So far so good! As I have worked in medicine for over 30 years, I find it extremely important as to how you are treated by the patient coordinators and office staff. So far so good at Ninth Street Medicine. Kind, courteous, and efficient during my initial and second call. I look forward to meeting with the medical staff:)

I have been going here for years. I dont go that often but when i do they take care of me. They have an online portal that is a blessing for people like me with insurance that need referrals. You can log into your account and request one on the portal. they have been nothing but expedient with my referrals and i am very thankful for their rapid referrals.!!!! The doctors are competent and kind. i

Ive attended this practice for 6 years. The doctors are phenomenal here. The front office staff are hit or miss, some are just mean to you for no reason.

Great doctors office with evening appointments. This is very convenient if your unable to take a morning appointment due to work. The staff is very friendly and whats great is the patient portal! The app is free to download or you can go online. The patient portal allows you to email your doctor and request prescription refills without having to call in. The doctors/staff are usually quick in responding to your emails. You can also view your lab results from the portal.

DR .Smith Should have never retired. I was told I couldnt have a prescription refill because I missed a 6 week return. Well they dont really listen or know their patients. I travel a lot so I am not always in Pennsylvania and I need to come in to get my pressure checked. How ridiculous. I am on a water pill not really a pressure med. I get my pressure checked regularly and not a fool to play around with that. Dr. Smith always had me return in a year and its never been a problem with that because he knows I fly a lot. This Dr. didnt even want to call in something for a kidney infection. Why have no regards for patients who know themselves and has a great relationship with one of their best doctors. 6 years and now they have Dr. Major. I am not wasting my time going to a doctor unless its really needed. Its another expense for parking or using uber. He cared nothing about my appointment at the Perelman Ctr. tomorrow. If he was so concerned then they should have called to give me a appointment or better yet actually give me a real pressure pill. He stated I really didnt have a need to be on anything else because my pressure is good. So why now I need my prescription for my next flight and my test tomorrow , I have to come in to have my pressure checked. Ridiculous! Dr. Smith always told me I am my best advocate for knowing my body. He is right and my pressure is great. My doctor retired so I will no longer need Dr. Major and his services. I will look elsewhere. I am use to yearly check ups. I will find better services . And ON TOP OF THAT the doctor does not return phone calls or do not listen when I told him I fly a lot . My neurologist has been taking care of me with flying as well as monitoring my blood pressure. They never bothered to ask . I will get my prescriptions elsewhere. This is what happens when your faced with new doctors . B.S. I wish Dr. Smith didnt have to retire. I can see if I missed a yearly check up but he said it himself, your pressure is great there is no need for the others medications for blood pressure. Dr Smith would have filled my prescription once and after that , I had better come in. I am not a new patient to this practice. So because they handle things different they can lose my file. I am never coming back.

Always extremely nice and considerate. I have never had to wait long to be seen. Dr. Kinsella is so thorough and she has followed up quickly on any questions or concerns I have. I am so happy I finally found a good primary care office!

ALWAYS ON HOLD. You spend 30+ minutes on hold to make an appointment that is 3-6 months away and then if you have to make a change to your appointment, you wait another 30+ minutes to talk to someone. I really like my doctor but cannot stand the way the office runs and will be leaving because of it. The doctor is stressful enough, the office should try to make it easier not more stressful.

I had an appointment to just receive a vaccination, that is it. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment and waited 20 minutes until I asked the front desk receptionist the cause for the delay. The front desk receptionist called the nurse and the nurse told her she was on her way to take me...waited another 10 minutes and at that point I decided to leave because I had to get back to work. Granted, apparently they were trying to work with my insurance company on why they werent covering my vaccination, but I wasnt told this until 30 minutes of waiting. In the end, I wasted my time and money on a taxi. Also, the staff at the front desk were gossiping about 2 patients that were seen just before me. In short, dont come to this office unless unprofessionalism appeals to you.Disclosure: I do think Dr. Oppenheim is great but the staff at this office needs work.

I have been happy with the physicians but skip the nutritionist, Sarah. Ignorant, uneducated and wildly unprofessional.

After using this office for 7 years, I stopped seeing these doctors after two appointments were mis-scheduled. Both times I took time off from work for the appointments only to find that the appointments did not exist on their schedules. Both times I was offered another time and offered no apology. Instead I got attitude from the front desk. Most recently not only was I not given an apology but I was told I had to understand their situation - they are understaffed. As an experiment I decided to see how many times I would have to directly say I thought I deserved an apology before I got one. After arguing with me three times, I finally got an apology. Really? Im seeing another doctor now.

I always have a positive experience at the NSIM office. The staff are very helpful and seem to care about what is best for me and willing to explain want the issues are when I am not feeling well. It is tremendous sense of relief to have a primary office and Doctor I can rely on. JT Dutton

UPDATE: Dr V is the man! The clinical staff is always accommodating and when needing to call to make/cancel appointments, I dont spend any time getting through. NSIM has made major improvements and I would not go anywhere else for my care. Thank you NSIM for always making me feel special-- :-)I miss Dr Barmach :(... had him for many years. The staff otherwise is great. I clearly understand that with (computer, system, automated) changes come bumps and bruises. Their new methods in terms of making appointments, etc. could definitely use some tweaking-- often times it is difficult to get through -- to cancel an appointment for example. And you really dont know that the appointment has actually been cancelled until you get a bill-- indicating you owe for a missed appointment.Other than their computer systems-- the staff and doctors are wonderful. I have a new PCP-- so we shall see.

Based on a recommendation from a friend/co-worker, I called to make an appointment to become a new patient. The nearest appointment was about a month away, so I scheduled it, though reluctant. I called back after about a week to see if any appointments became available earlier, if I could have some lab work done before my appointment, or if I could be seen for some urgent but non-emergency issues. I was told that there are more appointment options for current patients, but that there is nothing else they can do since I had not had my initial appointment, and to go to an emergency room if I needed to. I ended up cancelling my appointment and going to another doctors office.
