexibility.Pricing is a little high, but not so much out of line with similar services in this area. It’s about $30 for daycare and another $20 for overnight.Parking is limited and can be a little busy at drop-off and pick-up times. Snow removal is poor and icy conditions possible. Maybe it’s because I’m in customer service, but I find it surprising they don’t do more to remove such obstacles. The lack of thoughtfulness by the management is apparent with many of the employees parking in the front of the building. In fact, often a Mercedes, likely the owner’s, with a Dogtopia logo is often parked next to the front door. Most businesses would leave the best parking spot for the customers.In summary, I use this place because there aren’t any other good alternatives. The location is out of the way, most people pick-up and drop-off at similar times, and the front desk person is busy multi-tasking, so it’s fine for once a week, but not something I would do more often. There appears to be very little supervision by management, at least when it comes to customer service, and there’s no reason to believe this is different with the other aspects of the business. The staff is very youthful and appears to change over quite regularly. I wish I could recommend this place, but I can’t. My advice, if there’s someone in your neighborhood who appears trustworthy, you may be better off and save a buck-or-two in the process.

KENNEL NIGHTMARE! I have met the owners, vice president, and manager. they have said this quote many times WE ARE NOT DOG PEOPLE IN BUSINESS, WE ARE BUSINESS PEOPLE THAT HAPPEN TO WORK DOGS they dont care about the clients dogs safety, they will willingly place 55 or more dogs loose in one room with 1 person to take care of them. Food storage has been plagued by bugs. kennel cough runs around once a week, staff is NOT trained properly, The place is constantly visited by Animal care investigators. Workers are overworked and stressed,you name it, it is a KENNEL NIGHTMARE.

I was a bit unsure with the negative comments but my partner encouraged me to give it a shot and Im so happy I did! Rowan loves it here and so do we!

Took my dog for a bath for the first time (usually go to a Dogtopia in Virginia) the staff were friendly but the The conditions of the place are horrible, dirty everywhere, they do not have hair dryer, they only give you shampoo and a towel, there was a dog that had been washed and they were using a fan to get the dogs hair dry... it looks nasty everywhere...

The hours, midday nap time, Interaction with the other dogs and the opportunity to have spa services during the daycare day! The staff has been very friendly and Coby has come home exhausted each time!

As some others have stated, my dog spent more than half of her time in a crate on her 7 day stay. Apparently, they also failed to give her her medicine with each meal, resulting in her skin allergies flaring up, creating scabs, etc. She looks horrible. Ive spent $800 here in the last 30 days for holidays travels, but Ill be taking that money elsewhere in the future.

The people really care about dogs. Theyre undergoing a remodel, so things are a bit of a mess right now, but theyve upgraded their cameras so you can watch your dog play all day.
