This was my first experience at this salon, which I found from Google reviews. Sophia did an excellent job on my Keratin treatment and cut. She had such a great personality that made me feel like I had been seeing her for years. She takes her time to be creative with her recommendations, so you get exactly what you’re looking for. I would definitely recommend her to anyone, but especially clients that feel they need a change but just don’t know what will work for them. Thanks for taking that time with me Sophia!

I came to Douglas Carroll for a color correction emergency, it was probably the worst color Ive ever seen and seemed impossible to fix. But no emergency is too big for this salon! I had the pleasure of working with Noah and Sophia. They are literal hair super heroes and not only fixed my situation, but went above and beyond. They were so patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Ill never go to another salon after my visit with them. Thank you for giving me the best experience and for your consistent patience over a problem that wasnt even caused by you. Cant wait to come back!

I started seeing Jillian last year and have not turned back! She takes her time with cut and color to make sure it’s exactly what you want and need. I have not always colored my hair, so she’s been very helpful and patient as I figure what I want over time. Although Jillian is super easy to have a conversation with, it’s never awkward if we just chill in silence as she does my hair - which is a small thing to mention but makes a big difference for those of us that aren’t great at small talk.Between an awesome stylist and all the great products offered, DCS provides a fun and professional experience each visit!

My first visit with Brandon was exceptional; he was able to quickly evaluate the previous color/technique used on my hair and suggested our approach over the next several visits to achieve my hair goals. He did a great job educating me along the way and my highlights came out incredible! I definitely will be a new repeat client and Id highly recommend their salon for any other blondes looking for a refresh in their color. Jacob was also very helpful throughout the service as well!Aside from the high quality service the salon was very friendly, I immediately felt like I was welcomed and belonged right off the bat - this is not easy in the high end salon world and it truly speaks to their service and friendliness!

Jordan has cut and styled my hair three times. I relocated to the area a few months ago and fortunately found this salon through a recommendation by my realtor. Jordan is extremely skilled at cutting my short hair layered bob. Hes a perfectionist and takes his time to do it right. Plus hes friendly and pleasant. Definitely a 5 star experience.

Megan did an awesome job with my hair! I just got a haircut but if I ever get color I will definitely go to her as well. I hadn’t found a salon to stick with since I moved back to Raleigh but I will definitely go again. My hair was so long and just one length because it hadn’t been cut in forever and she gave it such depth again. She was also so complimentary of my hair which made me feel really good. First appointment yesterday with Lindsey R Very professional, listened well, gave me what I asked for, explained how to maintain the style. Wish the front desk had told me ahead of time that I cant put the tip on my VISA. Although they have an ATM for getting cash, I dont carry my debit card with me. Front desk should probably ask if youre new when making an appointment; if so, then explain a few things like the ATM machine, the points program, make sure you know the range of services offered. I plan to return again for sure.

Douglas Davids world wide experience/training and Family Man caught my eye. After further reading, Jordan Davids Bio, really caught my attention: Protege of Douglas David. advocate of education, known for training with Toni & Guy in L.A, passionate about color theory, maniacally talented. The only thing holding me back was I had never had a male cut my hair before. What the heck. You only live once, right? So I decided to drive 2 hours to have Jordon David color, cut and style my hair. I can honestly say, I have never had a better hair cut/color than that day I met Jordan. In addition, his team: Sophia and Van, along with everyone working in the salon, goes out of their way to make you feel at home. I am not just Jordans client. I am everyones client. I moved to Raleigh almost 3 years ago and once I found her and the salon, I was immediately sold for life.My girlfriend and I exclusively trust Jill with our hair & always send everyone we know to go see her too. We appreciate her attention to detail and consistent results. She makes sure to check in throughout, even when we’re just sitting in foils, to make sure things are going well - and making adjustments when needed. It’s hard to find a stylist that detail-oriented anywhere else. Before you go, she will happily (and honestly) make recommendations about how to keep your hair healthy and looking good until your next visit. I can tell the stylists really do stand behind the products they sell, and use them themselves. After searching my new city for a stylist, I finally found my home. Loved everything about the service and attention to detail Jordan David abd his team gave me. I highly recommend them for any hair needs you might have. Very customer service oriented and highly trained in their field. That means the world to me in field.

I saw Jillian, a junior stylist. She asked great questions when I said I wanted a trim and to work toward growing my hair out and used her expertise to guide me into a more updated look that would grow out nicely. She recommended great products that would help with dryness and explained what she was doing and why every step of the way. I was curious about their training so she shared how stylists are educated at the salon, which was so cool to learn. I have finally found a stylist I trust with my coarse, wavy hair in Raleigh and am going back for my color in May.

Steve is amazing..its hard to find someone whos as skilled with short hair cuts. Hes Sassoon trained, has worked with models and stars and spent lots of time helping me figure out what I wanted before and during cut, highlights and styling...

I really enjoy going to Douglas Carol to get my hair done. I feel like the atmosphere is really fun and the staff is very nice and seems to support one another. (Which is very important to me)I have had my hair done by Megan twice and although she is newer to hair she is probably the best person I’ve gone to! She is so detailed and takes her time to make everything perfect. I don’t even tell her what I want, I just tell her to do whatever she thinks would look good and she’s wowed me every time! Usually when I would get my hair done at other salons the stylists would put my hair in foils/color, walk away for a while then wash my hair out. Megan is not like this, she is very hands on and is constantly tweaking or fixing something when it isn’t to her standards. She impressed me every time and I’m confident that everyone who works there is this way because she clearly learned from the best.I have even convinced my boyfriend to start going to Douglas carol for his hair cuts. Ever since he started going there he comes home and actually looks good! Not like the usual egg head hair cuts he use to get at other places.I recommend Douglas Carol to all my friends and swear by them. You are definitely getting what you pay for!!

I was nervous about coloring my hair... it had been a long time and I didn’t want to mess up the ‘good’ I had-but I also wanted AWESOME-and that’s exactly what I got from the team at Douglas Carroll. Noah and his squad worked as a well-oiled machine to make sure I got the exact right colors to give me the rich, natural looking dark brown I was hoping for. Don’t hesitate to trust them with your locks, too.

I would STRONGLY suggest booking Megan. I went in this past week with low expectations just because Ive been box dying my long, dark damaged hair for years. I had hopes of an ombre, ash dark blonde. I also went for a haircut. (I have very very fine hair but a good amount of it). Megan W. Exceeded all my expectations color, cut, professionalism, and an all around good experience. My hair had ZERO mistakes, I walked out with exactly what I wanted (with just ONE single process!!!). Even better than I had hoped for honestly. Do yourself a favor and book this girl. First Class salon! I was so thrilled with my first visit to Douglas Carrol. Brandon did my color and cut and he is fantastic. I told them over the phone that Id been coloring my own hair (pandemic problems) So he set aside a lot of time for color correction in case it was needed. The first thing I loved about Brandon is that he really listened to my goals he explained what he would do He explained how he needed to address subtle color changes color in different areas of my hair from scalp to ends to make it look natural. The color is stunning. Im a former blonde, who turned dirty blonde to dark, and now grey. Thats a lot. I suspect Brandon is great with many colors, but he is a pro with blondes, even when managing grey. When it came time for the cut, he similarly explained everything he was going to do in detail. It made so much sense, and no one had ever explained some of those things before. My hair looks and feels great. I will absolutely be a regular. In fact, my next visit will be a treatment to keep my hair smooth and prevent frizz in the humidity. Im from SoCal, so it was fun sharing stories about Brandons training and time in Los Angeles. I was so impressed by his commitment to getting the best education ever. Hes already in the best hair salon in Raleigh, but he and his brother both are so dedicated to education, that they went to school for hair in Los Angeles, and then worked at a very busy Beverly Hills Salon. He really is a pro and could absolutely be a rock star in Los Angeles. How lucky to have him in Raleigh! Besides being exceptionally talented, hes a very genuinely nice person. Hes fun and funny, and I really liked getting to know his assistant, Jacob too. They are a great team. The whole salon has very good energy and the stylists are very supportive of each other. Jacob is such a sweet guy too and he had such nice things to say about Brandon and his whole family. Most of the amazing salons in CA are full of people with Diva attitudes. I did not encounter any divas. I just had the pleasure of meeting very talented people who are also very kind and positive. High end salons in CA have colorists and stylists. It is unheard of to have one person doing the color and the cut. This was a bit of culture shock for me moving to the south. I really like the CA way better. It makes sense that a professional would have one area of expertise. Brandon says he enjoys color more, but he is a fantastic stylist too. The funny thing is a friend whose hair always looks amazing recommended Douglass Carrol. She said she sees the owners son. Well, there is more than one son! When I called her to rave about my experience with Brandon, we both had a good laugh when she said she sees Brandons brother Jordan. Im sure Jordan is great - Ive seen his work and its beautiful - but I am sticking with Brandon! Thank you to everyone at Douglas Carrol. I will be back very regularly. Oh, and they carry Shu Uemura hair products. So amazing, and an indication that they want the very best. Finally, this is hardly a discount salon, but I expected for the price to be even higher based on the time that was taken, and the level of professionalism. I highly recommend Douglas Carroll Salon, especially Brandon and Jacob!

This salon is a very chaotic, productive business. So crowded that my talented senior stylist had no station to go to and I received my cut at a chair pulled up to the color bar with no mirror and a stared at the wall for forty five minutes. I get the feeling they are making up lost revenue from last year at the expense of customer service this year.

When I moved to Raleigh, I started seeing Doug at the salon and he always did an amazing job. After Covid, I wanted to get my hair done and strayed. I went to the first salon that would take me...bad move. The color dried out my hair and my hair became very stringy and damaged. I was desperate and called Douglas Carol to make an appointment immediately. Doug was out of town but the receptionist suggested his son Brandon. OMG! What a lifesaver! He was able to correct the color and gave me an amazing haircut! My hair looks so healthy and back to normal! Thank you Brandon. I will never stray again.

Well I reAlly walked out the salon not satisfied an my stylist I feel new it but she was so worries about her other clients. My highlights didnt even come out the color that she showed me on her phn.Regardless she new the color an she didnt do wat I wanted. Her name is Megan I had never got high lights that they steady had to put more than one toner twice at shampoo seat. After I told her I want he r to style my hair she blow dryes it an thought she was finish. U had to also tell her well I thought u were going to style it with flat iron or curling iron. Then she says ok well I can do that. Y SHUD I have to tell her wat I wanted. I payed wat she told me the amount from get go. But highly recommend no 1to go see MEGAN there.i wanted a silver or grey hightlights an u no wat I got a blondish color which isnt fair by far so owners u need to have a meeting with ur clients. Im from Robeson county an if I new this I sure wudve waited to get back home. So again she need more training with the color wheel which I was a barber myself.

I have long grey hair and have gone to at least a hand full of salons trying to get someone to give me lots of layers. Seems easy enough but no one could do it. Crazy!! They all tried and failed but as soon as I walked in the first thing Steve said was you need lots of layers!! I hadn’t even told them what I wanted done. So thankful I went!! Love my layers finally!!
