Loved it. The view is absolutely beautiful. An artist from Brazil did portraits of people by painting with his mouth.

Keeping an open-air facility like this closed during the day is counter productive. People should be allowed to walk around the reservoir and enjoy a pleasant Winters day. Instead, you are greeted by locked gates. Who thinks this is a good idea?

Very disappointed. The Discovery Center itself was nice, but very small. Some nice views from the center, but I had higher expectations for the trail. The trail still has a fence and barbed wire separating you from the reservoir. Since you cant approach the reservoir, trees block any possible view of the water or seeing water fowl on the reservoir most of the time. The boardwalk over the water was closed. Only pro was that the staff member was very nice and they had a dove my young son could look at and pet.

Wow! This center is fantastic. The views of ducks and geese over the reservoir is so calming and beautiful. The visitor center has interactive displays for visitors to learn about the local birds, ducks and raptors. We look forward to visiting to climb the observation tower to see (hopefully) another American Bald Eagle!

Underwhelming. nice building and parking area leads to a disappointing unfinished trail that stops abruptly at the .66 mile mark. then you turn around and go back the way you came. most of the water and skyline views are obscured by fences, vegetation, and barbed wire. there are much better trails in this same area. this is not really a spot for serious hikers.

Its still in construction. Lake view was awesome. People were practising yoga in the center of lake, giving 5 for this alone.

A pleasant place to spend an afternoon. An unpaved trail wraps around a working reservoir that serves the city of Philadelphia. Its easy to forget that youre within a large city. The Audubon Society is hoping this becomes a waypoint for birds along the Atlantic flyway.

The Center is beautiful and the lake/bird preserve is stunning. I am from Philly and I didnt know this area was here. I thought this area was just a part of the water department. But I was wrong. They built in a rope climbing and obstacle course. They are building a rock climbing wall too. And you can see over 100 kinds of birds if you take your binoculars and follow the trail around the lake. This is all free. You should check it out.

Brilliant center. Looking forward to see how they are doing when they are up and running and more established. That said, they are doing great for their first few months.
