As of writing this review, the physical office of ECFMG is closed. It says open on google maps but that is incorrect. The only way to communicate is via phone and email. Just putting the information out there in case anyone is planning on visiting.

A very frustrating experience having to deal with this organzation. Thoroughly incompetent and there are no alternative orgs to deal with foreign doctors’ paperwork so they hold an entire monopoly in this. Phone calls unanswered and hung up due to “technical issues” and “high number of participants”. Documents pending for ages. Redundant replies to emails, zero coordination between personnel. Looks like they have only around 10 personnel working here for thousands of doctors. I guess they know there’s very little chance of organized or legal pushback from foreign doctors, so maintain a staunchly laissez-faire attitude in their work. The medical field is already full of problems and this additional burden of incompetent beauraucracy is totally unnecessary. This is an unsustainable organization and I do not see it surviving into the near future without intensive reform.

I am very disappointed with their service. My career is on hold because of this organization; for more than a year, they are supposed to contact my faculty to verify the transcripts but I was the one who keeps bugging the dean to call them and email them and when the university did email them, they are not answering to me or to the university...they are not answering to phone calls; nor the emails...its been now more than 2 weeks and no answer...what to do?

I understand that in covid times it takes longer than usual but they are really very slow at application process and and not even responding the call!! Very disappointed with the service! Is this how the main center for foreign medical graduates works!?

This is an organization that is part of the medical licensure process for all medical school graduates from the US and Canada, and foreign trained doctors and medical students who want to practice medicine in the US and Canada.Its a remarkable licensing agency that is highly organized, structured, and with a constant focus and reinforcement of standardized business processes to provide a standardized experience for all examinees.Management and staff are positive, highly supportive, and provide working conditions to enjoy and succeed. Its a uniquely supportive work environment.

Had to deal with them online for an application to go to New Zealand to work. They make you pay ridiculous prices/fees, and are very slow at responding and getting things sent out.

I didnt like working here because there was too much unprofessionalism going on. Kiana Johnson and Frances Steins were the worst!! because they were very unfriendly. I hated every minute of working here. Im glad I left because I found something a lot better with more friendly people. I will not recommend anyone to work at ECFMG.

Awful experience, have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for them to take 10-15 business days to complete simple requests.
