Tried Alafaya Vision Center for the first time yesterday (glasses & contact lens exam) and they were AMAZING! Folks there are very kind, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and positive. I also appreciate being able to submit all forms online.

I have been coming here for 10 years. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The doctors here are great! Highly recommend.

Mena, Dr. Zoran and Ann were great! I came into the office and was warmly greeted. Dr. Zoran was very nice and funny. Mena was very pleasant confirming my appointment. I’m genuinely glad I came to this office. I left with new eyes and a huge smile from not only being able to see but from the staff overall being helpful and pleasant.10/20/21 update: I should of cancelled my appointment from the beginning when I was told there’s nothing she can do about traffic but I need to be there at my appointed time. Everyone was kind but I was given incorrect prescription.. I was never given a trial lenses I was just advised to order the contacts and I ordered a YEAR supply when I asked why I was cut off by Mena and told “That’s 6 months ago we’re talking about now”. Long story short because I didn’t know I have a 40 days for changes and it’s been 6 months I’m stuck with a year supply of INCORRECT PRESCRIPTIONS that triggers my migraines and gives me vertigo. I advise explaining the process better instead of telling people to give 5 star reviews for free contacts & glasses ware. I will NOT be coming back.

Everything was very quick and the staff was very nice and helpful. I had some problems putting in my contacts and they helped me and made sure I was comfortable.

Office is dirty with dust everywhere, the place just looks run down, all the manager cares about is money, she does not know how to manage an office or take care of customers properly. Sometimes the machines are left uncleaned with makeup on them. The manager simply does not know how to run a business, very unprofessional and rude to the workers. The girls are nice and the one that was so kind to me I was told doesnt work there anymore. The place is a mess.

Doctor was great. However, the lady at the front desk assured me she ran my insurance when in fact she did not. When I returned to clarify the situation, she informed me they would not file a claim after the fact so I was left with that hassle.

Insurance issues! Staff were nice but gave us such a hassle on covering what our insurance clearly covers, even though they were in-network. We had to have our insurance call them while there to talk them into refunding some of the money for the exam. We had to leave while still not paying for our lenses like our insurance said they should. It was a mess.

Had my annual eye exam today at Alafaya Vision Center. Scheduling my appointment online was seamless. They took me immediately back when I arrived at my appointment time. Everyone from the staff at the front desk to the doctor was extremely friendly and helpful. Receiving several options from the doctor on recommendations for my glasses was appreciated. No pressure at all to purchase onsite. Its so relieving to go to an office where you dont feel like you are just another name to check off a list. I will continue to come here for my vision needs.

Great service from the moment I walked in. The staff at the front counter are very helpful. Gigi was a delight, I had a little mishap with insurance and she was quick to help resolve it. Dr. Brian Runda is always the best at explaining everything in detail which is extremely important. Overall the entire team here is amazing and the service just as amazing this is why my husband, daughter and myself keep returning year after year 😊.

Everyone is very friendly and professional. My husband and I see Dr. Runda, and we wont go anywhere else. He takes the time to address our concerns and is extremely patient with our questions. My experience at the Alafaya Vision Center was phenomenal. The entire staff was great. Their customer service and hospitality has to be the best that ever experienced. Not only do they treat you kindly they also get their job done with little waiting time. I recommend anyone in the area whose seeking an eye doctor to call them up and schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

From the phone call to make the appointment to checking out with my new prescription and contacts my experience was fantastic. Everyone was very nice. I was getting headaches behind my right eye after being on my computer for 5 or more minutes and the doctor not only diagnosed the problem immediately but corrected it that day. I have not had a problem since and am forever grateful. A big thank you to all the staff and doctors at Alafaya Vision Center.

I only come once a year and there is ALWAYS a long wait time...even with an appointment. This is not the place to be if you have other things to do. I spent about 25 mins with someone and another hour waiting. Theres nothing particularly superior about this place. Will find a new eye doctor. This is my third and final visit.

Horrid... here over the weekend with an appointment... running over an hour behind, we left. Made another appointments for today 945 and 10am, first appointments of the day. We were waiting outside and still they tried to put a patient in front of us. One doctor and more than 3 appointments set for the same time.... 10:30 and still 10am appointment still not seen 2nd child.Doc was nice.... ladies running things have zero idea what they have are doing and they DO NOT CARE how long you wait... I think after 4 years of coming here and the same issues... we are finally done... see ya

They are incredibly friendly and helpful! I’ve had some serious struggles trying to find the right brand of contacts and all of the staff was very understanding and more than willing to help me find the right fit!

Receptionist was extremely nice,informative, and kind.the nurse and doctor are nice and very knowledgeable. Prices are excellent and place is very clean. Kristina has great customer service.I receive phone call that with my insuranceI can get free contacts. When I got there I found out they use my benfit which I want for eyeglass.Kristina was quick to call my insurance and fix it. She was so pleasant & keep smile on whole time.

I have been going here for the past 4 Years. The staff is very friendly and on top of things. I’m always in and out when I have my appointments. I have actually moved to the west side of Orlando and still commute to this location for their services. Doctors have awesome manners toward patients.

I go see the Dr. every year for my eye exams. The staff and the doctor are very helpful and well informed. I get my contacts next day at the office and thats really convenient. They have most contacts in stock for samples and usually when i get my exam i get trials on the same day! Sometimes there may be a little bit of a wait on weekends but I really appreciate that they are open on the weekends, its really helpful with my work schedule

I usually dread my annual eye appointments because it takes so long, but I was pleasantly surprised with my most recent visit. I did the online booking, which was very convenient. The front desk staff, Britney and Kristina were very friendly, helpful, and quick with me. I told Kristina I was in a rush to get done by a certain time and she was able to work with me to get my eyes dilated as quick as possible and get through my appointment in a jiffy. Dr. Manguikian Viken was awesome and great to talk to. Hes quick and to the point, and answers any question you have in detail.

Everybody here is so sweet and accommodating! I really felt like I was being taken care without being put in a rush. Ive been a long time patient as well as my family here and reccomand seeing any of the doctors! If contacts dont feel right or if you have any questions they will definitely take that extra time to make sure you are satisfied with your visit.

As a first time customer at LensCrafters I felt the service and staff was fantastic. Everyone was super friendly and made everything easy to understand. The eye doctor did not rush through my examination and made me feel like he genuinely cared to give me the exact prescription right for my eyes. I will definitely be coming back to this location!

Wonderful experience. I signed up the day before for an appointment online, momentso later I had my confirmation and text remainders set up. On Sunday I walked in 2 hours early to see if I could be seen earlier. They were able to fit me in, the eye exam was great they explained every charge, everything that was happening in the exam. Amazing service

Overall my experience was pleasant. They never seem to have my sample contacts in stock so I always end up needing to make a second trip to pick up my trial contact lenses. I require astigmatism lenses so I think they just carry fewer in stock. The doctors and most staff are very nice. It took me a while to get back in and pick up my trial lenses and one of the receptionists gave me an attitude about it which I didnt at all appreciate. She should have apologized for not having them in stock instead of giving me an earful about not being able to make it back in timely.

Dont book an appointment here unless you have your whole day to waste. I came for a normal eye exam, which should have taken about an hour, hour and a half max. I was there for over 3 hours. They dialated my eyes, which only take 30 minutes to kick in. I had to wait a full hour after putting the drops in to see the doctor again. The doctor is very nice but the front desk ladies are rude and uninterested in helping you. There are too many other eye doctors in Orlando to waste your time here!

During my visit at lenscrafters I was pleased with how friendly the staff and doctors were. They made sure I felt comfortable and were friendly. They were also very speedy, i was in and out in no time.

Had a great experience until this weekend. My puppy chewed up my glasses and I asked for a copy of my prescription. Great, easy, they gave me one. Then, I try to order glasses but need my PD, or papillary distance. I call to see if they can do it, have it on file, whatever. The office manager tells me that they dont measure PD, go to the person who is making your glasses. The other store tells me, you need a new exam to get your PD. Alafaya Vision lost me as a patient.

The doctor and staff here were extremely helpful. Dr virani is very thorough and has the best bedside manner. I have been coming here for years to see her.

Would not return or recommend anyone else to go there. It was the first time we used them due to a new Vision plan being offered by our employer, but it has ended up being so much more expensive in the long run. My son went there just a few months ago and tried two different contact lens, monthly and daily. He was forced to choose just one prescription, when I asked to switch him to the other prescription they want another $125 to do so. Target optical beats this one hands down in service and flexibility of working with the patient, they gave more than one option for contact lens prescriptions. Awful customer service.

The entire staff was very nice and patient with me! I am a college student on a budget who lost her glasses on her way back from spring break. My mother called Lenscrafter for a walk-in eye exam without an appointment and they were able to see us. We were in luck that the store had a sale that helped us buy beautiful glasses with a real good price. In less than two hours, I walked out wearing beautiful Ralph Lauren red glasses which I am proud to wear! I recommend this Lenscrafter in Waterford Lakes Mall in Orlando, FL and ask for Michelle.

I brought my mother to her appointment today and she had a very good appointment but while filling out paperwork we were addressed very rudely. As I was sitting next to my mom a woman whom I believe is actually the office manager (I think I heard someone say her name is Mina) approached me and said Why are you just sitting there. I was clearly there with my mother whom is wheelchair bound to help her but she made me feel as if I was a waste of space in the waiting area. The rest of the staff and Doctor was extremely nice and redeemed the visit, however, the office manager did taint the beginning of our visit to where we almost walked out. I have never written a review before but I think the lady needs to take some customer service lessons from her staff. Not only did she have that rude comment, but she was so quick to take my mothers card without even explaining what we were paying for. Wouldve given 5/5 stars if it wasnt for that initial interaction, but I want to give a special thanks to the young girls who work there who really took care of my mother and made sure she didnt feel like a waste of space.

When it comes to renewing my eye contacts subscription, I try to keep it simple. I am careful about what doctor I see for my annual checkup. I picked Dr. Virani because she is one of the best doctors in the area. The first visit last year was excellent and great friendly staff. However, my second annual visit was horrible. I do not know what happened to the previous friendly staff but the current staff just do not care about anyone but themselves. I had scheduled an appointment at 12 pm and was not seen until 3:00 pm. Normally, I have lots of patience and understand but the staff had a hard time keeping up with patients and neglecting those that had an appointment. What is the point for an appointment if you not going to be seen at the scheduled time? I made the mistake to ask a staff member for Lenscrafters to get an estimate to buy some glasses and that took 1 hour because the person that was supposed to attend me left and next staff member could not find my information in the computer. I left furious, then a few days later, I was sent a text to pick up my trial contacts. Trial Contacts? My prescription and contacts brands had not changed at all. I arrived at the office and the receptionist was talking to two other staff members about how they purchased online the glasses they are wearing. The Doctor’s staff was so proud not to buy in the store they are working in and that they only buy online. I was asked my name and date of birth and she kept on this conversation about how nice the online glasses were and I was completely ignored and passed to another staff member that kept asking for the same questions my name and birth date. Then I found out the staff neglected to order my year supply of contact and had me go to the office to pick up just 2 boxes of contact for a couple of months. I love the doctor for but that visit to pick up the so-called trials was an hour just to sort my information that was supposed to be in the computer and in the top of that, they never order my year supply of contacts. I will never ever step my foot in Lenscrafter or this Dr. Virani’s office. I recommend staying away from Lenscrafter and especially the Doctor ‘staff you will find better places out there.

The optometrist was very nice and helpful answering any questions I had. The staff was just as nice and friendly.

It was easy to get an appointment but the office visit took 2.5 hours and that was without buying the glasses. Im not going back because i felt trapped, like they were trying to make me purchase glasses there.

I called and ask a question - they did not carry the product - the girl on the phone did not say Thanks for calling, just hung up - Click - Trust me I will never call Alafaya Vision again and i will tell my friends.A simple Thank you, IM sorry we do not carry that product would have been nice.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Would not recommend to anyone. I went here because I received new insurance and was forced to leave my previous eye doctor. The exam was very brief and the optometrist was very short with me and did not seem concerned at all when I stated I had extremely dry eyes and couldnt find contacts that worked for me. She simply suggested I PURCHASE some to try and if they dont work, just come back and purchase another brand. She couldnt even recommend a brand to me that she thought might work.The receptionist was also very cold and refused to print me out a copy of my prescription! Ive never experienced such unprofessionalism. Id much rather pay, than go to a place like this even if its covered by insurance. Safe yourself the frustration and find someplace else.

This is my second time I’ve received services from the office the first time was wonderful very informative and quick and easy appointment scheduling and service. This time was horrible! I spent over 2 hours in that office! I checked in 8 mins before my appointment time provided my insurance information and the attendant ad that I had a copayment of 22 dollars for a service that I didn’t request. I advise that I was there for only an annual eye exam with dilation and as per my insurance I had 0 copay for my visit. Then she replied by saying that I can opt out of the additional service charged. I was seen 25 mins after my scheduled appointment time. When I was called in all offices where occupied so they sat me down again to wait an extra 15 mins. Had a different doctor from last time but answered my questions. It felt like a rushed appointment. Since I opted in to dilate my pupils they put in the drops and sat me down for over an hour. The location assigned as waiting are has a lot of light since is the showroom of the LensCrafters so it was very uncomfortable to have the eyes dilated and wait for so long to be seen again just to be in a second room for less than 5 mins.

This is for the eye doctor and not Lenscrafters.Worth zero stars. Had a 1:20 pm appointment.. I was still waiting at 2:10 pm and then was told I would get in for another two hours or more! Waiting three hours for an appointment is horrible customer service in my opinion. I will not be going back.

The wait time at this office is unacceptable. I had an appointment for 11:20 and didnt go back for pre-screening until after 12:50 then I didnt see the doctor until after 1:30. There is no way that an eye doctors appointment should take over 2 hours. Find another doctor unless you dont mind the long wait time.

Please know the law and your rights before going here.First, understand that the physician here is pleasant and friendly. She is easy to work with and patient with children. I have not had major problems with my eyes, nor has anyone in my family. My point here, is that we have rather basic follow ups, and it would take a complete buffoon to mess up one of the few appointments we have had here. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the office staff. To be quite frank, the best term that keeps coming to mind are brainless twits. I get it, that is harsh, but they seem like the type that text, facebook and drive and cant believe the audacity of the other driver they rear-ended. Im always happy when I finally get to deal with the physician here, because Im finally done with this office staff for the current appointment. Here is where the law comment comes in to play. I am not sure if this is the fault of this physician, or lack of training, or maybe the office staff is much less intelligent than I even first thought. The law requires they provide you with a copy of your prescription immediately, and without asking for it. They will make you feel as if the overpriced lens crafters is your only option as they are associated with them. They will also give you difficulty if you advise you are taking your prescription elsewhere. They will also argue with you (even though basic math is presented to them) that their contact lens orders are a better deal, and again, they act abruptly when you inform them you need a copy of your prescription. Florida law (unsure about federal here) requires that the prescription be a part of paperwork you leave with. They must provide it without asking, and they cannot insinuate that they or Lens Crafters are the only option. Furthermore, daily wear soft contact lens prescriptions are required by Florida law to be good for 2 years. Unfortunately, for me, I got my lenses here 4 years ago, and then again a year later went for a check up. I was not aware of this law at the time, and they said I needed a new prescription after a year. This is clearly a ploy to get you in their office more. I have a hard time finding this to be an honest mistake. If they do this to you, no matter how much you love this physician, please contact the Florida Department of Health and the Attorney General to simply file a complaint. You should attempt to speak to some members of their staff about this law as well....youll see what I mean about brainless twits. With this said, my wife is currently having this issue. But we are very familiar with the law now. They refuse to provide a prescription that does not say expired on it. The prescription was written December 2013. Not only will they not provide a copy that doesnt say expired, the office staff takes it upon themselves to write in large permanent black ink across the prescription EXPIRED. Understand that daily lens does not refer to when you dispose of the lens, but refers to when you wear the lens, per the Florida Health Dept. For example, if you get a lens that lasts one month, if you are to take it out each night, that is a daily lens. You expose of it after 30 days, and then start with another DAILY lens. Most lenses are soft lenses.Make sure you understand your rights. I did not 4 years ago, and truly wish I did.

If it wasnt for the young lady at LensCrafters who helped picked my glasses I would definitely hate my whole experience ! She was phenomenal made me less angry at the fact that my appointme,,,,,,, but nwas at 10 and I did not leave until 1 ! The lady at the front desk was very rude .the doctor has a non chalant attitude about everything .and his assistant litterally sat In a room with me for 20 minutes before saying a word to me . I wouldnt recommend it but hey its your choice guys .
