I have had a procedure done on me by Dr Ramakrishnan and am very highly impressed by his competence and professionalism. He gives you ample time and listens to your concerns. No rushing! He won’t rush into surgery for profit! I highly recommend this ENT doctor!

If possible I would have given negative rating for this doctor (at least that’s what his profession/degree officially claims to be)! I took my wife to him for a visit as she has been suffering from some kind of oral problems as well as tonsillitis. The primary care physician, whom we consulted with before, suggested to have her checked by an ENT Specialist. That’s how we ended up with this doctor at Raleigh Capitol ENT (based upon the internet reviews of several other ENT specialists at nearby area). However, at the end of the day we had the appointment with him, both of us were so shocked that we were thinking if this was the worst ever medicare/doctor we have ever visited in our life till date! Below are all that this person (I really hate him to call a doctor as that would be an insult to the profession) could come up with upon going through the intial medical history of my wife and after checking her mouth, throat and ears:1. “I really don’t understand what is your problem” (with a confused outlook)2. “I don’t know what medicine to prescribe” (with a blank expression)3. “You please google on your own about the problem you are having and try at home what google suggests”YES, those are the only statements we got in return of paying for an ENT SPECIALIST visit!!! We understand that a doctor can be wrong in his opinion or not so sure about the problem at first place. But statements like the above and that too when you call yourself a specialist in that area - are you kidding??? Unbelievable!!!! Based on our past experiences with different doctors till date, we are pretty much sure that this person has ZERO knowledge in his profession and he himself googles on the medical details/symptoms that one fills in prior meeting the patient to get an idea what could be the problem. And if this little research works out, then only there is a chance of hearing some advice from him (of course it will be anyway GOOGLE advice/suggestions, not an medical expert’s opinion based on his/her expertise/experience in the profession)!

I felt that the hearing test was just a way to make money selling hearing aids. I already knew I did not have BPPV so the rest of the visit was just go home and see if this vertigo disappears.

I found Dr Ramakrishan to be very professional and kind.
