We have honestly never met a more knowledgeable/ competent doctor. Our family has an extensive medical background and have suffered ñ through our share of neurological issues only to be told NOTHING prior to Dr.O! ,Im disabled and have had to deal with many types of doctors. Most are incompetent or just dont truly care to find out the actual diagnosis. These issues never seem to have been taken seriously prior to this Doctor!! He takes take that bit of extra patient care. We are now on our way to well-being and Dr.J.OConnell is a main contributing factor!! I/we HONESTLY believe that I am alive because of his extensive thoroughness Whether or not DR. JOHN OCONNELL, and the actual fact that he cares for each patient with dignity, follows through with you, via testing, etc. and does everything possible to find a trusted, honest diagnosis! Its also very convenient that he and his VERY COMPETENT STAFF that does in office procedures that they make as comfortable and convenient for the a patient! Ie: EMGs done by the doctor himself. I have been blessed will continue to remain in his care as will my daughter.If you TRULY want a caring, thorough neurologist for yourself or loved one, youre in the right spot!

He saved my life I been with him 5 years and he is one of the most humbled doctors I know and he always polite

Dr. OConnell seems to look at the whole picture. He asks you details of your life in casual conversation while examining you. I found him extremely caring, thorough, gentle.I highly recommend him.d I highly recommend this doctor this doctor

I read the reviews before my appointment and made sure all my insurance information was in proper order to prevent mishaps. I appreciate a physician who is caring, competent and precise. I dont need a doctor to dote on me... I do need to receive excellent quality care. Dr. OConnell has it all. Humor, warmth, pleasant, precise, competent, intelligent, efficient... I left his office feeling secure in the knowledge that I was in good hands and would be well taken care of. Such a relief after suffering injuries in an auto accident. I met other patients as I arrived and left... everyone loves him and raves about him. Too bad happy patients do not take the time to post reviews!

Dr. OConnell is very caring, knowledgeable, empathic and funny. His staff is always helpful with any questions I may have and they follow up with anything that is needed.

Took over as health care proxy for my Mom with Parkinsons. First and only visit with him with Mom and he never introduced himself, went over her disease/care or acknowledged my Mother when she spoke. Very cold person with no care for his patients. The billing is NOT done in the office. Good luck calling her. Called 4x in 2 weeks and still no call back. Called the main office to see if there was a way to reach her. They insured me they would send her a message. NOPE. Please do yourself a favor and find a Dr. who cares about his profession and his patients. Go back to Ireland.

Doctor OConnell cares deeply about his patients. I dont understand why people have rated him any less than a five star doctor. Perhaps they expect miracles or dont appreciate his honesty. Or possibly they have no sense of humor and dont comprehend his Irish wit.

Dr O’Connell gave me the correct medicine to get rid of my partial seizures. Also he has treated me with respect and even called me at home to answer a question I called his office.

Doctor is great in the other hand the billing lady is rude and there is no room for reasoning with the. She tried to charge me for a mistake she made.

Dr.OConnell and his staff have saved my life in many ways. He is very thorough and understand my EDS and has diagnosed correctly all of my seizure activity and non seizure activity! He has helped me with my neuropathy pain and severe migraines. I recommend him so highly, I referred my daughter to him!Well its three years later and he found and correctly diagnosed a problem with my daughters spine injury.URGENT UPDATE STILL 5 STAR PLUS!Our pcp told her she was depressed. I was his patient a long ass time ago, he spent 2 year (i HAVE A TBI SO THERE WAS A 50/50 CHANCE ID GET IT BUT NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THAT) aAfter I he screwed up every test.My seizure meds had a problem and I said fine what are you going to put me on. He said and Nothing, your seizure tests all came up negative so you dont have epiplepsy. What he did could arguably be considered malpractice. Thee EEG showed epileptic activity 2 years later. jackass
