I entered PRC June 26 2012. Sadly after a week I had to leave because my insurance refused to cover me. Pat and Shelly from PRC went out of their way to find me another facility that would accept my insurance. I went to the other facility and dealt with my depression issues. April 22 2013 I checked myself into PRC for alcohol. I wanted to return there because I remember how wonderful the staff was. From the moment I walked into to PRC i felt like i was welcomed with open arms. They really do care about you. There was never a time I felt alone or that I wasnt getting the help I needed. From the wonderful office staff, to my great counselor Martina Wilson to the cooks who prepared great meals. They were all wonderful. After spending 30 days at PRC I decided I would stay longer. I ended up staying 65 days total. I would not have stayed 24 hrs in a facility that didnt meet my standards. I found PRC to have some great groups. They have grief processing, anger management, 12 step programs. Inside and outside AA or NA meetings. And most importantly you meet with your counselor twice a week. My counselor was a godsend. She was patient and kind and really cared. I owe my sobriety all to her.Aside from the great staff I also met some pretty wonderful clients there who will be long time friends. It was a lot of hard work but but there were a lot of fun times. I am thrilled for having the opportunity to get the help I needed from PRC.Thank you PrcDana

PRC was what I needed at the time. The staff gave me support, respect, professional care and love. Where are all the PRC complainers now? Using, drunk, another rehab...? Im closing in on a year of being clean, sober and getting my shattered life back. Thank you, the staff at PRC, for helping me to be happy, joyous and finally free. Michael Hill

My name is Leslie and I am an alcoholic. I arrived at PRC March 2nd 2016. I was broken physically mentally and emotionally. I am a late bloomer I started at 45 and arrived and almost 51 years old. You might say 6 years is not a long time however I lost almost everything I had. PRC saved my life, or should I say the people who work at PRC and my willingness to listen saved my life. I came to PRC kind of lying about my abilities due to the fact that I had broken my femur in two places. I told them that I used a wheelchair sometimes and a walker and when I got there I was able to use my Walker enough to get in the doors and get treatment that I needed. After being admitted I follow doctors orders of being non-weight-bearing and use my wheelchair and zipped around the hallways to groups and to therapy. I was so desperate to get help that I exaggerated about my physical abilities yet I was able to keep up with the able-bodied people around me. Judy was my counselor and got me to see things that I hadnt seen for 50 years of my life. It was like I had lived 50 years as an undeveloped person and just now 2 years sober I am developing into the person that I should always been. I am 2 years and 1 months sober I am working in recovery both at a facility and my sober living I am working my program developing friendships developing a life and developing hopes and dreams. All of this could never have happened if I hadnt walked through or roll through the doors or PRC. Those of you who are still struggling and looking for somewhere to get your life in order to learn how to live with the disease of addiction I recommend PRC highly. There is light at the end of this tunnel of addiction you just have to be willing to take the journey through the dark tunnel.

This place helped me get my life back together. In 4 weeks, Ill have 2 years in recovery. I was never able to get clean anywhere else. Ive been to multiple rehabs and this was the one that stuck. I recommend PRC to anyone who is struggling and wants to get their life back, like I did. Happy new year!

I recently had to place a loved one in treatment. For starters I work in this industry so I set the bar really high. I have got to tell you that they have gone out of their way to treat my family member like a human being. Jacob was amazing from start to finish. I was very emotional and he walked and talked me through this process. I cannot be more grateful.

I had a great experience at PRC. It changed my life. I was at my rock bottom when I got there. The groups were great the counselors were awesome. Of course I have to give a shout out to my wonderful counselor Sheryl, she opened my eyes right away that I was truly an alcoholic and no more excuses of trying to blame others and take responsibility for once in my life. She really really cares so much and wants soberity for anyone she meets. I love her so much! I would recommend PRC to anyone who is in need and wants to change their life. Thanks to all the staff. I came in at 90 pounds and put on 15 thanks to all the good food they served me. They always knew Tina would be back for 2nd.s

This place did me no favors. I just finished my second rehab in Indiana and it was night and day. The rehab in Indiana was so much more productive. Pasadena Recovery is a joke compared to the rehab I just left. Do not waste time or money here. Unfortunately, the staff does not care. I would give it zero stars if possible. Their coed setup is comical. Their counselors are subpar. Their after care is basically nonexistent.

I live in Pasadena California, while I myself did not go to this facility, Dozens of my friends lives were saved by attending Pasadena Recovery Center. Over the last 2 years I have become very close with the staff and frequently visit the facility. Everyone who works there is extremely welcoming and supportive to not only people who have attended PRC but the entire Pasadena recovery community. I highly recommend to anyone who is in need of help with substance use disorder to consider Pasadena Recovery Center, they are in the business of saving lives and truly care about helping all those who still suffer.

Terrible facility. The owner is a slum lord! The son of the owner, Michael Bloom, took over after his father passed away. The facility is in terrible run down condition. Take a tour and see for yourself. The flooring throughout is a very cheap laminate click flooring and all torn up, worn out, warped, rotted, etc. The rain gutters are all rusted out. Everything is in need of paint and rusting or rotted all over. The ceilings are stained from leaking. The furniture? HAHAHA looks like he found it on the streets. Michael you over weight lazy worthless human!!!! Have a little dignity. You were fortunate to inherit an ATM machine and your parents house in Hidden Hills. You cheap bastard spend some money and treat the people at PRC like humans!!!!!Health department will get the pictures I took very soon. He needs to be shut down. Security is very minimal. Patients sneak alcohol in!!! This place is an over priced day care for adults. What a shame!! Michael, your father would roll over in his grave if he saw what you are doing! Grow a set and man up

My friend died here last week. I was told he was overdosed by the staff. He was just with me one week before and in good health , just a little drinking problem. after being there 4 days , A friend talked to him and said he could barely talk on phone. He didnt walk in that way. Trust me this is not over. Me and my friends will see this place close if it takes my whole life.

Please DO NOT go to this facility for treatment. If you think it is affiliated with Dr. Drew, you are wrong. They are deceptive, unethical and conduct illegal activity. Their sole purpose is to make money off peoples misfortunes. I thought I was sending my loved one to a safe, clean and effective facility. Not only is the physical shape of the building and the rooms in much needed repair, it is filthy, infested with rodents with exposed asbestos. It is no wonder they dont allow family members in the rooms of patients. Several people got sick here after only a few days. People go through withdrawals in rooms with no AC. Its like a prison. People who have no addiction issues are sent here on court orders. There are criminals at this facility who get into fights daily and smuggle in drugs. There is also a great deal of theft and they dont allow patients to lock their doors and their belongings. All the patients are over-medicated and heavily sedated with a cocktail of stage 3 anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds, even those who have no official diagnosis of mental health issues. There is no encouragement for physical activity so everyone resorts to heavy chain smoking. The facility is severely understaffed and most counselors dont even have the proper certification to counsel addicts. The owner of this facility and his extreme lack of care shows as he underpays his staff. Theyve owed me thousands of dollars for several months because my family member decided to leave this dump and they have yet to pay me back. This place needs to be shut down. Im filing a complaint with the public health department. Please do not go here to seek treatment. They replace illegal drugs with legal drugs.

This is a personal review of Pasadena Recovery Center. I have been a resident there twice. Last summer after a failed attempted suicide by hanging and this current by means of an alcohol addiction. I am not a big believer in the 12 steps, but for those that need are there for them. I have the utmost care for anyone who has an addiction to drugs or alcohol and stops and says I need to do something about this before my times up (walking yourself into an early grave.) There are always a staff member around to help a client if is a personal problem or you just need someone to talk. The entire staff team is there to help you.Pasadena Recovery has some of the finest councilors I have worked with, all addiction specialists they open a serious newcomer with open arms and happily take any baggage that comes with it. The councilors allow visiting hours on Sunday which is strictly a friends and family only day whereas Wednesday are visiting hours in combination for the families that wish to stay with their loved ones is a two hour education run by two of the councilors on addiction education.Never once when I was dealing with my depression was there a staff member who couldnt comfort me. The office staff are very brilliant people who also care about the clients and they are not out to take your money and say your son or daughter, brother, sister, family member or friend are in good hands without having the utmost sincerity.I believe in their structured daily morning group activity programs, a little on the early side but its good to get in the habit of waking up to be a member of society. Im a bit old fashioned in ways that not all treatment centers are. Pasadena has their Dual Diagnosis program which I took advantage of this past bout. I am diagnosed mixed anxiety disorders; some Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, chronic Insomnia, Bipolar and have occasional manic episodes, which the entire team helped me out with. The Councilors are some of the finest I have worked with and I have been in therapy for the past few years and the team there are as top notch as those that I worked with in Hospitals. Why anybody would write a negative review is beyond me because my stay there was the best thing that could have ever happened to me.

PRC saved my life. I knew I didn’t want to die but I had no idea I wanted to live, until I came to PRC. I was taken care of the minute I arrived to the minute I left 121 days later. The front office staff addressed my needs and looked out for me. The PAs sat with me, listened to me and helped me through every painful and beautiful process of me becoming me again. The counseling crew are beyond talented and are such kind and caring individuals. I was comforted and confronted, I was able to uncover, discover and discard all parts of myself. They instilled in me the genuine desire to embrace AA with all the caveats-90 in 90, sober living, meetings, sponsors, etc. Bottom line, the counselors set me up to succeed. I will be forever grateful to all those who pass through the doors of the Pasadena Recovery Center for assisting me in getting my life back and even better!
