I have two cats Ive been taking to Liberty Vet Clinic for five years now, and one of my cats has some very unusual health conditions and is also very combative when handled against his will. In all of my experiences with Liberty Vet Clinic, everything has always been handled perfectly! Technicians and other staff are extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Veterinarians Dr. Patten and Dr. Perrone are both excellent doctors, and both are always very thorough and careful to ensure that all concerns are addressed, all questions answered, and full explanations of all procedures, diagnoses, test results, and treatments are provided.Pets are always handled very carefully, compassionately, and skillfully, even when a pet is especially agitated, defiant, or aggressive.I think its great that the clinic has dedicated sections of exam rooms for cats vs. dogs on opposite sides of the facility, and whenever possible, they try to avoid having dogs and cats in the waiting room area at the same time, in order to reduce the amount of stress and fear on the part of the animals.I am very pleased that as of October 2021, Liberty Vet Clinic continues to follow a safe and cautious protocol for preventing the spread of Covid-19. All clinic employees are fully vaccinated and wear face masks. Pet owners are not permitted to enter the clinic; technicians come outside to take each pet into the clinic for examinations while owners remain outside in their vehicles. Both a technician/nurse and the doctor conduct thorough consultations with the pet owner over the phone while the pet is being treated inside the clinic. Everything is done very safely for everyone involved.

We absolutely love this vet clinic! My 5-month old puppy is my first dog on my own and they have been so patient, caring and understanding as I navigate being a new dog mom. They always sit on the phone with me and go over all my questions and are always so professional and timely. We cant recommend this clinic enough. They are absolutely wonderful!

I called them this morning asking my cat to be seen for a emergency visit. Not only they were able to squeeze me in, but they gave quick, thorough and compassionate service to my cat as well as myself. They walked through with me the next steps in treatment and mediation as well as upfront with the cost with no run around. Amazing staff that goes above and beyond their patients and truly care to make sure your pet gets the best treatment they need. I was surprised with how affordable they were too for a last minute appointment. I will make sure to bring my cats here again.

Have received rapid and complete care for both my dog and cat. Staff is caring and knowledgeable. Vet care is comprehensive. Covid precautions have been thorough also. Followup has been timely.

Ive been a dedicated Caring For Cats client for years until they just got flooded out by hurricane Ida. My 15 year old cat requires prescription food and fluids for her kidney issue, so it was imperative that I find another vet for her in short order. Liberty is close by, well rated, and was willing to take me on. They are knowledgeable, efficient, and nice, and are willing to serve us for as long as we need and/or like. They are outstanding in every respect!

I love liberty vet! When we got our cat over a year ago we spent a lot of time researching and liberty was on the top of our list - they did not disappoint.All staff is very friendly and responsive. We also love that they send great email updates and reports from our cat’s visit and any test results.They also have great hours and it usually isn’t too challenging to find an appointment slot.Definitely recommend!

They have helped my older gal with referals to cardiology specialists as well and have made sharing records between specialists easy and painless. We are new to the area and my dog has been having diarrhea x several days. I called 7 different animal hospitals and nobody could fit us in. When I called this one, the girl on the phone asked what was going on with my pet, put me on hold and they squeezed me into a last minute appointment, despite being fully booked. We haven’t gone to our appointment yet but just that level of care and reliability alone has me really impressed and thankful.

I was able to get an appointment quickly for our new puppy wellness check. The staff was very friendly and helpful and Dr. Patten was so patient to listen to all my new puppy questions and answer very thoroughly. Excited to be a part of this Clinic for a long time.

Best vet practice Ive been to in the Philadelphia area - and Ive tried several. They always show concern for the issues my pets are having when I call, give helpful advice, and get us in as quickly as possible. Other vets just say sorry, were booked and suggest emergency vet.

The team at Liberty Vet Clinic have been nothing but helpful and super sweet! They’ve taken such good care of our pup, and we couldn’t have asked for a better set of hands. The only thing is that we want to be able to go in with our pet, but that is going to be available anyway!

My husband and I was referred here by some very nice people and when I called to schedule our first visit boy were they soooo nice UNTIL the day of the appointment! My husband showed up ON TIME and while I was on the phone with him, proceeded to go in and was immediately talked to VERY nasty and unprofessional as if they were SHOCKED to see his Black Face, Yes I said it! He was told to leave and go to his car and someone will come out, the lady kept talking in such a ugly tone that floored me and then we find out it was curbside service, WHICH should have been mentioned during the appointment process! He was told the dog can come in but he cant, NOT going to happen, the last time that happen our dog died in someone elses hands! So I quickly found a new vet online and booked my baby for her first round of shots and Im sure they will be glad to take our GREEN money. Will NEVER call them again! OR Refer them to ANYONE!

Awful place. Stray cat hit by car, they wouldnt even look at it without a TON of money down. They only care about money. I will definitely NEVER bring any of my animals here

Amazing place. Called about my cat not eating when I couldn’t get an appointment quick enough at our regular vet and Liberty fit me in the very next day!!!! They were so sweet to my very scared cat at handoff and made us both feel at ease since I wasn’t allowed back due to covid. They called within 15 minutes with a very detailed report and gave me multiple options of what to do and left it entirely up to me which I loved. Paid about $90 total for the visit, two different medications, and a sedative for the next vet trip. Everyone was so sweet and I will 100% be returning!!

We are long time dog parents, and we recently got a new puppy and were unable to reliably get appointments at our old vet, so we came here on a recommendation. It has been a great experience. The nurses and doctor are great, and the text / email automation is really nice. Highly recommended.

The people at this clinic are great. We just got our puppy and we were able to get an appointment within less than a week of getting him. I thought he was going to be nervous going in by himself without us (due to covid), but we saw the receptionist playing with him and making him feel comfortable through the window and we felt relieved. About 4 weeks ago my dear 11 year old cat (nora) fell ill. at the time I didnt have a vet as our dear dr. had left his practice. liberty vet came highly recommended from my cousin (who has also been in the vet field) so I knew it would be the place to go. I called and they fit me in that day. the staff was so kind and professional; I sincerely appreciated their warmth. we ended up going 3 more times in those weeks (fitting me in immediately as they saw fit) and ultimately we made the tough decision to put our girl down. they let my son and I have all the time we needed, during the end of the day and a quiet office. our nora was well taken care of, we knew this. the doctor was just what we needed at that time too; her empathy brought us so much peace. we now will be going to liberty from here on out. super grateful that it is so close to my home too...as my cats never loved car rides. they are wonderful here and my experience was devastating. I can only imagine how great my experience will be with my healthy cats. thanks for all you do!

Recently moved to the area and I am so thankful to have found this place! I will be boarding my dog and thought that his bordatella had expired because my old vet administered it every 6 months so it showed as “over due” on his records. Well, when I brought him in to Liberty with his records, Beth at the front noticed that it truly doesn’t expire until July since it is technically good for one year! She happily called the boarding place to make sure they recognized a one year expiration period and then proceeded to fax over his records for me! Saving time and money. I have never had a vet that wasn’t all about the money. The place was clean and very convenient as well. So thankful and I will definitely be bringing my dogs here from now on! Thanks again Beth!

I have been taking my cats to Liberty Vet for a few years and I really appreciate the care that they provide. Dr. Patton and the other vet (Im sorry I cant remember her name) always take time to explain everything and provide possible options. The clinic is always very clean. I wouldnt trust my fur babies with anyone else.

Recently got a new puppy and the vets a Liberty Vet clinic have been awesome. After getting neutered our pup was crying in the cage. Since no one was in Lobby they let him walk a round the open space. They were able to give him some treats and take him on a walk while we were at work. The staff has been nothing but friendly!

I find Dr Patten and her staff to be knowledgeable, attentive, and very professional. Also the place is exquisitely clean. I dont care about cute waiting rooms, etc (although their waiting room is quite nice)---I care about the work with my cat. And Ive been impressed so far. Luckily no surgery or anything intense has been needed. Also, my current kitty is quite docile. A true test is the difficult cat. Prices are reasonable, too.

Once again, I had to make the decision to release one of my dogs to the Rainbow Bridge. At 17 years old he was ready, I wasnt but the past few weeks his quality of life drastically declined.Everyone at Liberty was kind, caring, gentle and gave me lots of time with my boy. Amos peacefully slipped away to the Bridge in my arms where I know he is running, jumping, chasing squirrels and back to being the cheeky and spunky boy he always was. Run free Amos and thank you Liberty Vet for making a sad day a little bit easier by your kindness.

I walked in to Liberty Vet Clinic today 45 minutes before its closing without an appointment (appointments are necessary on Sundays) and asked if someone could look at my cat. The staff we so friendly and helpful and they checked out my cat quickly and got her the meds she needed even though I waltzed in without calling ahead. I have never been disappointed coming here—would recommend to anyone in the area with a pet!

This place is fantastic! They were able to fit my sick pup in within an hour of me calling (my regular vet was too busy). After my visit, I am switching over to Liberty Vet Clinic- the staff and Dr. Patten were FANTASTIC! Very kind, helpful, and gentle with my dog. Their prices were more than fair and they have a great facility. I highly recommend this clinic :)

In the current situation (Covid19) I dont think anything could have been done any better. Our puppy is only 3 months old, we have had her 6 days, and are scheduled to return later this month. I hope we can actually meet face to face by then.Prices extremely reasonable. The bill for our first visit with Liberty was 1/4 of what a visit to our previous vet would have cost, and that included puppy well check, medications for heart worm and flea and tick.

Dr. Patten is a knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarian. Dr. Patten was able to quickly diagnose my dogs gastrointestinal problems, and offered me multiple options for treatment. She took the time to guide me through the various treatment choices and was able to educate me on each one. She was not rushed, and I could tell she wanted me to really understand each treatment. After a few days of treatment my dog was cured and back to her normal herself.The best part of her clinic is that I was treated like family. Her staff were attentive and responsive, and took care of my little dog as if she were their own.I highly recommend Liberty Veterinary Clinic.

I switched to Liberty from another vet in the area and it was a great choice. Dr.Patten is beyond exceptional. She is thorough and will explain treatment options to you. Shes also incredibly compassionate and treats you like youre family. Ive never waited for an appointment and can get one very easily with little notice.

I was actually shocked to read anything negative about liberty. Dr. Patten is professional and excellent. My cat was ill and I called them and libertys staff stayed on the phone with me and reassured me and guided me through what to do for him. They also said I could drop him off either that night (they closed in an hour and were still willing to see him) or first thing in the morning if he needed medical care and that if I couldnt leave work that they would care for him all day. I am completely and totally thrilled with the care they offer my cat and would recommend them to anyone in an instant.

Liberty took great care of my kitty. The staff is very nice and Dr. Patton is a very caring Vet and is sensitive to staying within your budget, when tests are needed. She explains everything clearly and follows up in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Liberty Vet Clinic.

My experience was great...I dont think I have any suggestions for making it better because I am happy with how the entire appointment went. I am always satisfied with the care my cats receive. I feel like the entire staff address all of my concerns and are very caring towards my cats as well.

I had to find a new vet under the worst of circumstances; my long time vet died and I had a senior citizen dog, born in my home 16 years ago, who needed to go to the Bridge. On the recomendation of a friend I called Liberty Vet who were responsive, compassionate, professional and understanding. Peanut crossed to the Bridge in my arms.Liberty has become our new family vet.

Everyone at Liberty is wonderful. We were greeted immediately with smiles and warm welcomes. The nurses were very helpful and affection with Nala (cat). DVM was incredibly caring and provided good patient education about meds, symptom recognition and also knowledge about the disease process. Im very thankful we found this clinic, we were previously at wissahickon creek and switched. Thanks again!!

Great place. Ive been going here for 3 years. They really know their stuff, friendly, short wait and its never unpleasant being there. Alot of vets you feel like you want a 2nd opinion after they tell you something, Ive never had that problem here. They explain everything in logical laymans terms

I had a wonderful experience with Liberty Vet Clinic. I had a minor emergency this weekend - my dog had a swollen, bloody jowl that she kept pawing at - and I wasnt sure what I was going to do because my vet had already closed until Monday. I called a few different vets in the area that had Sunday hours, and Liberty was able to help me out. The tech I spoke to on the phone was awesome and was able to get me an appointment within the hour. When I arrived, I was checked in quickly and only had to wait 20 minutes or so before the vet came in for the exam. She seemed very knowledgeable, but above all, she was caring and really listened to what I had to say about the injury and my concerns. The entire staff made the visit so much more pleasant than I had anticipated!

Reasonable prices. Very knowledgeable and very nice. Dental discounts of 15% given during National Dental month of February. My cats dental procedure couldnt be booked til March 5th and they still gave me the discount.

I switched to Liberty for several reasons but the primary one is their caring and compassion!

For years we have been bouncing around vets trying to find the right fit for our dogs and for the cat/dog rescue I help run. I have now been to Liberty well over 50 visits with our animals, which is a significant sample size for decision making on care. Dr. Patten has proven time and again a few things that are so important in a veterinarian. 1. She treats all if my animals as if they were her own, her compassion and honest caring for them is evident and authentic. 2. She doesnt overtreat or recommend services that really dont make sense. She approaches the issues methodically and works through them vs. Throwing every test and medication in the world at us at once. 3.Liberty is so affordable compared to the vets in our area. 4. As a rescue, I am used to being treated and having the animals we save treated as second class citizens with dismal care at best. I have had cases of misdiagnosis and lackadaisical care at a few other vets, and we have never had that happen with Dr Patten or her wonderful staff. 5. I have now recommended at least 15 adopters to Dr. Patten and all have said they adore her and have gine back. I do wish they had more than 5 stars when service and dedication are always beyond what is expected and that is what I have had and continue to receive.

I highly recommend Liberty Veterinary Clinic. Unfortunately, our time with them was very short as our bengal had a terminal cancer and needed to be euthanized. However, Dr. Patten and Dr. Babineaux were able to make a quick diagnosis and thoroughly discuss the pros and cons of limited treatment options. Dr. Patten was available by phone to answer questions. Her staff were always friendly and compassionate. They made me feel as if they had known and cared for my cat for years rather than just 3 short weeks. I could not imagine a more respectful and caring way to go through the painful day of loss that was provided at Liberty Veterinary Clinic.

Horrible experience, from the very start. My partner and I were given a stray cat by a family member, I called to set an appointment for the next day and when my partner arrived my file wasnt in the computer and the appointment was never set. Although they were able to eximine our new cat the check up was very vague, and rushed. My partner left with the only information being the cat is 12 months and may be pregnant. When the vet mentioned the pregnancy her only advice was to spay our kitten immediately, not considering homes would be provided to the litter. No additional information regarding possible care or risks. Our kitten was obviously and undoubtedly pregnant just days later, Google was an excellent source of education and provided more information than the vet seemed to be willing to give to prepare us for the bundle of joy. Shortly after considering the experience we had an appointment yet again at this location but canceled and chose Wissahickon Creek Vetrinary Hospital to care for our expecting Queen. The day of our new appointment our Queen became extremely lathargic and depressed so we rushed her to her appointment early. We unfortunately had to euthanize her and the kittens too. If only Liberty Vet could have reviewed the risks and options when it comes to young strays having kittens the Wissahickon Vet Hospital experience may have been a happy one. I would do anything for animals to give them comfort and a chance for a good home and life. Liberty Vets careless approach was the first step to a tragic loss, I will never bring another animal to this location and HIGHLY recommend Wissahickon Vetrinary Hospital, they were compassionate and sincere as we had to say goodbye to our kitten.
