I have been going to Dr Richies office for several years now. He takes the time to get to know his patients, he knows about their lives and cares about them as a person. He is alwahs eilling to answer my questions and never recommends unnecessary fillings or procedures. His assistants and staff are friendly and highly skilled (i have worked with Lori most often and she is fantastic). I would highly recommend this office.

I love this doctor! He got me in quickly because I was having pain. He was quick and gentle! They worked with me doing payments plus they were less expensive than other offices and they gave me a discount because I am cash pay and don’t have I insurance. I’m so thankful for him. His staff is really sweet. They are well organized. The office is clean and bright. I highly recommend him.

The staff is so friendly and helpful. I have a 33 year-old daughter with special needs who sees the dental hygienist every 4 months for scaling of plaque on her teeth. The hygienist is very patient and efficient on getting the plaque off without causing too much distress to my daughter. Dr Richey is so likable and really cares about his patients safety and addresses their dental needs, whether on a regular scheduled appointment, or on an emergency basis. The location in Herriman is a fair distance from where I live, but it is worth the travel time and distance to me to receive such excellent care. I highly recommend this dentist and his staff.

Dr. Richey and staff are always pleasant to work with and try to make myself and my children comfortable. I had two kids that needed multiple teeth pulled, a scary thing for a child. Dr richey is amazing and so is his staff. I have a lot of work thats needs to be done because I hate going to dentists. I am a single mom of 4 and any extra money goes for them.It is embarrassing to me because of the condition of my mouth! My neighbor talked me into giving him a chance and so far Im happy I did. He wasnt judgemental at all and made me feel more comfortable and thats priceless to me. I go back in 2 weeks to finish up and Im actually excited to see the outcome. This is a HUGE self esteem issue for me, so I hope at the end of this I can smile again.

The dentist made a costly mistake.The staff are incredibly kind and the dentist is quick and careful, but ultimately I feel let down.I came to Lighthouse for a last minute root canal while my regular dentist was on vacation. They were quick to help, but ended up leaving a file in the root of the tooth. I wasnt made aware of it until I returned to my regular dentist complaining of pain and he pointed it out in an x-ray.I understand that files break, mistakes happen, and no one is perfect, but not being told about it, and the painful surgery and recovery that followed - all without apology - was frustrating to put it lightly.I feel, at the very least, I should have been told about the broken file. I had to go back to have an apico (they offered to do it for free), which was the worst procedure Ive undergone. In retrospect, I would have asked to be sedated as it was rough.Like I said, the staff is incredible, the location is clean and inviting, but I consider this to be on the scale of malpractice, and a bit shady.I would have let this slide, but the recovery after the second procedure was just too much not to speak up.Ill go back to get my stitches removed, but wont be coming back.

Dr. Richeys staff is friendly, helpful, and accommadating. Another dentist said I needed a root canal; I wanted Dr. Richey to do it as he had done such an amazing job with my daughter. I requested an appointment and they fit me in right away. A few days after the procedure, the decay went up into the root branches where a root canal procedure cannot clean. This caused increased pain. Dr. Richey and his staff fit me right back into their busy schedule and did all they could to eliminate the pain, working on me while still helping their previous appointments.Then, the office did not charge me again, even thought I took up an additional 2-1/2 hours to fix the tooth. They said Id already paid for the root canal and didnt have to repay for the same tooth. I was shocked, grateful, and very AMAZED! Thank you Dr. Richey and your kind staff.

I am not a patient here and now I am asking myself why I’m not. I had an orthodontic emergency and was in a lot of pain for the past 4 days and was unable to get into my regular orthodontist I was going to my last resort and that was to have my Husband cut my wire just to relieve the pain. I decided to look around at orthodontics near me and came across Lighthouse ... I called and was able to get seen within 20 minutes of my phone call to them not only did they help relieve the pain they took the time to actually fit my wire back into the bracket for me. They went above and beyond and I am so appreciative of them.I would highly recommend them

I have been going to lighthouse for over 10 years. With 6 kids we have done cavities, cleanings, braces, wisdom teeth you name we have done it. Dr. Richey is an outstanding dentist who truly cares for his patients and their dental health. Everything he does is with the long term perspective and what is best for the patient. I’ve had many cleanings, a cavity or two filled, and most recently, braces on my lower teeth, along with an invisalign type retainer system to straighten my top teeth, again (I had braces in my teen years, too). My collective experience with at Lighthouse Dental, with Dr. Richey and staff, has been wonderful. Dr. Richey is very knowledgeable, and everyone there is so friendly. I appreciate all the time and effort they’ve put into my dental care. They’ve taken such great care of me over the years. I highly recommend!

Bad Dentist, Great PersonI had a filling done by Dr. Richey a while back and it didnt go well at all. I ended up having to come back to have him redo it due to discomfort and pain while biting. He fixed it and I was on my way. I still had problems flossing as it was uncomfortable and never felt quite right. I finally decided to try a new dentist and the difference was night and day. Looking at the x-ray of my tooth the filling was full of gaps and needed to be redone. I had to done by the new dentist and feels as good as new. I thought I was a one time off thing for Dr Richey, bad luck, but after talking with a relative I realized I was not the only one. My relative had gone through an almost identical event and decided she needed a second opinion from the family dentist (lives further which is why she stopped going) same result bad filling causing discomfort.I have another story of a bad experience from another. I am not usually one to write poor reviews especially when I really do like the guy! Good guy, bad dentist.

Best dentist Ive ever had. Incredibly friendly staff who always takes the time to answer my many questions and explain each process to me.I originally got referred to Dr. Richey by a friend when I needed some minor orthodontic work done, and was amazed by the incredibly reasonable prices (since dental insurance doesnt cover adult braces). That is when I decided to go to Lighthouse Dental for all of my dental needs. I have since moved away from the Riverton area, and I still go to Dr. Richey.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We decided to do braces for my husband at his office, and I myself have had braces so I somewhat knew what the braces process was. After a year of braces, my husbands teeth were so bad. I understand that teeth can separate and all that during the process, but my husbands teeth were shifting all to one side, and his teeth were looking like upside down stair case. (his teeth were not that bad). Then we took my husband to different orthodontists in Riverton for second opinions and both said that he was doing the work very poorly. When I confronted him about this, he said give me one more month and if you decide to switch, then I will return half the money spent. Which by then we had almost 100% of the money paid $3000 out of $3800 that he was charging us. Well we waited one more month, and I didnt see any difference in his teeth, so then we made the decision to switch, which we were going to pay another $3800 to an actual orthodontist. I then called him to see how he would refund my portion, and he changed his mind, stating that he originally told us it would take 2 years and he needed that time to fix his teeth. When I told him that even the orthodontists was apologizing for him on behalf of all dental professionals he started swearing at me on the phone. I dont recommend going to a dentist for orthodontic work. Go to an actual orthodontist. Dr. Richey is very unprofessional, will lie, and make promises and doesnt follow through.

I wouldnt recommend this dentist at all. Brought my daughter in for an exam then later for work they were impatient with my daughter made her drink a horrible mixture to sedate her which had the opposite effect and made her freak out, at that point the dentist was extremely frustrated with us so we walked out. Very unprofessional with children. My daughter is now afraid of the dentist. Thank you for the horrible experience.
