Would give 0 stars if possible. Had a referral for my daughter here, called everyday for a week and got no assistance, just excuses that no one could make an appointment for her, the girl that does that is out or someone will call you tomorrow and that went on everyday for over a week. The staff when I was calling in was very rude and unprofessional. As a person that works in the medical field, I have never seen or been treated with such disregard as I have here. This staff is a disgrace to the profession and should be replaced. I was treated so poorly that I had to have our primary provide a referral to another neurologist, to which we were treated very professionally with care and compassion. Advent Health did not provide a good first impression, instilling a vision of less that great care for my child. Based on how we were treated just trying to get an appointment, I would not recommend this place to anyone. I would however, recommend finding another neurology care facility for your child.

I don’t know why this office has so many bad reviews.... I’ve had a totally different experience with them. I’ve never encountered a problem with this office. Everyone has always been very professional and helpful. Tiffany at the front desk is always willing to help me with my son’s appointments. Stephanie, the nurse, has been very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. She answers all my questions regarding my son’s health and returns my phone calls. Everytime I call, I get the answers that I need. My son has been seen by Dr. Fortuno since he was born and I have no complaints. She is very knowledgeable, and friendly.

The office staff need A LOT of training and re-training. I interact with 6+ Advent Health medical offices. This is the only one that operates this way. They tell you to call back for everything. They dont return calls or respond to messages. The doctors dont cover one another when one goes on vacation so you can be left with zero care and no ability to get test results. Appointments are tough to get so they are likely overextended in terms of patient numbers. And before you give me the standard we want to hear from you please email us response know I emailed you WEEKS AGO and no response back. If you are considering going to another practice, I personally would. Too bad the doctor, who is good, is misrepresented by the mismanaged and unprofessional office staff.

To begin with when I initially contacted the office to schedule an appointment I called four times and left four voicemails in a period of 3 days and no one returned my call. I kept calling and finally was able to schedule an appointment. Then I was supposed to have received some forms over the mail and bring them to the appointment; and I only received half of the forms. At the appointment Mark was exceptional and made my daughter and myself feel very comfortable; therefore I have no complaints about him. However, I was instructed by Maria to schedule a virtual appointment for the results. I was never explained that my 11 year old daughter had to be present in order for the physician to provide the results; and maybe like Maria stated as she told me that i had to reschedule well, i mean its kind of like... I mean the patient has to be present for an in person appointment so its like the same. To her it might have been common sense and she assumed I already knew that was a requirement. However, as professionals one should never assumed that the patients/ clients KNOW. Therefore, explaining before hand will prevent the challenges one experiences when one adjusts the work schedule to complete the appointment and then you are told that you have to wait another month for the results. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED THAT THERE IS NO CONSIDERATION. Again, Mark was exceptional, but as of the scheduling staff since day one of me trying to schedule an appointment it was very difficult.

Heaven forbid due to unforeseen circumstances and uncontrollable events you arrive late, you dont get seen! under twenty minutes? Traveling OVER an hour, with my disabled child and being greeted with youre late is unnecessary. Having to speak to someone to see if we will be seen when there was no one else there for an appointment that would have been a few minutes IF that was disheartening. Then to say next appointment will be in March of next year!? To an already scary situation to be met with no compassion is disgusting and uncalled for. May whomever I dealt with and the doctor not have to experience such ugliness in an already difficult time. I refuse to go to any Advent Health Provider since having to deal with such ugliness.

What a horrible experience calling this office. I am trying to get help for my child whom is diagnosed with Autistic Disorder and the company requires the initial screening that was done to my child which was completed by Doctor Fortuno Roman. I called to get a copy of it and the receptionist sent a message to the “clinical assistant” what a rude and unpleasant lady she proceed to tell me that they do not perform “developmental screening” so I asked if what was on their page was wrong and she said “no what’s on your page is wrong” so that makes me think that the code for the diagnosis they put in my child paper is wrong? Well “clinical assistant” please find attached picture of your page saying that you do complete developmental screening.

I have called this office 6 times and left messages in the last week and no one has returned my calls. This is absolutely RIDICULOUS!
