Making this post on behalf of my boss. The doctor is truly great. He has perfect bedside manner, takes the time explaining everything and running the test needed. Was very impressed with this office.I personally have called on behalf of him and my mother who also goes here, and was astonished by the front office. I had a dust particle in my eye, I made a quick emergency appointment at Dr. Kansals office, which was very easy to get on same day.He did a thorough examination of my eye and took 2 particles out. This place is horrible relative to time management.I am a former patient of Dr Cotner. This place has changed ten fold over since Dr Cotner retired. Can be as long as 1.5 hour wait for a scheduled appointment. Continously year after year. Good care but terrible respect of the patients time.

My mother was due for a diabetic retinal exam and I found this location through her insurance. After reading the positive reviews I decided to make an appointment. Im glad I did. The staff is kind and professional. Dr. Kansal made my mother feel at ease by the way he explained the best options for her vision. He was very personable. I would definitely recommend him other family and friends.

I am glad that I had my cataract surgeries done by Dr. Rishav Kansal, the right eye on on July 16, and the left eye on August 13, 2019. I did not have any problem during or after the surgeries. My eyes are now 20/20 and I can read, write, watch videos and drive day or night, with ease and comfort.After two years of searching for an ophthalmologist, I decided to go with him because Dr. Kansal is a friendly doctor who gives time and chats with the patient, making me comfortable and homely at his office as well as at the surgical center.I also find his medical team at the Richardson office is also friendly and professional.The surgical center he used is very clean and modern.He carries my full recommendations.

He is very patient, explains all options and procedures and answers all questions thoroughly. He is also a skilled surgeon and the results of his performance command a five star rating.

Dr. Kansal serves both my wife and myself. His professionalism is superior. His knowledge and the equipment he uses is state of the art. He is patient with questions and anticipates questions and provides responses even before they are ask. The staff is proficient and always helpful.

Dr. Kansals office staff was super polite and helpful through the whole experience, always making the effort to respond to my questions and concerns. Dr. Kansal himself was very knowledgeable and always willing to spend extra time addressing any concern I brought up. He never seemed in a hurry to leave the room. Felt very good about my experience with cataract surgery with Dr. Kansal. Mine was a little complicated because of previous corneal transplant, but Dr. Kansal figured everything out. I visited Dr. Kansal 18 months ago on the recommendation of my neighbor. I had previous retina/lens replacement surgery (by another doctor) and was due a follow up to clear up some artifacts left over from the lens replacement surgery. Like my neighbor, I was so pleased to meet Dr. Kansal. He was very engaging and willing to answer questions and discuss what was going on. It seems to me he is a very caring person. He was able to use a laser to clear up my post surgery issues in short order. I have gone to several well recommended ophthalmologists before and have almost always walked away disappointed in them being rushed or fairly cold demeanor. This was not the case for Dr. Dr. Kansal. He is not only a keeper, I have been recommending him to anyone that needs his services.

This is most kindest, respectful & professional doctor I have ever had in my life. The staff is very friendly & courteous, very warm atmosphere, no long waits, the most I have had to wait was 10 mins max. Dr Kansal takes his time and explains in our language and not Dr jargon to confuse you. I was hesitant when Dr. Cotner retired. I valued the time he took explaining what he saw as he examed my eyes. I truly wondered if Dr. Kansal was going to treat his patients with such care.Well, Dr. Kansal has and continues to treat his patients with care. I just went in for my second yearly checkup with Kansal and am over joyed. His knowledge of Marfan Syndrome and its effect on the structure of my eyes is on point. His kindness in the time he took was much appreciated. And his evident gratitude to Cotners patient base staying with him was refreshing to hear from a doctor.I highly recommend reaching out to his staff if you are looking for a great eye doctor.

Dr. Kansal recently took over the practice of the physician who had been our family’s eye doctor for over 40 years (Jerry Cotner, MD). I was a bit leery of starting with a new doctor, especially since Dr. Cotner really is a one-in-a-million provider. However, I quickly found that Dr. Kansal possessed every quality that kept me as a patient of Dr. Cotner for such a long time. Not only is Dr. Kansal an extremely knowledgeable physician, which is really a minimum requirement for me, but he is also extremely personable and really embodies what you would think when you hear the term “great bedside manner”. I recently had cataract surgery, and was a bit nervous. Dr. Kansal took the time to answer every one of my, and my husband’s, questions without us feeling rushed or hurried. The surgery turned out to be a relative breeze, as was my recovery. Through the process, I really got the feeling that I was a person and not just a pair of eyes, as well as the sense of being genuinely cared for as an individual. These are all qualities I found in Dr. Cotner, and I’m so please that Dr. Kansal arrived to receive the baton when Dr. Cotner retired. I’d recommend him without reservation.
