The office is small but fits the need of the clientele. The doctor himself seems fine, and fills the prescription angle while I see a counselor for actual therapist work. Ive had a missed appointment without charge due to circumstances, so theyve been cooperative in that regard. No complaints.

I came here to write what Todd Cooper more eloquently explained below. It is 100% factual, and not at all exaggerated. Im sure there are many more with similar experiences. Dr. Blaes should have chosen a different profession.

I had an unfortunate situation with Dr. Blaes, at first he was helpful in the beginning of my treatment however, without any warning or any kind of notice, he was very negligent and terminated all medical treatment with me. Dr. Blaes did not have the common courtesy to send me a letter informing me of his decision to stop treating me. To this day, I still dont know why Dr. Blaes purposely chose to be neglectful, unprofessional and disregard my health and well being. I only discovered his abandonment when I attempted to set up a follow up appointment with him, but my voice messages went unanswered. A few weeks later, I made another attempt to make an appointment with Dr. Blaes only to be ignored twice. I later learned from the office receptionist that since he is blatantly ignoring my messages, they can only assume he no longer wants to treat me anymore. This type of behavior especially coming from a Psychiatrist is extremely irresponsible, inexcusable and to say the least, very careless. Its hard to believe that he specializes in the treatment of mental health and ignores calls from patients and ban them from all future treatment by him. I absolutely do NOT recommend Dr. Blaes to anyone. I shared my experience with my new Psychiatrist who strongly disapproved and condemned Dr. Blaes mistreatment towards me (his patient). My new Psychiatrist assisted and coached me on how to get a reply from Dr. Blaes, (which actually worked)! He finally returned my call only out of sheer embarrassment since I had to call on another Psychiatrist to bring on the pressure for Dr. Blaes who owes me an explanation as to why he abandoned me while I was under his care and treatment. Dr. Blaes gave me a loathing reply in an unnecessary defensive tone, claiming I am no longer your doctor. I asked him why he dismissed me from his practice, he replied, Im not sure if the medication I prescribed you is working. So he clearly alluded to just easily giving up on patients without a remedy or any concern for the patient whenever he feels like he no longer wants to treat the patient. He should man up and tell me this so I dont waste my time with his incompetence. In my opinion and my experience with Dr. Blaes, he does not find any value in his patients, his patients are merely there to provide a paycheck, and not worth his time shall he chooses to terminate his relationship with his patients out of the blue, which is terrifying, a huge legal liability that can lead to patients with severe mental illnesses to commit suicide, carry out dangerous behavior and jeopardizing the innocent public. His insensitive behavior was very detrimental to my health, causing me to be out of my prescribed medication, left untreated for a long period of time until I found a new Psychiatrist, leaving me with no sense of direction or instruction to follow. I couldve easily hurt myself or someone else due to his medical malpractice and unquestionable negligence. Stay far away from Peter Blaes. I dont think his practice will last.

I went to Dr. Blaes for memory loss and inability to focus (easily distracted) I received adderall to help be focus better, but my memory continued to decline. I met with him every three months for years, and years and every time I asked what can I do to improve this, it’s affecting my marriage. And every time, the answer was nothing. Nothing is out there that can help. Tonight my wife finally decided to leave permanently. And the biggest reason was my inability to remember little mistakes that repeated. My whole life is falling apart because of my memory. More recently I starting professionals at the Neurological Center, and after mountains of tests. They determined I suffer from years of sleep apnea and its significantly affected my cognitive ability. This is something that should have been discovered years ago as there were plenty of signs. Bottom line, the Neurological Center, said this time to find a new Psychiatrist.

I have been a patient for over two years and I missed an appointment and was charged a fee. I feel thats a little harsh for a patient who has never been late let a lone miss an appointment before. Not good customer service, front desk is very mean!!! On the other hand the Doctor is Great!

Extremely unprofessional. Went here as a new patient, and was told, after having an appointment made for a month and confirming it three days before, that they didnt have me on the schedule. After driving a half hour, they would not even try and fit me in. After this, they told me they couldnt fit me in for over a month, even though it was their fault that my appointment wasnt listed. Will not be trying to go back, and will be dissuading others from trying to go here.
