DO NOT EVEN TRY TO BE SEEN HERE! I have been actively trying to be seen here since the 17th. Debbie kept telling me that they could not see me without a referral from my doctor because of my insurance. My doctors office said they sent in referrals several times and they also had a referral from Norman regional er. I even called my insurance, who said they DID NOT require a referral, and Debbie argued with me that they do. Stephanie, the office manager, also argued with me about needing a referral. Meanwhile, my infection is getting worse. If I end up losing this toe, I will be suing the pants off of them! I ended up calling Midwest City wound care and got an appointment. Unfortunately, they cant get me in until the 7th. Its terrifying thinking that I may lose a toe or even more just because of Debbie delaying the care that I desperately need. Please reconsider before using Norman wound care. I now refuse to go to any of Norman regional offices or hospital. They will NOT get 1 more penny from me or my insurance.ETA: Ive already talked to the patient liason and she did NOTHING for me! FYI, I was seen in Midwest city on the 7th and the infection is in the bone!! I had part of my toe, including bone, cut off that day! When I was in the er, the xray showed no infection, so Debbie delaying my care caused the infection to get in the bone. If youre reading this and youre a malpractice lawyer, please contact me! Its my username all together on Instagram.ETA: UPDATE: 10/11/21 Today my toe was amputated. Thank you Norman wound care and Debbie for delaying my care. Without you, I wouldnt know what its like to have joined the amputee club. Now that things will have slowed down and I wont have multiple doctor appointments every day trying to save the toe and trying to fight the MRSA infection, I will be actively calling lawyers until I find one that is willing to take my case. For those needing wound care, Dr. Gilmore at Midwest City wound care was amazing. She fought so hard for me with doctors trying to save the toe. From getting a cardiologist at ou to see me within 2 days to fighting with infectious disease to give me the treatment to try to kill the mrsa infection, to trying weekly to save my toe. Shes one hell of a doctor and if you can make the trip there to see her, I can promise shell do you right. Avoid Norman, unless you want to experience amputation as well.

People were nice until I call back to get answers. They need to treat people with respect. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. Horrible customer service skills. All doctors care about is if you have Covid so that they can make more money, otherwise you can just die.

My experience has been nothing but excellent. My first visit my nurses, Ashley and Donna, were perfect. Just enough professionalism and personality. My Doctor, Dr. Bacharach has been wonderful. She is gentle while working the wounds, she answers all my questions, and explains each progressive step in detail. Her nurse, Emily, was busy the first visit so not much interaction, but on the second visit she and another Nurse, Mark, took excellent care of me. I am pleased that Norman has the quality level of care available to us.

I appreciate the workers that care for my grandfather. What I do not appreciate is the rude associate named Dacey or Stacey that answered my call today to request a reschedule for my grandfather due to a family emergency. You could have been a bit more understanding and courteous. Instead you were cold and rude. Nor did you tell me the first time that I wouldnt hear back from the case manager same day. I had to call back to verify you had a call back number and you finally tell me. You need major improvement on your customer service skills. We are paying customers and you act like its the worst thing ever to need to cancel due to unforseen circumstances. We are doing the best we can with what resources we have.

Randomly decided to stop taking Soonercare patients, with ZERO notification, then one of the receptionists LIED TO ME and said-Soonercare no longer pays for outpatient wound care. Call your case worker and see if they can help you. After 3 HOURS of being shuffled around, having panic attacks because Im terrified of my husband DYING (like he almost has, TWICE) from no longer being able to get life saving treatment-I was told by Soonercare Provider Services that this was untrue, and they had no idea where they got this idea.Apparently SEVERAL clinics involved with Norman Regional Health System, have suddenly decided to stop seeing Soonercare patients. When I called to inform them that Soonercare DOES INDEED cover outpatient wound care, the story was changed-No, I told you that we are no longer accepting soonercare. If she had told me that, I wouldnt have spent 3 hours freaking out about my husband getting ANOTHER bone infection and losing MORE of his foot, or his life.My experience today was absolutely unacceptable. If you are no longer accepting soonercare patients, YOU NEED TO SAY IT THIS WAY, and dont try to make it seem like its Soonercares fault.

Updated reply:Ridiculous over pricing. This is whats wrong with health care. The issue is the outrageous price you charged me for 5 seconds of debriding which consisted of removing a tiny 5 mm scab that would have fallen off on its own in a day or two. $777 for the so called surgery is ridiculous in my opinion. This should have been included in the already overpriced Doctors visit. Removing a scab isnt a surgery....Im sorry its not.

We went to this place thinking that they care, but Im fact it was the opposite. The nurses were rude and they came off as racist. The nurses that were there didnt even introduce themselves nor did they let us know what kind of care they were going to provide. They came in the room just told my husband to sit and next thing he knew they lifted the chair higher. My husband was uncomfortable and the nurse didnt even care nor did she even ask. Were definitely not be going back.

Ive seen several patients who would probably have lost their legs if they had not gotten treatment at Oklahoma Wound Care.
