Dr. Volpe and Dr. McNaughton are the best GP’s around. Super caring, knowledgeable, and both have great bed side manner. The women who run the front desk, especially Trish, are lovely and make sure the paperwork is always processed. Having a place in the neighborhood with such caring people, makes care that much easier.

The doctors are fine the Receptionists are rude and don’t return phone calls.

I recently decided to find a new PCP as I have moved to a new area. I went on Zocdoc to find someone with good reviews. I made an appointment which was later confirmed a day later. At 9:30 am on the date of appointment after making accommodations to meet him in his office, they sent me an email that the office cancelled the appointment with no further information. I then attempted to call the office to acquire information why my appointment was cancelled. Of course no one picked up the phone.Thankfully after doing continued research it turns out this office is known for fraud charges and poor staffing.To sum it up: Dr Volpe is disconnected from his staff and business and I would recommend anyone looking to be part of his practice to find another Doctor.

They need to hire new staff because they never answer the phone like wth are you woman doing do your job. Please fire them they are so unprofessional they have an attitude about everything if you don’t like your job don’t work there. You have to walk in there just to talk to someone because you’ll never get answer. Save yourselves the hassle and change doctors.

THE WORST DR. OFFICE IVE EVER BEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!-The staff at the front desk is very rude and unprofessional.-They NEVER answer the phone!-They forgot to send a referral to the Jefferson Health for my x-ray, prescribed by the doctor, so I had to wait forever in the radiology department to get them to answer their phone and send the referral they forgot to send the day before. Never received apologies but only attitude.-Once I got my x-ray done, they forgot to notify me about the results for weeks, until I called (several times with no success as they NEVER answered their phones!) and asked for them.-I had both blood work and x-ray done and Dr. McNaughton (Dr. Volpes assistant I guess) told me everything came out ok.BUT, I found out by myself that the radiologist had failed to diagnose the SEVERELY fractured and dislocated coccyx I had, as the images back from radiology showed a VERY EVIDENT BROKEN AND DISLOCATED TAIL BONE! Dr. Volpes office didnt even look at the x-ray images so they also failed to communicate to me the severe problem I had and instead said everything looks good!-The only thing they do good and in good timely manner is presenting you the bill! Stay away from this office, it only gave me trouble, frustration and headache!

First time I went, I thought the receptionist was pretty rude and unprofessional. The tiny 10 x 15 waiting room was packed. I could barely keep my knees from touching the patient to my right who sat sneezing under the blasting TV. However, meeting with the doctor was pretty good, and I felt his care was adequate. He ordered some tests and an EKG, and I asked if my insurance would cover it and they said yes. They quickly entered a referral for me and I was on my way.I got my EKG done, and never heard back about the results except to get a bill for $110. I guess it wasnt covered after all.Now I need to have an emergency ultrasound. I was able to get an appointment at Methodist, and I called the office on a Tuesday afternoon to get a referral. I was met with a rude response and told that they needed two days to send over a referral (even though I watched a woman do one in 5 minutes). I told the woman on the phone that it was an emergency procedure, and she reluctantly said she would do it, and repeated how she needs two days to do this task, and next time I had better give her more time (as if I had been sitting on this appointment for weeks or something).I walked down to the hospital today in the sleet and snow only to find they never got the referral. She didnt bother to do it. I guess 4 hours wasnt enough time?You have been warned.

Dr Volpe and Staff are a total Joke. They never answer there phone and very unprofessional if you have a appointment and come on time you will wait for a hour ,Since he sees lots of patients in one day. AND HE HAS NO OUTSIDE HELP JUST HIM .Also if you do not show up to a appointment they charge you if you dont cancel

Really nice, straight forward, no-nonsense guy. Hes the kind of doctor Ive been looking for; you wont be shipped off to assistants, and hes a family practice, not a clinic. Hes great if your coverage covers him.

I’m not sure why Dr. Volpe doesn’t have 5 stars. He goes over the top and takes the time and care that you would expect from your doctor (but rarely get in the city). I’ve been to many around the city and have been very disappointed... until I found Dr. Volpe. Yes the waiting room isn’t the biggest and you may need to wait a bit for your appointment but that’s because unlike other doctor offices, they don’t rush you in and out the door. The receptionists are phenomenal and the previous reviews complaining about the old receptionist is no longer there. I would highly recommend Dr. Volpe to anyone!

Although Dr. Volpe was a great and thorough Doctor, he will be losing the business of my entire family due to his irresponsible staff. My fiance paid in full, in cash, on his day of service one year and a half ago. For some reason, a fraudulent charge was presented by Dr Volpes staff to A1 Collection Services in Trenton, NJ. This fraudulent charge was subsequently put on his credit report with all three bureaus. Which is illegal. After a year and a half of phone calls and promises, absolutely nothing has been done by Dr Volpes staff to rectify the issue. This is a highly unprofessional practice unfortunately. I wouldve recommended him as a doctor if not for this unacceptable mistake on their end and refusal to rectify it. Would definitely not recommend putting your name in their files, this could happen to anyone. We did everything right and followed proper protocol throughout the entire process to no avail. We are being harassed by the collection agency for a charge that is not valid and his credit has been effected. Again, Dr. Volpes staff has admitted to me several times that the charge is fraudulent and was a mistake promises they will do something about it and then does nothing.

Dr.James vople is one of the best doctors in philly....my parents been going to him for years...and they love him...now I pick him for my doctor...very caring and friendly. ..very awesome person. ...if u looking for a doctor. ...check him out....thank u for taking care of my family...God bless

Recently booked an appointment with Dr. Volpe through ZocDoc. After receiving an email confirming my appointment, I hadnt heard from the office so I decided to call to make sure.As soon as the call went through the receptionist said hold on, After waiting on hold for 15 minutes she asks What do you need?. I told her why I was calling and she told me that they blocked all requests from ZocDoc, which was a lie considering the appointment was confirmed.I cant vouch for Dr. Volpes services but the receptionist was rude and had no sense of customer service. Physicians are a dime a dozen, its the customer service that keeps patients coming back. Will be looking for alternative physicians.

I would not suggest using Dr Volpe if you have a serious health condition. Hes more of a general orthepedic doctor. After you explain your condition to him . He will order test for you from a outpatient facility. Based on results that come back from the test he will read the results to you. The results may come back good or bad. But either way it does not mean there is nothing still seriously wrong with you. If your looking for a general doctor make sure the specialty is internal medicine. These doctors are abe to find the core of your problem. As I stated before Dr Volpe is a Orthopedic General.Dr. so if you have bone problems hes your guy. So women if you have female problems would not go to him.

Super nice and a family orainted individual from my first experaince in my opinion. In todays Intagrated system its hard at times for doctors to make you feel more then a number, Doctor Volpe did😏❤
