I can see why the negative reviews. Looking for a new PCP, the options are VERY little and this one rejected. How are you a doctor rejecting patients? How arrogant.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sturtz for several years. (1) Very hard to get a hold of them over the phone. Nearly impossible ! And (2) Their commitment to resolving patient issues in a timely fashion is below standards. Would not recommend this office

I have been a patient of Dr Sturtz for almost 30 years. The office staff used to be a positive reflection of the fine care you received. Unfortunately the current staff is rude and bossy. After all this time I find Ill need to begin the process of finding a new primary care doctor. Its a shame the rude staff has ruined a once good family practice. Good luck Dr Sturtz with keeping your loyal patients.

He said he refuses to renew another prescr that os an ssri. From the comments on this review im glad he is not my doctor. If staff are unhappy maybe because he needs to better manage his office. Trying to find a new PCP. I called to schedule an appointment because Of some symptoms I had over the weekend. I was placed on hold for a while, then the receptionist got back on the phone and told me that the doctor said to check with cardiology first! I was so surprised by this response. As a PCP shouldn’t you check your patient first, then make recommendations?? There is usually a waiting period to get a cardiologist appointment, and I think as a MD you should want to see the patient, run your test first, then refer to someone else if needed. This please is a joke!!! I mentioned this to my NP at work and she could not believe they did not give me an appointment to come in.

Hi,This is my first report and reason being that this particular staff’s (TINA) attitude has gotten worse and out of hand. She’s extremely extremely rude and very unprofessional. Her choice of words are very horrible. Her disrespect and disregard to patients is very worrisome.I’ve been seeing doctor Sturtz with my kids since 2006, way long before she started working there and she’s gotten worse. I might have to withdraw stop using this doctors office because of her. It’s sad that she keeps doing this and no one corrects her in the office.I will personally report this to the highest authority if nothing is done about this because I really do feel bad for myself and other patients as well. I’m a healthcare worker myself and this attitude is very unacceptable. How could you tell a patient “talk louder “. .. I can’t hear you.. and also tell a patient in a very loud tone “ we don’t flip flop doctors here” ... I do understand she does have very limited vocabulary but That’s awful.I will be very grateful to hear back from you sooner. Thanks in advance.SincerelySent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone

Hes been my familys doctor since I was an infant and now I am in my 30s. He is the best doctor you will find. He has had his ups and downs with staff throughout the years and different offices, but he gives the girls a chance which is awesome because if they are bad they wont be there long and if they are good they will only get better working with him.

Sturtz is a great doctor. Ive been seeing him since Ive been a baby and Im now turning 27. BUT the way this new office is ran by staff is piss poor. Always on time for appointments and currently sitting here waiting over an hour to be seen. Everyone in waiting room who came after me has even already been seen and left already.

If I could give zero stars I would!! I have not once had an issue with this doctor’s office until Dr. Naeemah Alston came on board. This is the second time I have had an issue. The first..refusing to refill a Nexium prescription I’ve been on for years without making an appointment first, of which Dr. Sturtz overruled & I was able to get, thankfully. The second & major issue...Dr. Alston literally just kicked me out of the office without even treating me. Paid my copay & all. The issue she had with me was I wanted to address 3 things while I was there & she said that she would only address the one issue that I had called about & that I would need to make other appointments to discuss the other two things which by the way are ongoing & in my chart. She said she had to squeeze me into her busy schedule..as if she was doing me a favor. Isn’t that your job as a doctor...to see patients!!! By the way, she wasn’t so busy when I walked in ...chit-chatting with the staff up front, eyeing me down & only one other patient waiting in the waiting room. You weren’t busy!! She told me she would not argue with patients & told me to leave numerous times. I was literally in her presence for 3 minutes. Told her I will be changing doctors in the future due to her refusal to treat all my symptoms. No arguing going on what so ever, she just had an attitude from the start (most likely from the Nexium issue). She thinks she walks on water because she a doctor. Chasing Dr. Sturtz patients away, is what she’s doing. She wouldn’t even give me the results of my test. A shame since my family has been going to Dr.Sturtz for years. Dr. Alston is a disgrace to the medical profession & to that practice!! You made a big mistake bringing her on board Dr. Sturtz. The previous doctor was great, you’re great. It’s a shame how in one 3 minute interaction, Dr. Alston has ruined your name & your practice. My family will be going elsewhere. And from other reviews I’ve seen on Dr. Alston, others are leaving as well. Having one star attached to your name Dr. Alston isn’t good but like I said to you...”you don’t care!”. Oh, & thanks for sending in the antibiotic prescription even though I have no idea if my test came back positive or not, since you refused to tell me the results. Is that even legal, ethical?!?! Real professional..let’s hope I’m fine & there is no lawsuit in your future!

Dr. Sturtz is unlike any other doctor Ive ever come across me and my children see him he seems genuinely concerned with your health and you can tell he loves his job he takes time to listen to your questions and concerns and is a very happy and passionate about his work on certain days Ive only waited 15 minutes or so but on busier days you can wait up to an hour but he is awesome and worth the wait in my opinion

This is the worst doctor office we ever seen, very bad customer service very rude and unprofessional, my mom had an appointment at 11 am , she had to wait until 12:30 some other people came after her and went inside while she is setting.Whem we try to ask about anything they act rude and never gove an answer, also the doctor naeemah is unhelpful and so unprofessional, she was telling my mom that she was in a vocation and if my mom doesnt want to wait she can reschedule, I guess thats we had an appointment from the first place. Also she wrote on the computer that she gave me mom some pressure that never happened untill my mom said something and she was like oh i forgot to give to you.Take your patience somewhere else we are getting away from this office they dont deserve our business.Stay away ......

The staff here constantly makes mistakes and the new doctor Dr. Naeemah Alston is very unhelpful and unprofessional. I always have trouble getting ahold of someone and the phone just rings and then goes into a voice recording saying how there is no voicemail so I can’t even leave a message. When I even do eventually get through they never fail to mess up what I am asking them to do. I give them the exact name of the prescription I need to refill but the next day I go to the pharmacy and it is under a different brand that my insurance doesn’t cover and I have to call back again to tell them to correct it. Also when asking them to send over a referral to my endocrinologist they processed it through the wrong insurance so when I went to my endo appointment I could not be scene due to this practices errors. I am making the switch to a new practice who hopefully has it together unlike this place. I can’t afford to stay at a place that is unprofessional and makes so many mistakes being that I am a type 1 diabetic and relay on life saving medication everyday.

Dr. Sturtz do yourself a favor and clean house and get a new office because you’re gonna lose a lot of patience .

Dr. Sturtz is a great doctor! However, his receptionist’s are horrible, rude and so unprofessional. If it wasn’t for Dr. Sturtz being a great doctor than I probably won’t go here solely because of their receptionist staff. I was left on hold for 15 minutes and they picked the phone up laughing as if they were playing around when I desperately need to see the doctor. Horrible! He should clean house with his receptionist’s.

I dont usually rate places but this place was so unsettling today I had to.The New Dr (Alston) who replaced my dr is horrible. Terrible bedside manner. Wouldnt correct her aide (Tina, who always has an attitude, rude and abrupt without care or compassion even prior to this physician) for her unprofessional comment re:how tired of all this she is.When I brought the statement to the drs attention and that I had heard it and told her it was inappropriate and unprofessional and the aid should be spoken to, she told me she doesnt take orders she gives them! She proceeded to tell me to stop my attitude or find a new Dr. I told her my attitude started when I heard the comment and nothing was being done about it except to take it out on me because I overheard it. She once again told me in no uncertain terms that it basically was acceptable behavior and I had no right to be upset. No apology for what was said or overhearing it. This Dr is obviously new and wet behind the ears and has much humbling ahead of her. She needs lessons on bedside manner and how to speak to her patients. Then when it came time for her to renew my meds the Dr came in the room took my pill bottles and left the room and returned to tell me to check out at the front desk couldnt even hand me my pill bottles she threw them in the chair where my coat was.I wouldve expected more at a free clinic. Do yourself a favor and see Dr Sturtz if you want good quality of care and professionalism. Im a nurse this is all unacceptable and they remain unapologetic at check out so I gave a honest review.

I first went to see *Stephen A. Sturtz In May of 2018, the appointment was to get acquainted due to my Doctor of a number of years retiring. So, 3 months later I see him again, today August 8th, I see the nurse before hand, a very nice lady with care and concern, then this creep *Dr. Stephen A. Sturtz comes in and starts with, you have so many health problems, and your on so many medications that I cant really do much for you. Im like, what are you a Doctor or a little girl, I used cuss words to describe him though.I said listen Im going to do me a favour, and find a Doctor thats not a such a B!+*h, I walked out, and with never see him again, on purpose. Do yourself a favor, and find a younger Doctor that hasnt given up on the Hippocratic Oath they take. Such a loser...

As a patient and medical assistant who knows how hard or ez the job can be sad to say im dissatisfied. the 1st thing that bothered me was the nurse not wearing gloves when giving me an injection. i was shocked and speechless but when i reacted i told the doctor she should wear gloves.. he said oh shes fine .... (my thoughts what?!) anyways... i called for an rx of generic benadryl and she said i have to come in.. why cant this office be reasonable and call it in its not a big deal med. why waste my time and the doctors time insurance money.. hes not a specialist he doesnt help me with anything ive ask him about other then just gives me an rx to a specialist . so why make me come in for an office visit to see me instead of giving me the rx i asked for.. i can never rely on this office when i need it NEVER. and the doc cut the visit so short after asking the required questions for his chart after i said i had back pain and numbness in my toes he put on my chart back pain without sciatica .. smh completely wrong. and ordered xray instead of an EMG. i got my xray done and tech said i need an emg better .. like i asked for over b4 but noo they made me see the doctor and get wrong test smdh hea offered to give me pain meds before suggesting physical therapy and when i suggested it he said yeah good idea.. (but gave no referral) and walked out to finish his chart. smh what a waste of time for me. always with this office i feel like they wont help me.. they just want me to come in and when ive gone i get no results to what i am in for. i feel helpless as a patient here and need to switch to a more caring listening and knowledgeable office. sorry for the rant but its been a few yrs dealing with this unhelpful office and mean staff ladies.
