I got all the way to the top of the list for housing and was denied it SIMPLY BECAUSE THE DIRECTOR AT THE HOMES at ARCH ST , DIDNT CARE TO HEAR MY SITUATION.. All she heard me say was I have a child . Although my child does not live with me at all . We know the location was just for adults and that’s fine I AM A SINGLE ADULT. Still HOMELESS & My CHILD IS STILL NOT LIVING WITH ME ! THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE WITH THESE PEOPLE GIVING ME FALSE HOPE! AND IM STILL HOMELESS AND HAVE BEEN THREWOUT THIS PANDEMIC!!! I COULD HAVE BEEN HAD A PLACE TO GO !!!IN PHILADELPHIA THERE IS NO HOPE FOR SOME HOMELESS PEOPLE! The World NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND THIS! PHILADELPHIA IS THE MOST SHADIEST. I’m 29 and been homeless for over 10years.. THESE SYSTEMS WILL NOT HELP YOU !!!!!

In 2017, I was homeless, and I went to front street on a hot summer day, they had efficiencies for cheap for the homeless, while Im dirty, hot, and waiting 4 blocks away from the building to be seen, the line had people there not even homeless, wearing name brand clothes, jewelry, expensive phones, I never got a call, there were 300 rooms up for grabs, this is disgusting, because the ones who were not homeless, are probably the ones who got the rooms. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Screw us, right?

I was a homeless guy. I walked into Project Home looking for shelter. I was greater by a woman named Carmen, she was very good and seemed like she cared, unlike many other places. If your in need of help, I suggest you go to Protect Home, they will help.

Im new to Philadelphia and was referred to by a Detective to Project Home because I was scammed by a Renter in Philadelphia out if a security deposit and first months rent he never showed up with the keys and left my husband and I homeless in this new and foreign place. I called project home and before I could even explain any of my situation about the hardest period I could ever be experiencing in life a maam rushed me off the phone DRASTICALLY, UNSYMPATHETIC, Unapologetic, Just asked me harshly if I wanted to go to a shelter. Before i could even ask any information about what they offer generally. I dont even feel like I have options in my life today, Im so depressed and I dont even have family here in Philadelphia I just wanted to reach out for help in my situation I am disappointed in the way I was dealt with. I just needed someone to explain the options for outreach here.

My place of employment started out as a resident of JBJ Soul Homes for 5 yrs Ive grown much in fact leaps and bounds, yes I still go through the issues but now I have the tools to handle situations de-escalate if u will and I owe that part of growth with my supports that I still have even with me being a alumni now I work with these certain individuals. And the respect is and has always been there

They do false advertising. This place is supposed to help people with housing and personal goals but that is only if you can pay and only if you play by there rules. They also hinder you from leaving there program which is supposed to help you with life skills to go out on your own,but they fight you every step of the way. I would NOT recommend this agency to anyone. Project home is not a good place in my opinion. I am spending purely based on my personal experiences.

Just called the hotline to ask how they could assist a homeless woman who sleeps on the street every night on Pennsylvania Ave and the phone representative had such a nasty attitude. It was unbelievable. She answered the phone laughing as though she were in the middle of a conversation, and then, she acted as though I was bothering her by calling to inquire. She told me they would send someone out to the woman, but Im not too sure, based on her very poor attitude and inability to provide any more information about their policies and procedures. I will seek other organizations help because these people obviously dont take their work seriously and are not happy to help, at all. Very disappointed.

Just another beurocratic nightmare along with an historically corrupt city government. Project home workers are mediocre at best. All that money and vacant apartments. F uped. This is why homeless people prefer to live outside. They dont want to deal with the ghetto fabulous, trash working there.

Got a one star just for answering the phone Called hotline to get a better understanding of what kind of help they can offer to a young adult 18 years of age that was thrown into the street from foster parent after no longer reciving financial help from the system. The representatives wasn’t very helpful at all and could not really explain anything I asked gave one suggestion which I already had.But was trying to get different avenues in case that One wasn’t An option. She seemed very unaware of the program and other options to offer and must not under the emotional and mental distress of being homeless.this is not the way a hotline should react towards the homeless looking for assistance even if they cannot provide it.This is one of the reasons why they feel like a burden and raither find a way on the unsafe streets of Philadelphia. I left it there and kind said thank you but I don’t stop so I will be reaching out to the director of this program first thing. And I pray God give her a heart towards her job and helping people that’s truly in need hope no else experience this God bless.
