Bad experiences.I wanted a primary care referral to see an ENT, and they could not provide a referral. The staff told me that your PPO plan is inactive, and the HMO plan needs referral, and that the HMO plan has a different primary care provider listed, I requested them that please use my PPO plan. They said this is not your primary insurance, even though I paid its premium. They did not accept both of my insurances for my previous doctor visits, and told me that I will have to pay from pocket. This is very unprofessional, and I wont see this doctor again.Instead of serving the patients, they are giving more headaches to them.

Worst experience I have ever had looking for a new doctor. I scheduled a new patient apt a month prior and made it clear that I have not seen or had a primary care doctor in over 3 years. I also made it clear that I wanted to see Dr. Burns. The day of my apt, I called to confirm my apt and time an hour before (since never received a followup call) Come to find out the office MESSED UP and had me scheduled to see one of their nurse practitioners. I havent seen a doctor for 3 years, and this is my first apt at their DOCTORS office. I dont mind PAs but I think you should see the doctor the first time. I told them that I was suppose to see Dr. Burns but they REFUSED TO FIX IT and was extremely rude about it. So we tried to reschedule and the soonest apt was a month out. Why should have to reschedule or wait a month due to YOUR offices mistakes? I told them to just delete all my information because I am not going back to your office.

Dr. Burns is actually a pretty good doctor (and will go into thorough detail if youd like him to on medical questions - which is uncommon as most doctors Ive ever seen just wave away any questions or concerns) and Ive never had a problem with the staff like other reviews have said.

Dr. Burns is thorough and very knowledgeable. We did a full blood panel and found the source of my tiredness. Just from my blood test he was able to tell I was eating really healthy but still had bad LDL due to genetics. When discussing meds he brought up costs and was able to prescribe me a low cost med and said he could switch it if ended up being more expensive than expected. They do blood draws and vaccinations in office which is super convenient. The blood draw woman was great and I had no bruising at all.Notes: He is efficient which I like but it means you should come with a list of what you want to discuss so you dont get distracted and forget. Also, they will print out your lab results for you to pick up if requested. Theyre old school and dont have an online system to see your results.

I dont understand the reviews about the staff being rude. Theyve always been quite courteous every time Ive gone. The doctors are friendly, and are very helpful with your budget in mind. For a while they kept giving me samples of Relpax, a migraine medicine, rather than just handing me a prescription that wouldve cost me over $100. Im a happy patient here, and recommend it to everyone who asks.

Dr. Burns was the primary care physician for my son, Thomas. Thomas, age 47 died on Dec. 14th due to edema of his throat, mouth and airway. This death was caused by a reaction to the drug Lisinopril. Thomas had been on the drug for his blood pressure for about 2 years prior to being treated by Dr. Burnss PA. When my son died Dr. Burns refused to sign the death certificate and because of this the corpse was held in the mortuary for a full month until finally the ER doctor signed it. I am very disappointed that Dr. Burns or his PA did not warn my son of these possible side effects and even more disappointed that he refused to sign his death certificate and also would not take phone calls from the mortuary. I was told that his whole office staff was uncooperative with this. I am an 84 year old widow and my son was my care taker.
