I have never had such a positive experience accessing and establishing care before. The operators were incredibly kind and helpful. I was connected with a therapist for an appointment two days later and a psychiatrist within the next three weeks. People are often dissuaded from pursuing mental health resources because of this first step of establishing care. LifeStance made it very easy.

I have been trying to reach them for Months; Ive left so many messages with medical records to get my information faxed to my Dr, and its unethical to leave people hanging like this. I am grateful for having an excellent therapist, but the administration has failed me terribly. I would like to see the circle of care tightened.

Easily the worst medical experience Ive ever had in my life. After waiting over a month for an appointment with a psychiatrist, Dr. Ajayi told me she would refuse to prescribe me any of my medications (a standard depressant and anti-anxiety medication which Ive been taking for 10 years). She then accused me of lying to her about my drug use when I said No after she asked if I used drugs like heroin or amphetamines, because I drink coffee a few days a week. She told me that I needed to submit a full set of forms and medical records, but that she didnt know where I should send them. During the month I was waiting for an appointment, Lifestance never once reached out asking for my medical records (which I had on-hand during the time of the appointment with Dr. Ajayi, and could have sent if shed been able to provide me a secure email or file drop). After Dr. Ajayi accused me of being drug-seeking and lying about my psychiatric need, she told me Id have to figure out where to send my medical records, and then schedule another appointment, despite having only a few days left of my antidepressant, and that there werent appointments available with any LifeStance psychiatrist for over a month. Dr. Ajayi showed no concern over the fact that Id be going through unsupervised antidepressant withdrawal and be without medication for several weeks. After this happened, I spoke with Stacey, a clinical supervisor at LifeStance. Stacey had me send her my medical records to her email (which seems distressingly like a patient privacy concern, but I was desperate) and then passed them to Dr. Ajayi, and said to reach out if Dr. Ajayi did not call me back.I never heard back from Stacey or Dr. Ajayi. I ended up scheduling an appointment out of network with a physician who was professional and understanding. I would suggest avoiding LifeStance at all costs, and particularly Dr. Ajayi - Im not sure what sort of cereal box she got her medical degree out of, but it clearly did not educate her in any way in bedside manner, professionalism, or compassion.

Run away from this outfit! Go to Springfield Psych instead. Therapists are good, but they over bill and wont answer calls. They are unethical, or worse. I suggest you avoid this company.

Major scam. They said the first session wasn’t going to cost anything. It did. And then they said they would call me the next week to schedule an appointment. They didn’t. Totally ghosted. Find literally anywhere else.

Extremely unethical practice. A lot of fees and extra charges that have continually gone up. There are extremely limited appointment times to see the psychologist, the one who prescribes/fills the scripts. If you dont manage to get an appointment before your medicine runs out, many of which medicines can have very serious possibly life threatening side effects if stopped abruptly, they charge a huge administrative fee to send the script to the pharmacy. For me, the fee to have them send the script to the pharmacy was almost 4x what the prescription actually cost at the pharmacy. That being said, my actual doctors have been very helpful and are very qualified, its just a shame the office and management are so difficult to deal with.

The billing practices at this location are unethical. They tell you there is no charge for an intake conversation that precedes treatment. You can ask them multiple times (as I did) to explain their billing before making the appointment for intake. I was told clearly that I would receive a phone call if there was to be a charge, but that the intake was more of a quick get to know you before deciding if we both wanted to move forward with treatment. I received no call, leading to my understanding that there was no charge for the initial check-in.AFTER the intake conversation (30 min) they ask you for a credit card number for future appointment billing. On the way out they tell you the quick, topical conversation you just had will cost you $130. Again, to be clear, I asked these questions multiple times when making appointment. They personally apologized and took responsibility for the lack of communication. I have heard sorry from them multiple times, but they are not willing to take responsibility for the charge. They also charged my credit card (given without consent to this charge) when they told me theyd mail me a bill.Truly unethical treatment for people seeking help; great introduction to the world of therapy. Look elsewhere.

My first experience was being told to call back in a week repeatedly for about three months. I was told afterwards that this is not typical, but everything else that has transpired tells me that is a lie.The therapist, or whatever he was, was 15 minutes late to my evaluation, and every call went to voicemail that told me the office is closed. I waited there for 15 minutes because I had hope, and he finally showed up without mentioning anything about the fact that there was an empty office with no one in it and he had done nothing to inform me of this. Guy seemed pretty condescending and disinterested in the entire evaluation, like I was holding him up. Regardless, after so long waiting, I felt like I had to go through with it.My first therapy session was okay, but it also seemed highly disinformed, as I was repeatedly asked things I had already answered in the evaluation and my therapist seemed to have no concept of the fact that I was seeking medication.Flash forward to my second session, which could not be set up any time after work hours (the exact times that I requested, and apparently they set me up with someone who would not be able to do so for a month), and my entire intention was to get a genetic test to set me in the right direction for meds.I had told him in the previous session a ton about myself, personal info, and that I had been on multiple medications. I showed up at 9 at night to him basically showing me that he had not listened to a damn thing I said, reviewed my case, or anything. In fact, he also didnt look into the testing whatsoever and told me that I had arrived for nothing, as I had to book a psychiatrist in order to do the testing. After calling about a psychiatrist, I was told that I cannot see one after work hours. When I explained how awful every bit of my experience has been, I was talked over and argued with over whether or not this was unreasonable. I have to take off work to see a doctor when I do it. is what the receptionist said to someone who is seeking help for their mental illness and was being informed that they needed to take at least four days off of work in order to see a psychiatrist. In the end, Ive decided that waiting another two months or so with another service is well worth it to get help from people who even remotely care about me and those that they treat. I have not gotten a single impression of care from these people. If you are mentally ill, I highly recommend going anywhere else.P.S. the funniest part was being told that there is after hours psychiatry. I guess they only tell people that as a last minute resort when they cancel all of their services!P.P.S. I would tell you all, as professionals, that you cannot imagine what its like to be going through serious mental health issues and recognize that the people who say theyre there to help are just there for your money, but youre just there for my money so you wouldnt care. At least fake it. Christ.

This place is the worst. After doing an intake Evaluation of $300 cash they refused to treat me. I had to borrow that money to get mental health treatment. They should get zero stars.
