It is one of the few places where you can get threading done at affordable prices (less than $20) in Philly. Its great value and the lady who does the eye brows always does a good job.However, the lady can come across as rude sometimes. She doesnt even reply back when you thank her -_-. A little kindness is a part of customer service and can help the business grow.

You have to be extremely detailed with what you want if you’re growing your brows out and want to continue growing them. I started coming in November and this is the third time I went to get my eyebrows threaded by Marlene. The first two times were fine— Marlene was made aware twice before that I had been growing my brows out for a long time and that they are getting thicker. This third time was horrible and I will likely never come back. When I came, I asked to have my eyebrows cleaned up and threaded. It seems like she was in a rush as she had another customer waiting for a wax.Marlene over thread my eyebrows and when she was almost done, had the nerve to say that my eyebrows are really thin— knowing that many of the stray hairs were there to continue to be grown out. When she showed me the finished product I was shocked. 3 years of eyebrow growth that I was growing out was absolutely gone. She then had the nerve to blame it on me and say that I should asked for threading only right above my eye. She threaded my eyebrows so significantly to the point that they’re only lines now after 3 years of me being careful with who I go to to grow them out. Additionally, the shapes on each eyebrow now do not match at all. I’m pretty disappointed that her first reaction was to blame it on me. Now I have to wait months, maybe even a year before my next eyebrow appointment so that I can grow them out sufficiently.My suggestion is to go somewhere where they will recognize/listen to your attempts to grow your brows and won’t remove all of the grown hairs for the sake of what they feel is the right shape.

On Monday, April 5th I attempted to schedule an appointment online but the link didn’t work. I tried calling to schedule an appointment but no one answered the phone. Per the hours listed at that time, they were supposed to be open until 7:30pm. I arrived around 5:30 to find a locked door. There were no hours listed on the door, so I had to find another place to get my desired services. Now Google shows the hours were updated 4 days ago.

This was my first time here and Marlene did a great job with eyebrows threading and waxing. She did just exactly what I wanted. Would definitely visit again.

I have been here a couple times before and the only complaint I had would be that during covid times, the lady threading eyebrows is not sanitizing the chairs after each person, however, I was here yesterday and had a horrible experience with my threading. She threaded my upper lip and caused my lip to bleed in three different spots. She kept saying it was fine and that it wasn’t a big deal, but it hurt a lot. Today I woke up and the areas are scabbed over. Terrible service. Will NOT be coming back here. Please stay away from this place.

Had an eyebrow threading here and walked out with this bleeding cut on my lower right eyebrow. It was very tiny cut but painful and I’ve never experienced such a problem with other threading shops.Besides they left me with much thinner eyebrows (I have full natural eyebrows that I don’t even have to do makeup on them). I expressed how I didn’t like the fact she made it so thin and the lady blamed me that I was the one who did too much tweezing at home. The tweezing may make the eyebrows uneven, not thinning them.She didn’t even care to clean the eyebrow hair on my face afterwards. I was given a dry rough tissue to do it myself where the skin area was very sensitive and in pain.If you don’t want to leave with a thin set of eyebrows, bleeding cuts and frustration, go to somewhere else!

They did brow threading for me and I absolutely loved it. I was always afraid of threading but they were fast and amazing. I couldnt be happier. I wish I have found this place earlier.

I went here for the first time to get my eyebrows threaded and was very happy. Its owned by the same people who own Zara Brow Bar, and the woman who saw me did a great job. I asked for a clean up and to leave my brows thick, and I was pleased with the shape.

TRULY THE BEST EYE BROW PLACE IN ALL OF UNIVERSITY CITY! I love the customer service and the quality work that they do! There is also a discount for college students so I only pay $8 for a great eyebrow threading which is incredible. Most importantly, I love Maraleen and her work. I would argue she is the best staff member at the place! Maraleen is the only person who has been able to shape my eyebrows *exactly* how I want them to be and makes all the efforts to make them perfect. I love her service and therefore go to her always for my eyebrow threading needs. Very good eyebrow threading service👌. Ive gotten my upper lip and eyebrows threaded twice by Dimpy, and both times she did a great job with the shape. I have dense eyebrows and hence have specific needs, but she can handle it. Remember to CARRY CASH TO ACAIL THE OFFER. They give you scratch card sort if so your 9th service is free!! Great first time experience and Maraleen was awesome!! I went on a Monday afternoon and was immediately serviced by Maraleen. She was nice and courteous. I stopped waxing a few months ago because my brow shape was mismatched. My coworker recommended this place and her brows always look perfect. My finished result was perfection. I went here to get my eyebrow and upper lip waxed. My upper lip was done fast and well, but my one eyebrow got messed up. When the lady waxing my eyebrow messed it up, she blamed it on the fact that I get my eyebrows waxed instead of getting it threaded. She said she didn’t do it, but my eyebrow was never like that beforehand. I didn’t realize til afterwards how bad and uneven it is. I now have a bare spot on the bottom of my eyebrow.
