I recently went to Hand and Stone Massage and Facial and received a facial from Meaghan Dohnert. Meaghan is new to the business but she did an amazing job. She was very professional and gentle with my skin. I told her I wanted to focus on removing the black heads from my nose and she did not disappoint. I left with my nose feeling smoother than it has in years. She also made me feel very comfortable and engaged in conversation only if I wanted to. She was respectful and made sure to communicate with me what she was putting on my face and how it helped/what it did. She answered all of the questions I had and made the overall experience peaceful and fun! I would definitely recommend her for a facial (or any other service you may desire) and plan to return myself!

My daughters booked me a surprise massage for my birthday and so this was my first time visiting Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa…my therapist today Ashley was amazing…I will definitely be booking again! Loved the atmosphere it was very relaxing! Ashley made sure I was comfortable and relaxed!

Ive been getting facials for the past year from Adrienne. She is friendly and knowledgeable. My skin redness is greatly improved. People constantly tell me they cant believe my age. i will continue to use her and this spa.

I absolutely loved my massage! Everything was very nice, new, and clean inside from the waiting area to the bathroom to the massage room. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Ariyonna, was absolutely AMAZING!!! I cant even explain to you how talented and professional she is. She definitely helped focus on some key areas that were giving me trouble. The atmosphere itself is very relaxing and calming. I highly recommend.

I’ve had the best massages ever here. Been going for many years. I had so much back and hip pain. They always get me back in working order!! And if you do a membership, you can share unused massages with friends and family.

I was employed here 2017 and came back in 2020. I use the membership and I would continue to even if I didn’t work here. The staff is full of people who are intentional with their energy and it’s transfer. They love their clients. The spa uses medical grade disinfecting products. Management is great and I love the environment. If you are looking for a low stress place to work or are looking for a spa to join, I wouldn’t look any further!

As someone who has had lower back pain for years now getting a massage every two weeks has become the normal for me. It helps me stay loose for my golf swing and nice and limber for when I have to get on the go with my demanding job. I was recently referred to Hand and Stone Massage and Facial.Tori explained all of their services and even though I was hesitant to get a facial she encouraged me just to give it a try. Im so glad I did! My massage therapist listened to exactly what I wanted and at the end of it all not only did I feel amazing I was also very impressed at the difference in my facial appearance.Everyone was very professional and they take the covid state mandated regulations very seriously. If I could give them six out of five stars I certainly would. Cant wait to go back! Thanks so much!

They continued to charge my account even after I jumped through their email hoops and phone calls to cancel initially..only to find out they continued billing me for months. When I called them on it, they said sorry we don’t issue refunds only credits. I had over a years worth of credits they charged on my card. I cancelled initially because you could never get an apt when needed. Then they said you have 3 months that use them or they expire. Hmm my $ didn’t expire.So Now suddenly when I make appointments they disappear from their system.The girl at the desk said sorry don’t see you on here. BTW I was holding the apt card they gave me the week prior when I had done the same type apt.Then she said well you can call back in a week or 2 because we are all booked out for a long time.Great Customer Service. NOT...No apologies.When I asked if I can speak to their manager she said “She will be here on Monday” Not a Hey let me have her call you or let me see if I can reach her. When I asked is their a corporate number where I can request a refund for the remaining sessions she said you can probably find it online.Bad Service for a place to relax.

Good quality massages in the past, but i scheduled an appointment a few weeks ago for tomorrow and they called today and cancelled, and gave no reason other than they had a scheduling issue. Non apologetic and told me they are booked the rest of the week. I do not plan to book with them next time.

Do not bother going to hand and stone. They don’t care about customers and their employees (specifically the masseuses) are inconsistent with quality. I had a bad experience with one masseuse who actually PASSED GAS 7 times during the massage - audibly, I heard it. And when I politely explained that I was unhappy with my overall experience they could only offer me a free massage and it was corporate policy to not give a refund. Forgive me for not giving them another chance but I implore you to not waste your time or money here.

I initially booked two single massages for a birthday weekend, the appt was made over the phone and confirmed by email. When we arrived the appointment was nowhere to be found forcing us to reschedule for the following week. I spoke with the manager and she was honest about the faulty system and allowed us to upgrade to a couples experience for no additional cost.We re-booked the couples massage with Oriana and Rhaman and we were very happy with the service. They were kind and hospitable, asked us questions about our preferences and made us very comfortable. I was pleased with their professionalism and well as their outstanding personalities.We were initially upset about not getting our first appt but the spa definitely made up for it. We would definitely recommend Oriana and Rhaman and will book with them in the future.

I honestly cant fathom that the are any negative reviews, the staff is extraordinary! But if you really want to have an amazing experience, you need to see Wondora for a facial, she literally pours love into you while she does your facial. Im a caregiver to my mother who has dementia and every Sunday mom and I head over to Hand and Stone. The hour I spend with Wondora is THE BEST therapy. Not because were talking, clearly we cant during Covid, but she has true love in her touch and god knows everyone could use a little more of that.

Poor record keeping. I used purchased a gift card from this location and when I went to use it today at a different location, it said the card had already been used. I called the Cameron Village location was told the card had been used already but I when asked how could have the card been used if I still have the card. The woman on the phone said I dont know. She said the card was used twice and refunded once. What? How? She couldnt give me an answer. The only thing she was sure about was that there is no money on the card and there is nothing they can do about it. Not helpful at all. I wont be going back to location. The Cary location staff is waaaaaaay better and the parking is easier over there also. Smh.

This holiday season I had come to Kansas. After 12 hours of driving, all you really want is for your body to stop the road vibration. Clearly this what Brought me to Hand & Stone Massage, an awesome place. Being that this was the busiest time, I was able to get booked . The setting is lovely clean, with nice staff and atmosphere. You can add anything to your experience, from lavender, hot stones a facial and and much more. My session was sheer bliss with Kevin, who is an amazing massage therapist. He customize my session as per my needs. He did a great job in my neck and shoulder. When I left I was walking on a cloud of joy. If, I lived here I would be there on the weekly basis. Go on call them treat yourself to some self love. I guarantee you won’t regret it. Sorry no pictures. I was too busy taking a time out to relax.

Great customer service. Excellent therapists. I had deep tissue with percussion therapy for very tight legs and back. Wow, much better now. I will definitely be going back. Probably looking at a membership so I can enjoy monthly. Incredibly clean facility. I was so comfortable there.

I had a massage appointment at 10:15 AM at 10:10 AM I get a phone call saying that my massage therapist is not in today. I drove almost an hour and I am just a few minutes away!!! Very annoyed with the situation and with the gentlemen that gave me a very poor customer service over the phone. I was told that the manger is going to call me but she never did. Thanks for nothing, I wont be back.

I love going to Hand & Stone for many reasons! I have always received a massage that just makes me melt! I love the use of hot towels. The atmosphere is serene and the front desk staff are so friendly. The deals they offer really make it an affordable option as well. I highly recommend Hand & Stone!

I had a great experience from the friendly front desk people to my massage. I was impressed with the ambiance and loved the relaxation time!

Massage was great and the people were very nice, however, we were duped. Their prices make no sense. I saw on the website that a couples massage was $30 more per person than and individual massage (which makes no sense at all). I called to confirm and the person I spoke to on the phone assured me that was wrong and that the total for a couples massage would be $110. When I went to pay, it cost well over $200. I am so upset and disappointed by their lies and duping. We will never return.Reply to Owner: you have all of my information from my intake paperwork. Managed to get an appointment for both my husband and I on the same day we booked. Both us were felt very welcomed into the salon by the front of house staff and both of us loved our treatment which we both agreed was refreshing, relaxing and concentrated on our areas of need. The only thing is the website wouldn’t allow me to book a couples massage on line.

After months of being quarantined and not really going anywhere I was super excited to get time to relax for an hour and take my mind off of things. I have a 6:30 appointment scheduled and I arrive in the area around 6:15. I’m calling and calling and no one is answering the phone. Then FINALLY at 6:27 a women answers the phone and give me the worst directions I have ever had in my life. I ended up calling back an additional 4 times just to find out where they where. I asked the women on the phone would it be best to reschedule because I am lost and I don’t want this affecting my time. The young lady says no just come on in. When I arrived they didn’t go over ANYTHING with me. Just started asked me to sign the back of the paper and walked me to the back. Once I got there the masseuse told me to lay down and put my head in this contraption that honestly made it hard to breathe. By the time the massage started it was 6:50 and it ended at 7:25. I was very disappointed because I asked to reschedule.The ENTIRE time I was so uncomfortable and upset. I was looking forward to catching a break and it turned out to be a huge mistake. I felt rushed. Do not waste your time.

Even though I was 20 minutes early for my appointment I ended up being 15 minutes late for my appointment because I could not find adequate parking. The underground parking that is offered underneath the Starbucks is a joke, at some point you will have to go out onto the street even from the parking garage to get to this location and on a night like tonight when there is pouring rain it totally ruins your so-called relaxing experience when you have to swim upstream to the building. Cameron Village is not all of that people if youre going to build an inclusive Center then make sure its inclusive, user-friendly and walker-friendly

Awesome people, environment, and vibes!

I called to schedule my very first massage at this location and someone answered the phone (I think her name was Amber). The way she answered the phone wasn’t very my polite or welcoming. I asked her a question about the online scheduling that wasn’t working and she answered me by saying “um hmm” in a very negative and rude manner. I immediately told her that I no longer wished to schedule an appointment because of her unprofessional demeanor and hung up. This business just lost a new customer.

The place is very clean and relaxing. Im giving three stars because my masseur cut my hour massage to 45 minutes. I had my appointment at 6:30pm and was in the room ready by 6:35 and he cut off my time around 7:18pm.. Im upset that I paid for an hour only to receive 45 minutes. I still tipped 20% because the job was decent but as a new customer I probably wont be back!

The food is always Hot, Fresh, and Delicious. Great staff too! They are friendly and welcoming.

I do not recommend this facility as a place of employment. I was hired at this location. I was was trained and was told I was being paid for my hours of training. Before my first day ever came around, we realized we had a misunderstanding about pay rate. So things did not work out. That was fine. I still was told that I will receive my pay for the training time I already spent with the company. I never received it. I have followed up with sarah-jean multiple times to resolve the issue. I was never rude about it. I even said there may have been a number missing or maybe someone mistaking entered my account number wrong. She said would take care of it and get back to me and never did. I have followed up many times and eventually she just stopped responding. Its been 4 months and I have still not been paid. I do not recommend this location of Hand&Stone franchise for employment. This situation was poorly handled.

Went here in the summer once...I paid for a 1 hour hot rocks massage and a 1 hour facial. the bed in the middle was warm. the warm was dim and calm music playing. the massage was amazing! the facial was excellent, the cream smelled GREAT as lady put the cream on my face and rinsing it again and again. cost can be high but worth it and may have to pay full price but dont want to become member and get high charges on my card that arent gonna be used...since I get a massages once or if im lucky 2x a year.

Alexa did my hot stone passage. She has magical hands and is very professional. She was very agreeable to emphasize places on my legs, back and hip that I felt needed deeper massage.

I was a member for a year and signed up mainly to get facials. I have had facials with every esthetician and unfortunately have not found a good fit. Despite always mentioning that I have very sensitive skin, the exfoliation is always very rough and they push using the ‘buff puff’ which my dermatologist advises against. Most of the products burn my skin which may be due to the excessive exfoliation or just because my skin is sensitive (which I always communicate). I always have to have products removed and swapped for other options. It doesn’t seem like they make notes on clients because the same issue happens every time I’ve gone and I specifically have to tell them what does and doesn’t work for my skin which takes away from what should be a relaxing experience. I have had a couple of good massages but it seems like the good therapists always leave or are very had to get in with. Thankfully they were kind and accommodating when I canceled and staff has always been friendly and easy to work with.

I was treated by my family to receive a massage. Very confusing before the door shut. Receptionist was unclear, but determined to offer services that was not already planned. A gift certificate and services were prepaid and planned. Thought the misunderstanding was cleared up, till the therapists offered services that was not planned, just because the receptionist was determined to have it her way...this was a total flop. Therapist had no idea...when approached, the receptionist was very defensive. Even asked for a credit card for services that were already paid. Wanted to know about the tip...asked to speak to a manager. Not there..Several calls were made at different times to speak with a manager to no avail...never received a call back. I would hope that your customer service was important as you have stated, it is not in this case...I’m wondering if management even knew about this total screw up....

Gave the wife a massage for a birthday gift and she really enjoyed it and came out so relaxed and stress free. Good job Hand and Stone!!

My first visit to hand and stone and was extremely disappointed. I arrived well ahead of my appointment but wasn’t taken back on time. The therapist wasted at least 5 minutes chatting with me and then didn’t return quickly after I undressed. My massage ended at about 13 minutes before the hour so all told I really only got a 30 minute massage. The massage was ok but I had asked for an add on that I did not get. Luckily they did not try to charge me for it. Then they tried to push a package on me. I have had many massages in my life and this was a terrible experience.

Super disappointed in my recent experience here. Not customer friendly at all, when things happen beyond your control. They say weve done everything we could have done, when in reality, they havent. So disappointed. I used to be a member here, this is the only place I go for massages and waxes, same with my fiancé. I even went as far as to purchase my father a Hand & Stone gift card for his birthday, at a location in a separate state. Im extremely disappointed. I was told that if I call corporate, they will tell me the same thing Im getting told via phone...as a PhD student with a full time job and I travel a lot, I liked knowing I had Hand and Stone locations around the country to visit. After this particular experience, I will not be returning. Im overly kind and understanding, but they are not customer friendly at all. Honestly, so disappointed. They act like they are doing you a favor, when in reality, youre the one that is still getting the short end of the stick, and youre the customer. Never again.

Ive been going to the Cameron Village location of Hand & Stone on a regular basis for about 3 months now. The massage therapists are fantastic! They really care about making the experience an exceptional one. Also, the people at the front desk are very professional, whether in person or over the phone. If the business had any kinks to work out at start up, they have obviously done so!

My wife set up an account approximately 10 months ago to have money taken out every month for massages. We have been trying to cancel the automatic deduction from my account but someone didnt put forth the request for cancellation. On 12/17/17, another transaction of $49.95 was taken from my bank account, AGAIN ! I immediately called to see why this had taken place. I was told that it was probably around the time our team was transitioning and thats why the request wasnt done. Mind you, the transaction was the 10th time. My wife & I had every intentions to get massages but shes always working and I am a disabled veteran. So the reason for so many sessions were not used is because we could not get to the spa. I had to call my bank and put a block against Hand & Stone. I called the Corporate office all day today without anyone answering my call. The manager said she spoke with the real manager about my situation because she is on paternity leave. They said I can get 3 sessions refunded with 6 sessions on a gift card. I wasnt happy with that because I would rather have a full refund and just be done with Hand & Stone. I would advise anyone not to give them your card info because youre going to regret it. So it looks like the customer is not right in this situation. They are trying to MAKE ME USE THEIR SERVICES WHETHER I LIKE IT OR NOT. Never been one to back down from a fight so here we go. Absolutely amazing I have to go through this. I just want a refund.

I had an outstanding facial with peppermint oil scalp massage (highly recommend) and a 1 hour massage that left me truly blissful. The staff had great energy and were very professional and accommodating. I recommend their services!

Instead of using the proper channels which would have prevented me from booking with that massuese again, he walked me out and asked me if I smoked. When I said I did he told me to never book him again. Sorry when Im on an auto draft I dont need a guilt trip because you sense cigarette smoke Somewhere. Literally have given this company and its employees hundreds of dollars since I moved here. Worst way to lose 90$.

I had the best massage ever from Philip. My second massage was with a different person and it was AWFUL. He also had practices that clearly were not OK.I spoke with the manager, Sarah, immediately after my bad massage and she was absolutely wonderful while addressing my issue. Despite my bad experience, I plan to come back because the manager was so customer-focused and kind.

My husband called on a Saturday morning and booked massages for the two of us for that same afternoon. Since it was to be our first time there, they asked us to arrive 15 minutes prior to our appointment time and we did. However, when we checked in at the desk, they had no reservation for us. We were quite frustrated but these things do happen of course, and as it was no fault of their own, the ladies at the desk could only apologize and ask us to leave our name and phone number so they could let the manager know what had happened and let her contact us to work it out.Cut to more than a week later and we still had not heard from the manager so I called back and asked to speak to her. I was told she would call me back later which she did. She said that she had heard something about this from the staff and it turned out she was the one who supposedly took the reservation when my husband called but said she had no recollection of speaking to him. She then offered a lukewarm apology and a free aromatherapy with our next service.I dont know whats more concerning...that a place would flub a reservation and not offer anything more than a cheap add-on to your next full price service or that the manager had heard something about this situation and didnt bother to contact us about it to attempt to make it right. Lesson learned. If you want good service, go to a real spa, not a chain masquerading as one.

Just visited for the first time, made reservation on the phone yesterday- ladies were polite and efficient, I even received a text reminder about the appt this morning..Treatments were 1hr deep tissue massage with Vincent and 1hr facial with Rachel. I could not be more pleased or relaxed after this experience. I will be back!

I treated my mother and I to a mothers day massage last year and it was great. The staff is very friendly the place is nice, and the massage was very relaxing and great. I definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Great customer service and therapist

Nothing but great experiences here! Ive been a member since summer 2015--previously I had been a member at the North Raleigh Location--which was also great. This newer location is wayyy closer to my home and they can fit me in the day I call, most of the time.My only minor complaint is there is occasionally an issue with sound proofing. With a new apartment complex surrounding it and what seems like constant construction, an occasional thumping can be heard through the walls.

I was a massage therapist at this spa for nearly two years. During my time there I witnessed the management and owners run this place into the ground and drive away every good massage therapist and esthetician. It was not uncommon to have large portions of your paycheck mysteriously missing, and when asked about missing money you would get endless emails and never a straight answer. Most employess got so fed up they quit in anger and some even filed complaints with the department of labor (and won). I can give you about 10 names of former employees that can vouche for everything Im writing here.The owners of this spa are not to be trusted and should honestly be in jail. They will stab any employee in the back to steal a little money to finance their vacations without thinking twice. During my last 6 months working there they stole over $500 from me by manipulating commissions on every paycheck.The review up here left by DeAndrea is just a small example of the theiving tricks the owners pull on their employees. Her story is 100% true because I remember working with her. Unfortunately, thats just a fraction of the shady stuff they did to employees.My advice? Dont give this spa a dime of your money.EDIT: I quit this place over 2 years ago and just in the last month Ive had 2 people cancel their memberships at Hand and Stone and personally seek me out for massage. Apparently theyre charging members for unnecessary services. I also had a current (at the time) employee call me a few months ago asking for advice because the owner is STILL stealing money from his employees.Im sure Ill update this again next year after hes ripped off even more employees and customers.

Wonderful spa, I loved Ashley for my pre-natal massages (she has the hands of an angel) and I love Rian for my post-partum massages. Lisa is also a great massage therapist there! Their membership program is such a great deal, I love taking advantage of the members-only offers they have. Ive only had facials twice, but loved both visits and plan to do more.

Usually get a good massage here but the masseuse seemed distracted on my last visit and the deep tissue massage wasnt that deep.

Just trying to find out why it’s so hard to end my membership. How much money do you have to spend before they stop charging your credit card?!

If I could give this place NO STARS I would. Heres why... (1) THEY canceled an appointment within an hour notice. (2) TWICE I have driven to the location only to find my therapist LEFT and no one called to tell me. (3) The desk staff are not friendly and rarely acknowledge you when you come in. Not a spa like atmosphere AT ALL!

Couldnt even get past the front desk to schedule an appt because obviously the receptionist on 4/10/17 was too busy doing whatever to pay attention to the fact that I was advising her that I received a introductory offer thru email to come In for a massage. I had to repeat my info multiple times bc she was pre-occupied. And when I asked her could she book me for her 3 pm opening. She says I dont know and puts me on hold very poor customer service. I dont even want the coupon. I will not be treated less than by a place with only 3 locations. I will continue to spend my money with Massage envy. Very tacky and Im very dissatisfied.
