I have narrow ear passages, therefore, a normal ear irrigation does not work for me. I did a google search and found Dr. Holmes in regards to ear vacuuming and have been a dedicated patient for a few years now. He is pleasant and great at what he does. The office and medical staff are very pleasant as well.

Dr. Holmes and his staff are so incredible. Very welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. He genuinely cares about finding the root of the issue and will take the necessary steps to get to the bottom of it. Highly recommended!

Dr. Holmes is not only a highly skilled and knowledgable surgeon, but he is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. After patiently discussing all of my concerns, and carefully reviewing my medical history, it was determined that the best course of treatment fo me would be sinus surgery, and a tonsillectomy. I have suffered for many years from chronic sinus infections, horrible allergies, and repeated episodes for strep throat. Scheduling these procedures was simplified through his extraordinary nurses and office staff. All of which are incredibly kind, informative, and highly responsive. After my sinus surgery, my husband had some concerns, and when he called the after hours number, Dr. Holmes personally answered call. He never made us feel like a inconvenience, and was able to quickly resolve the issue, but graciously offered to meet us at his office if need be. Dr. Holmes even called my husband the next morning, a Saturday, to follow up and ensure I was okay. We were completely blown away by his compassion, and concern.Dr. Holmes made quite a impact on me when it came time for my tonsillectomy. I went into this procedure knowing that this would be a very painful recovery, but oddly looking forward to the longterm relief it would offer me. With that being said, my anxiety was riding relatively high the morning of surgery. Dr. Holmes sat and spoke with me so calmly, answering any last minute questions-and carried such a sense of reassurance and confidence that I really needed in that moment. When I entered the OR Dr. Holmes was there waiting for me. The anesthesiologist was struggling to locate a vein for my IV. I was lying on the table, scared, freezing, and diving way too deep into my own head of thoughts... Dr. Holmes almost immediately picked up on this, and moved his chair right next to my bed. He began talking to me about cooking, and he even remembered me telling him at our first appointment about my passion for health and eating well. He kept talking to me, never allowing my attention to go towards the anesthesiologist. He had such a natural, calming aura to him, for which I am incredibly Grateful. Something that may sound so minimal, actually resonated so deeply for me.I have never encountered a more knowledgable, kind hearted, friendly, and highly responsive team as I have with Dr. Holmes staff. They are truly some of the warmest people I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. I am forever Grateful and Appreciative for each and every one of them, especially Dr. Holmes.

I am very grateful to Dr Holmes! A year ago, I had a persistent and recurring ear infection which caused me pain, worries and worse of all tinnitus. My regular doctor kept insisting she didnt even see any inflammation. Dr Holmes saw me right away, gave me the right antibiotics, ran many tests and got to the bottom of it. He is compassionate and thorough. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Holmes was an amazing find! He diagnosed and treated my nasal issues with an appointment and subsequent surgery. It was painless and efficient. He spends all the necessary time and care with you and answers any questions or concerns with attentive detail. He also treated my daughter with the same quality care. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Holmes for any misdiagnosed/un-diagnosed ENT issues.

Definitely one of the best doctors I’ve seen in a long time. He takes time listening to you and helping to explain different treatment options. He is clearly well experienced and treats his patients with dignity and respect. The staff is wonderful also.

Ive suffered from chronic sinusitis rhinitis for years and Dr Holmes is the first doctor to discuss treatment plans and find ways to get me OFF medicines and live a more productive and healthy life. He is all for whats right for me!! He understands my triggers that cause flair ups and rather the push pills down my throat he has supported finding stress relievers (massage therapy, chiropractic work, anything that keep my stress triggers at bay) Hes easy to talk to... matter of fact with a since of humor. I recently had nasal polyp removal and I feel amazing. Literally six hours post opp and zero discomfort with limited pain management. So happy to have a doctor I trust and who has my best interest at heart. He genuinely cares about my well being and I am sincerely grateful. I will have a continued relationship with Dr Holmes for the management of my condition and I couldnt be in more capable hands. Hes is the sixth ENT Ive had over the last four years! The search is OVER. Never retire Dr Holmes... You have a gift.

Dr. Holmes and his staff are amazing. He made me feel like the most important patient and was in tune to my troubles and concerns. He wasn’t trying to rush me out the door like most other doctors running through their schedules. He came recommended by dozens of people and now I know why.

Dr. Holmes and staff are wonderful. He saw my son 6 yrs ago and my daughter 4 yrs ago and I am having to take my new baby to him in the next couple of weeks. But he takes such good care of his patients. So professional, kind and friendly. Wish all experiences were like this.

What a very pleasant office! Everyone that works there are the nicest of people. Even though I was there because I was suffering from my 80th sinus infection, Dr. Holmes gave me hope. He was cheerful and easy going. He said something to effect of, Not to worry Elizabeth, we will get this straightened out for you. And patiently explained what was going on and the remedy. I found Dr. Holmes through Google and had read all the reviews. They were able to squeeze me in Christmas Eve, to which I was so grateful for.

We were referred to Dr. Holmes by our pediatrician for my daughters persistent tonsillitis. Dr. Holmes suggested a tonsillectomy and the surgery was scheduled right away. He and his entire staff were helpful, caring, and knowledgeable. Each of them was compassionate and understanding with my daughter, who was extremely nervous about having surgery on her throat as she is an accomplished singer. Since her surgery, she has had some unrelated throat issues for which Dr. Holmes has referred her to another ENT who specializes in young singers. I so appreciate his willingness to go the extra mile and the unwavering care and professionalism we have always experienced from the entire staff at ENT & Audiology Associates. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

My husband was told by Dr. Holmes that he thought all his issues were due to his tonsils, but to double check with a GI doctor to confirm it wasnt acid reflux. He had a chocking sensation that would not go away and his tonsils were enlarged. He went to a GI doctor and had a endoscopy done. The GI doctor told him to take acid reflux medicines. This did not resolve his symptoms. He went to a ENT in Clayton, NC and was told that he did not need his tonsils removed and to only remove the tonsil stones. He went back to Dr. Holmes and had his tonsils removed and eventually had to get his uvula removed as well. He is doing so much better and his chocking sensation is now gone along with his neck being very skinny now. Dr. Holmes is great because he listens to his patients without interrupting, knowledgeable and his staff was fantastic. We called his nurse multiple times during the first week after surgery and we were able to get a quick follow up appointment. We thank the Lord for Dr. Holmes.

Im 100% impressed with not only Dr. Holmes but his staff as well. They care about their patients and do their best to get you well. Dont go to Mann ENT and dont go to Capital ENT!!!! Learn by my mistakes and see Dr. Holmes and his staff. Theyre awesome. God bless those people.

There are 2 members in my family that are hearing impaired (my son and my wife) and both see Dr. Holmes.Dr. Holmes discovered a large blockage in my sons ear canal that a doctor from another practice totally missed. The other doctor told us that my sons hearing was getting worse and hed need new hearing aids.I was able to reschedule an appointment to a slot a week earlier that better fit our schedule, great staff, great Doc!Thank you Dr. Holmes and Staff for being there!

Dr. Holmes was amazing when my daughter went into Rex Hospital after having an abscess in her throat drained 2 days prior by another Dr.The abscess had descended further into her throat and they needed to do emergency surgery. The dr. on call for the Rex practice she had been to did not even have privileges to do surgery at Rex and wanted to move her to Wake Med at 10:30pm. (she was already on an IV and in a gown)Dr. Holmes was on call for Rex hospital and after reviewing her case he said he would most definitely perform the surgery. At 1am he was removing her tonsil and draining a very bad abscess , he was wonderful! He even gave me his cell # in case I needed anything and didnt want to go through the office phones. It was very comforting having him scrub up and get a team in place to do this surgery. We were very impressed by his bed-side manner.

What a horrible experience!!!!! My son Anthony has has been suffering for years with a nasal drainage and other problems. We were referred to Dr. Holmes and when my wife told him we wanted a procedure done he actually laughed at my wife and said that is expensive without insurance. We looked over that as a we do with many things, we hear having a child with Down Syndrome, we often brush off throughout our lives.My wife and Anthonys Therapist all attended the meeting and did feel comfortable that the doctor would get us a price asap.We followed up today only to be spoken to as if we were a bother and an irritation to her day. Dr. Holmes and the staff at ENT & Audiology are amazing! Courteous, patient, and thorough in all they do. The office is extremely clean, the play area is perfect for young children, and we have never had to wait long for our appointments. My son was sent to Dr. Holmes after a poor hearing test. Dr. Holmes determined that my son needed tubes, as well as tonsils and adenoids removed and nasal turbinates reduced. NONE of the doctors my son had seen in the past for his allergies, sleeping issues, etc ever looked into these areas. Thanks to Dr. Holmes my son no longer suffers from sleep apnea, allergies or hearing problems!! I would recommend this practice to EVERYONE!

I reluctantly went to the Dr. Holmes (I have been to several ENTs in this area) after my mom (a nurse of 25 years) told me I needed to see a doctor for an ongoing scab I had in my nose that I thought was due to allergies. He diagnosed me with exactly what my mom thought I had, a bacterial infection. After 3 months of suffering, Im already starting to feel better after two days of visiting his office. He was very kind and took his time to assess me not just once, but twice. The nurse I had (I believe her name was Monica) was extremely sweet and very engaged to assure I received the proper treatment. I will be sure to visit him in the future if any other problems arise, and I would advise anyone else suffering with chronic issues to do the same. Thank you to the staff and doctor for making this a positive experience!

Had surgery for a deviate septum. I am breathing like a champ now. Dr. Holmes is straight forward, professional and relaxed and I would highly recommend his services.

He was so attentive and didn’t make you feel rushed. Most Drs are in and out as quick as possible and he made you feel like the only patient.

We love Dr. Holmes! I have three children. He has been our family ENT for 6 years. He was my moms ENT for over 15 years prior to me having my own children. He performed tonsil, adenoid, sinus and tubes on my 2 year old and she did very well after. Following that he did several tube surgeries for her through the years. She is now 8.5 and doing excellent! She couldn’t walk on balance prior to this surgery. She tilted her head because she couldn’t hear well. At first I was so nervous because of such a big surgery for a little 2 year old and wondered how necessary it was. I can honestly say nearly immediately following the surgery I was so glad I TRUSTED Dr. Holmes to take care of her. She started thriving in social settings and started pre-K and did so well moving forward, after given the proper care to help thrive. There were procedures that were needed and Dr Holmes knew exactly what they were. I’m so glad he did it in one surgery and didn’t bring us back multiple times for the finished result. He knew and he performed and I’m so grateful. My other daughter had her tonsils removed by him and has done very well, and then our son had a tongue clip at less than a month old and he healed SO quickly! I knew when I took our new baby to him I could trust him compared to the horror stories I heard on tongue clips. I can honestly say he is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He is very gentle with my babies and always has been. He is very focused on the morning of surgeries and I have learned to appreciate that because of the amazing job he does. He has an amazing staff and I mean amazing! His nurses are so personable and it seems the longer I have been there, the more nicer and kinder everyone has gotten. I had a procedure done yesterday and was so nervous and every single person of his staff put me at peace and the bed side manner has been priceless. I was so nervous it would be painful and I didn’t feel a thing. Dr Holmes is so careful and diligent with how he handles his work and it shows. His bed side manner with me yesterday was the best I’ve ever received from a doctor. I don’t normally write reviews but after 6 years, I think it is well over due.. I knew I needed to take the time to do this. From Exceptional compassionate front desk staff to the sweetest compassionate nurses and audiologist up to the very knowledgeable surgeon (who does an exceptional job) What more could you look for! Dr Holmes is the best! We love our ENT and his staff and we thank him for taking such great care of our family!

My only regret is not becoming a patient of Dr. Holmes sooner. I suffered from reoccurring sinus infections 3 or more times per year for years, which became more frequent in occurrence. After going to several other ENTs without any improvement, I finally started doing some research on my own, and was fortunate to find Dr. Holmes. My condition was so severe, the in-office sinuplasty procedure required a follow-up procedure at a day surgery center. I noticed that I could breathe significantly better right away. Surprisingly, I experienced no pain or discomfort from either procedure. Since my sinuplasty procedures approximately eight months ago, I have experienced no sinus infections or upper respiratory infections. I am thrilled to have found Dr. Holmes, and could not be more pleased with the outcome.

For my whole life, Ive suffered by chronic Sinusitus. Ive seen MANY ENTs that basically gave up and one (local) ENT even said that I was Making it all up.. I heard of Dr. Holmes and Balloon Sinuplasty and thought I would give that a try. For the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, I CAN BREATHE! The proceedure was simple, quick and life changing. Wont ever see another ENT as long as Im in Raleigh.

I think that is worng , he works hard and he took his time with my kids and with me telling me things about will happen and how that take care of them...... Dr holmes has treated my whole family from my step-dad to me and my kids, and we LOVE him as well as his staff. hes always been caring and patient with my twin toddlers (who both needed ear tubes) and ive never felt that he was in a rush. im also in the health care industry have have referred many people to him, all of whom have been very happy with his care.hes a sweetheart of a guy and cant imagine anyone having a negative experience with him.
