The girl that runs the front desk is extremely rude.... aside from that it’s a nice place.

I was disappointed by my experience with NCIAP Peoples Medical Care. I took my friend there for the first time in September 2017. He had some serious symptoms, like difficulty breathing, dizziness, nausea, headaches and a lump growing on the back of his head. When he walked out, he wasn’t given any information on what possibility could have gone wrong. They just prescribed him an antibiotic. The doctor said he wouldn’t even look at the lump on his head or check out the issues he was having with secretions from his eyes, because they werent “covered” under their services. On the positive side, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The wait time was very reasonable. They welcome walk-ins and they have the most affordable prices for a walk-in medical consultation (around $55 for regular visit). It was affordable and quick, but from a value perspective, it wasnt worth it. I would have rather spent more time and money to receive decent medical attention elsewhere.

Got in quickly. Listened. Did not segregate symptoms/ailments as so many do these days, which is medically dangerous.

*Edited for extra info and clarifying titles*My husband was referred by his therapist to this place for an antidepressant prescription. I immediately didn’t care for the place (some loud phone conversations where you could hear people’s information being talked about, the visits seemed rushed, etc)but due to budget concerns it’s what we could afford. $55 base and they check blood pressure and weight, have you wait up to 2 hours sometimes, to talk to you for 15 minutes. The nurse practitioner that we always saw did not show adequate concern for issues my husband was having as a result of his new medication. The first one he was prescribed was eventually causing bad side effects. I called and left a message and the call was not returned. At the next appointment I mentioned it, and the doctor said she hadn’t gotten a message and seemed to disbelieve that I had called. She didn’t seem concerned or offer to look into it. My husband expressed concerns that he would like to come off of his previous medication before getting a new one and she said it would help him with symptoms to get on another one right away. So he started the new medication. Uncontrollable muscle spasms, so bad that he couldn’t confidently pick up things. He also developed worse SI and uneven moods, but I was not given a chance to mention those. I called to let them know about this symptom and that he had discontinued use of the medication. I was interrupted by the receptionist and referred to the nurse, who also interrupted me before I could finish speaking. The nurse spoke to the nurse practitioner (I could hear the nurse practitioner in the background, but she went back and forth with the nurse to ask questions and relay messages to me), and all the nurse practitioner had to say is that he should drink more water and eat bananas. She also questioned as to whether we thought his symptoms were the result of the medication(the whole reason for the call), despite the fact that it’s a listed, but rare, side effect of the medication! She showed absolutely no concern for his wellbeing and asked no further questions about his condition. My husband drinks a lot of water already. He already eats bananas on a daily basis. Then I was told that he would need to come in to change his medication. That’s it. To me this interaction was thoughtless and negligent. I called back and cancelled the appointment. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would give zero stars if it was an option. You don’t even get what you pay for. We will be paying more elsewhere to receive adequate care.

Youre better off paying the money to go to a real doctor! Youll end up there anyway and then youve paid for both places!

Pharmacies in North Carolina do not give you medications but you have a prescription. There they made me the prescription for my medications because I am diabetic, I suffer from thyroid, etc ... Then I got my medications they charge $ 55.00 for the prescription. If it is in the afternoon it does not take long.
