Am giving this place a 4 stars not 5Reason beingCalling guests services or in room dining - no staff member to answer, the phone keeps ringing and ringing till it goes to a busy signalWe tried numerous times until we finally reached the front desk and she got thru to in room diningWe ordered guacamole and chipsThe guacamole had no flavor at all extremely bland the other items we ordered were just okay for this type of place should have outstanding foodNopeThe bed for us way too soft we woke up with pain in our neck’s (but that could be just us)Otherwise the staff that we encountered were outstanding and special standing ovations are for valet staff.The property was immaculateSince we will no longer going back to Orlando can not say if we would stay

This is a true 5 star hotel. Service and staff is their best attribute. Everyone is extremely nice and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and very well equipped with everything you need. Of course their bathrooms are marble and with very high lux everything. Their breakfast restaurant H&H is wonderful, great customer service, and delicious food. And their fine dinning restaurant called Knife&Spoon is beyond great. Amazing food, service, and just very gourmet style. Pool area is wonderful too.

My friend invited me to a relaxing spa day. Before this day, I was not to keen on spas, I did not understand the purpose nor the power of a spa. Before our pre-booked services we were provided access to the Spa and the amenities, I was granted a tour by Stephen who was very nice. Upon entering into the spa, I was greeted be a very warm, calm attendant who provided us champagne. The atmosphere was so calming and relaxing my troubles, tension and stress instantly floated away. I relaxed in the whirlpool and then we went out to catch some sun by the pool. We ordered food and libations from the Spa restaurant which was amazing. From this experience, I am a firm believer of Spas. The sense of relaxation that I had was amazing and I have been trying to hold on to that feeling as much as possible. I will soon visit.

Extremely comfortable 5 stars hotel, service is great and all employees followed covid protocol quite well. Unfortunately, the same doesnt apply to guest and no signs of face cover indoors are seen in closed spaces.

Stayed at this property in a suite for 10 days during a visit for my daughters Nationals Volleyball tournament. The property was nice and our room was very comfortable with ample space. The health club was top notch and the pool was great. Staff overall was friendly and somewhat attentive. Last year we had stayed at the Four Seasons Orlando. Both hotels had a similar feel but the Ritz definitely would take second place to it.

Weve stayed in some nice hotels around the globe. The Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes is definitely one of my families favorite. The whole property is beautiful and has a lot to offer. The staff are extremely courteous and professional, the dining is impeccable and delicious, particularly High Ball and Harvest, and the rooms are modern and cozy. We really had a wonderful experience here and didnt want to leave. Lots of Wow! factors really show how they try to go all out on providing a luxurious and extravagant experience. We highly recommend staying here. Its worth the money.

The staff is the sole reason for the 5 stars. Each and every person that we came in contact with was amazing. From the Bellman and front desk associates at the beginning of our stay to the end Housekeeping.Each person had full conversations with us and just made us feel so welcomed. We stayed at the Carlton September 24-26. We were given 200$ credit to our room. Not only did they use the credit they charged my card not once but twice. Its been 5 days sense our return and nothing has been fixed. They are disconnecting our call as we are trying to resolve this. We have now been transferred 4 times just to re-explain our situation. Our account has been over withdrawn due to this. This has been the worst experience at a hotel I’ve ever had. They do not keep their word as they just try to pass the problem to the next guy. We were just disconnected as I’m writing this review. THE WORST HOTEL TO STAY AT!!!

The pool area staff were really amazing, they made my trip. We also enjoyed fresh smoothies and local coffee, AM games at Ritz Kids was nice, although that space could use a good carpet clean… otherwise the bunny, and garden were a sweet touch as well. We hope to visit again!

Overall a great resort. Beautiful, adaptable, and commute to the next-door resort with additional amenities is a short, nice walk to float on the Ritz’ Lazy River away. Refreshments in lobby are great and our suite was very nice. Some areas in the hotel are a bit out-dated and the bikes outside don’t come with helmets, which isn’t ideal. Other than that, superb stay!

This place is excellent for a night out. The restaurant has a dress code, but it is business casual. The food is superb quality, the staff is extremely knowledgeable, and the wine/spirit list is the best in the area. The bar staff especially is beyond measure in performance.

WE stayed September 24/25 , we did valet at 4:57 pm to check in and we pick up our vehicle at 7pm everything from inside the car was stolen including our other cars keys credit cards sunglasses , right away we escaladed to the management and the answer was ( valet company is not us its different ) how ever until not no one respond to the the stolen items . we had to change our house lock offices and warehouses . my 2020 range rover key cost me 700$ to get it from the dealer . management promised to credit us but yet now absolutely nothing . we strongly advise to not valet if you do please do not leave anything inside your vehicle . we have the prove of the report by police and the security of the hotel .

Best massage! Highly organized and efficient booking. The hospitality 5 star. Henry was amazing. If you have time its worth the stop and you have full access to there facilities, we ate lunch and went swimming in a wonderfully heated pool! The guy on the pool deck, sorry I dont remember his name was super attentive. I had a virgin Miami Vice 5 star. Everything about this day gave me a much needed relaxing day. #wonderful

I treated my mother to a mother daughter weekend and it was amazing! I dropped my mother off at the spa at 9:30am, then went to simply check on our room reservation. To my surprise they already had a room available for us! I was escorted to the elevators, found my room with ease and the bell hop was shortly behind me. The room was clean, spacious, modern and very comfortable. We spent the day poolside, with wonderful service and enjoyed the fish tacos and grouper sandwich. The next day we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast at Highball + Harvest then spent the rest of the day poolside again, only this time we enjoyed a cabana I had reserved. Definitely worth it! All employees were so very friendly, helpful and accommodating! The room and grounds were clean and just beautiful! The whole weekend was relaxing and luxurious. I definitely recommend staying here! I will be back!

Our room was beautiful. Our view from the balcony was glorious. The food was delicious. The hotel grounds are nothing short of amazing. What made this a five star experience for us was the concierge service. We were attending a conference at the J.W. Marriot which is a 6 minute walk from the Ritz-Carlton. The attention and care they gave us in shuttling us back and forth each day was very appreciated. The concierge team made our stay incredible and comfortable. They literally made us feel like royalty. What a great group of people who made all of the difference in the world regarding our stay! Bravo to this hotel!

We had an amazing weekend here. The service was too notch across the board. What an amazing find in Orlando, it feels like your miles away from everything but you are right in the middle of it all. Very close to Sea World and both of the main outlets. The Spa is a great getaway. If you go give yourself plenty of time to enjoy all the amenities including separate adult only pool. Also the spa store had great gift options and the lady working it was an esthetician and made some great product recommendations.

We scheduled a trip to Disneyworld, but we also scheduled a couple of days prior to going to the parks to just wind down from the trip and to enjoy Orlando. We wanted to stay away from the Disney resorts for the days before we were scheduled to go to the parks at Disney. This was the perfect place. The hotel is beautiful and clean. I usually have issues with valet being slow in hotels, but this staff was quick and professional. We did not have to wait long for anything. I did not want to leave, but we had to check into our Disney resort to go to the parks the following week. Although I also loved our Disney resort hotel, I missed the peace and quiet the Ritz offered. When we come back, I think this is going to be my hotel for the entire trip. Beautiful hotel, great staff, a few issues. No bottle opener - told front desk, never came. Bathroom door did not close, told front desk, never came to fix. T. V. didnt work, told front desk, never came. And electrical outlets didnt work for charging etc... The light would turn off once plugged in.... Told front desk (because sounded kinda dangerous), but you guessed it, no one came by. Like I said, beautiful hotel, friendly staff, but when you pay top dollar, some service or a dinner on the house would be nice.

This is my favorite place to rest, recharge and get away in Orlando. I love spending time here for my birthday. The staff are incredibly kind, professional and attentive, from the front desk and housekeeping, to room service and the pool locations. The grounds of the hotel are nice. The space is expensive in the lobby and pool areas. The walkways that connect the Ritz and Marriott are well maintained. If youre lucky you can catch a gator in the lake.The lazy river pool is nice but crowded and fills up early in the morning. If you want seats arrive as early as possible.The rooms feel a bit out dated in terms of decor. Definitely gives off a old Florida feel. Pretty standard with 2 queen beds, a TV, and coffee maker. The bathroom is quite large considering the size of the bedroom area.DO NOT order room service. It is absolutely horrible. I mean beyond bad. Pizza was undercooked and tasteless, chicken fingers were cold, and the chocolate cake was disgusting.

Luxurious well appointed rooms that look to have been recently refurbished. The ground are magnificent with lush tropical mature landscape. The staff are all very polite, helpful and service orientated as you would expect from a Ritz-Carlton property. Check in was very efficient and easy. The restaurants are good with the one exception being breakfast at the H&H restaurant.Just average for the pricr.I also feel like little kids shouldnt be allowed open access to the pool table unsupervised. The spa is top notch and the treatments were excellent. My only criticism is The Ritz kids program. Way to many unruly kids running around in lobby and restaurant areas while their parents just ignored them. The only reason I would hesitate to come again.

Great resort that isnt as crowded as the resorts at lake Buena Vista but is kid friendly enough. The spa and hair salon were fantastic. We definitely will stay here again during future Orlando trips. The reason I didnt give a 5 is that for some reason you have to call the front desk or spa 6 times before anyone answers the phone. Perhaps they were short staffed but it was annoying because we almost missed our flight trying to get in touch with the bell desk.

Fantastic hotel. Quick check-in. The room was nice. A very pretty property with many conference rooms. Pool is large, with a comfortable temperature and a deepest area of about 4 1/2 feet. Small playground was fun for the kids. They have a variety of things available to do, such as falconry. One of my children had a birthday, and they left some cupcakes and a teddy bear while we were out. Requested additional coffee cups...they were there in a flash with cups, coffee, tea, sugar, etc.Would definitely stay again

They went above and beyond in providing several unique options, and the outcome was more than I expected. The hotel, amenities and level of service made our stay one that we wont soon forget! Booked a standard room. Nothing out of the ordinary. I had an interview for a large healthcare group in the area. I was given a handicap room. I inquired about getting a standard room due to the short length closet, but was told there was nothing available. In the future I will ensure the hotel accommodates my needs. This hotel will be not considered for future bookings.

Over the past 15 years, stayed there a dozen times. Used to be very good, now infuriating.The best service in the place were the valet parking guys.The front desk people were nice, but had very little training.Billing was a nightmare.The property was mediocre. Courtyard is maintained better. We could hear the people next to usbrushing their teeth.The restaurant was completely understaffed and the people that were there were hiding in the kitchen, couldnt get a cup of coffee.Its Monday night, got back yesterday. Just spent 20 minutes on the phone with AMEX cleaning up the charges. The person at the hotel was clueless.THE HOTEL SUCKED!!!8/5/21 Ironically someone from management replied, apologized and went on to ask me to give them another try. (spend more money at their hotel)Not once did they offer to help me with the billing issues i listed in my review. Everything was amazing! The location, the hotel, the room, the pool and the service. Anyone I encountered went above and beyond to offer impeccable and kind service. The $7 fee to have something brought up to the room was the one thing I dont agree with. Guests are paying premium rates to stay here and I was annoyed by this fee. Other, less known, hotels dont even charge for this. Besides the one annoyance, I would not hesitate to stay here again. It is wonderful and peaceful.

Beautiful resort AWFUL SERVICE !!!!!They charged my card for everything, even though we had a room credit for more than what we spent …. charged us a $250 smoking fee, we don’t even smoke !!! When reaching out to customer service to get this fixed for the past two weeks, they have been NO HELP! I get transferred a million times and then ended up getting hung up on .

A blind man and a vegan walk into the Ritz Carlton....Sounds like a bad joke but its not lol. I am a vegan and my best friend is a blind man. There was not one vegan item on the menu (I am not a picky weird vegan, pasta and salad is fine by me) yet I managed to eat like a king the whole time I was there. My friend was treated with kindness and compassion, the staff were patience and friendly to him and as helpful as can be.One must understand when you are blind you have to life live with full trust on others, it is very scary to have to live this way. My friend chooses to stay at this Ritz because of the staff, he trusts them.The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, spacious, modern yet classic, just perfect all around.A wonderful place to stay while visiting Orlando or just for a nice staycation.Thank you to everyone at The Ritz for all their kindness and assistance.We will be seeing you guys again in the future!

The customer service here is too notch. The employees seem to genuinely want to help and solve any problems. They never seem rushed and if they don’t have the answer they will find out. My husband had to record his podcast but our room was too noisy, so they let him use an empty room for a couple of hours that was far away from everything. From check in to check out, every employee was gracious and is the reason we will be back. Thank you Ritz!

From the moment we drove up to the hotel, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. The front desk personnel were very friendly and made sure our kids were having fun. Hotel has been redesigned since I last visited. Very professional team and wonderful stay as always. I do want to publicly apologize for whistling at chad I believe was his name(the waiter working the pool). I didnt mean to be rude. Was just trying to get your attention as I grew up with whistling and I feel like it gets someones attention easily. I apologized to him and asked him why it bothered him. He gave me an honest answer and now Ive changed my mindset of doing such an act in the future. My act has been bothering me and I will make sure do not do such an act in the future.

Nothing special for a ritz. Looks and feels like a sheraton. This would barely scratch the surface of a 4 star hotel. The lobby is bare bones, the rooms are no larger than a typical sheraton and nothing about it screams Ritz. I’ll try the JW Marriott next door next time

I come here for the spa. The amenities are incredible and the staff is gracious and attentive. I love to come a few hours before my treatment to take advantage of the spa pool area. They provide your own personal cabana poolside, with wait staff to bring you anything your heart desires. It’s so wonderful and relaxing. My 2nd favorite part of the spa is the enormous steam room. I like to sit in here before I get my massage. I’ve been coming here for years and will continue to do so forever!

Crunchy stringy towels. NOT luxury quality at all. Never have I had these kinda towels except at off highway motels on road trips. I advise the hotel sort all towels and toss out consumed ones and/ or change detergent. Stained sheets are not OK when I pay this price per night. Even when the serviced the room I had the same sheets. Odd for a Ritz. Not comparable to other 5 star and even 4.5 star hotels I am used to staying at. Was shocked a bit honestly.

The Ritz-Carlton was beautiful but the service left a lot to be desired for the price. The highlights of the trip were the spa, and dinner at Knife & Spoon (amazing!) as well as Highball & Harvest. The pool towel attendants were very accommodating, as well.Unfortunately, we felt like it was not worth the money to stay on this property - in particular the service and staffing at Bleu and poolside was not good at all. The first day, it took almost half an hour to get a server to come to our table at Bleu and even longer to have food delivered, and even though we ordered only two (small) salads and two drinks, our bill was over $80. The staff seemed generally confused; the table next to us had to ask for water to be brought to their table 3 times before anyone helped them. Poolside was the same way - a lot of confusion over orders, drinks that did not taste good, and very long wait times. It would make sense to have a second bar area just for the pool so that people could self service so that its not dependent on having enough staff availability. The food on the resort was good but almost all of the drinks left a lot to be desired.In addition, we had some customer service hiccups before and during our trip. Before the trip, we received an email to contact guest relations via email for any questions/ requests we had - we did that but never received a response. Upon arriving to our room, we realized there were no robes. It took quite literally four requests (over the span of more than a day) to get a robe brought to our room; and it was only because my husband happened to find a housekeeper who was kind enough to assist us. Our calls to guest services/ the front desk were answered but nothing every came of those requests.I think there are a lot of kinks to be worked out with this hotel and, right now, I dont think the price we paid to stay and dine on property was reflective of the service or quality we received. Next time, we will consider staying somewhere else where we feel we get value for our money.

This used to be my all time favorite spa in Orlando, but it is certainly not the same experience anymore. They used to provide an amazing warm plush robe and now you get a short sleeve rough sheet type robe. All the spa amenities remain closed as well as all the other complimentary services. But the prices remain the same, for a completely different experience. It provides nothing more than massage envy at this point.

If you want to say you ate a $200.00 steak, you can do it here, but honestly youre better off just getting a filet and the alacarte stuff. We got the $200.00 Ribeye, and it was undercooked, slightly chewy, not quality marbled, and it came out cold. Prices are outrageous for small amounts of food, but thats what youd expect at true high end five star restaurants. Service and wine is phenomenal. Sides are way too small for price. Salads, bread, appetizers, and dessert was phenomenal as well. Wonderful place to eat, just have to order the right stuff!

The lack of Attention to guests is terrible. Called the front desk 3 times for water on the tennis courts and all three times they said they would come only to find out I was lied to after I drove back from the courts and went to the front desk and was told they were sorry and would drive right over to delivery water. Again no show. I have traveled all over the world and this by far is the worst service and experience I have ever encountered. Corporate may want to look at this property in Grand Lakes as it is tainting the Ritz’s so called amazing customer service. HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!!!

The restaurant H and H was sooo horrible we absolutely could not eat it. The fish was not cooked and it stunk. The chicken sandwich was so well done it was hard and like leather.This was not Ritz Carlton food.Biggest rip off. They definitely need new management.

Very nice and clean! The resort is beautiful, and the staff is extremely attentive and friendly. Beware - if you have a “foreign car” - you will NOT have to pay for valet. All “other” cars are charged a valet fee of $42 per day......

One of the best resorts!Great service from the moment we arrived, Valet (Juan), Reception (Ladies and gentlemen), Housekeeping Ladies, Restaurant (Breakfast) and the recreation team. We were assisted with Kayaking arrangements, bikes and everything we needed during our stay.Its a connected resort with the JW Marriott which gives more options to enjoy during the stay.Thank you Adil and team for the great stay and looking forward for a return in the near future.

Positive: Room and staff were great. Negative: Pool area is overcrowded and there is not enough staff working in this area for the amount of people there. By the end of the day, the side of the pool was covered in empty glasses, beer cans, and empty plates.

I simply love this spa! I continue to come here because I knew I will get great service!They have taken the proper precautions as we are still dealing with COVID. Masks are mandatory during services. The spa is located in the center of The Ritz and JW Marriott Hotels, but it is tucked away enough to feel the serenity and calmness that a spa offers. Great customer service by every spa employee.

The ritz-carlton grand lakes feels like the stuck up and suited up hotel the name implies, for vacationgoers with cash to spare. Its in contrast from the neighboring JW marriot, which feels almost strictly like a convention center for annual corporate meetings. The food is good but mostly expensive, and the carlton has the better pool for relaxing by far. The Lazy river by the marriot is better for drinking with friends or for familys with kids.

So, I have been here before Covid and it was absolutely fantastic. Plush long robe, steam, sauna, hot tub inside, great lounge and treatments! This time however was a completely different experience, I had a horrible time. None of the facilities mentioned above were available for use which is half the reason for going here, the robes are short, light and almost see-through and only the outside hot tub and pool are available for use. My appointment was booked over the phone so I had no idea these amenities were closed, the confirmation email specifically mentioned showing up early to enjoy these amenities. I mentioned this to the staff and they did offer 15% off which I thought was nice. The real kicker though was walking into my massage and getting ready only to be told I would have to wear a mask the entire time!! I was in shock because the massage starts face down, I felt like I couldn’t breathe not to mention I am also an asthmatic. I was fine once I was lying face up because I could get air but I left more stressed than when I came in. My visit was a huge disappointment and I feel like I was cheated, I mean a massage is not cheap here, I spent well over $200 on my visit! When checking out I mentioned not being informed of the mask rule during the massage and they really had nothing to say, huge letdown!! I would’ve never made an appointment here had I been made aware of these issues!
