Love this neighborhood pharmacy. I feel much more comfortable that they continue masking, and in my experiences with them everyone is always helpful and competent. I happened on Joseph a few years ago when I was hit by a car as a pedestrian, seriously injured, and discharged from hospital on a major holiday without cane, crutches, braces etc. They had such ortho gear in store and delivered, on a holiday morning. I can’t imagine what I would have done otherwise. Chain pharmacies only had such equipment online in nyc and it would have taken at least a couple days after holiday!

Pharmacy is over worked and understaffed.Ive never been treated so poorly by a pharmacy. I have monthly prescriptions, 90 day refills, same meds month after month and they cant seem to get their act together. Stan was the best they had and he left, I guess he could not take it anymore and since then my standard orders were completely messed up. When I called, the woman who took over for Stan was totally unprofessional. She would over talk and not listen, at at the end would get the order messed up.I had enough and I finally left to a better pharmacy that gave me the respect I deserved. Weeks later, I get a call from the manager begging me to return, I said no way an explained what happened. They were apologetic but that does not remedy my years of grief. I guess the over 80K a year loss got their attention.

Their service is awesome and very prompt. They are all nice pharmacist to work with. They always wear a smile and greeted everyone politely. A very reliable and helpful drug store. I highly recommend them to everyone. Thank you so much for being so warm with your customers.

The pharmacist was so helpful and even gave me tips in order for me to lessen my headaches! I was looking for a medicine that would cure my headache, good thing I found this drug store. I am so satisfied with the service they provided!

They advertise a shampoo in the window and when I go to purchase it is 2.5 x the price because it is not the exact same Suave shampoo. Then I give a very very slow unfriendly woman a $10 bill and she very slowly checks to make sure it is a valid bill. And when I mention that it is only $10 she shows me her complete lack of customer service skills. I will stay with CVS.

Recently switched from a mail -order company to Josephs pharmacy. With the mail order, there was always an issue with the medication- by the time I got a live person on the phone, I usually didnt even need the medication anymore and they were without fail unhelpful when someone finally came to the phone.Josephs pharmacy is absolutely amazing! The personalized service is second to none. The pharmacists are available whenever you call and are extremely knowledgeable. They are courteous, fast, take care of all the prior authorizations. They are so friendly and put me at ease. I have dealt with pharmacist Meryl on numerous occasions. She goes above and beyond- I feel as though I have my own personal pharmacist! Deliveries are always done that day or the following. Highly recommended to EVERYONE in the NYC area!!!!!

A full service pharmacy with a helpful staff!

I recently discovered this boutique pharmacy on the UWS and was super impressed! The staff, especially Meryl, are sweet, helpful, super knowledgeable, and treat you like a real human being (unlike some of the other big box pharmacies in the area)! Prices are affordable and the place is clean and organized. Would highly recommend switching to anyone who wants personalized care and attention.

Hands down the best pharmacy, pharmacists, and customer service in filling medical prescriptions in NYC I have ever used. Since I have chronic issues and fill prescriptions all the time and have been to MANY other pharmacies, I know whats out there. They answer the phone, fill prescriptions online or in-person, deliver, and most importantly are responsive, reliable and quick.I needed a last minute medication on a Friday and the doctor sent it in late, and it was delivered to me within a few hours, automatically, with no effort on my part. Having dealt with a lot of chain pharmacies...they will eventually have mistakes, and you will waste lots of time trying to reach a human and then more time waiting to hear back, etc. Not so here.Highly recommend them for any prescriptions needs. Especially if you want to save time, have stuff delivered, and be able to reach them on the phone on occasion to fix something when your insurance messes something up.

I am posting a revised review in order to update my previous review which was highly critical. Since then pharmacy management has reached out to me, my MD, and Medicare, and going above and beyond the call of duty, has resolved the issues and is now able to fill my Rx. This was excellent customer service and problem solving. I am now a very satisfied customer!

Joseph Pharmacy is one of New Yorks best kept secrets.Their warm and personal service makes all of New York seem like a small town....or maybe more like the old New York I grew up in back in the 1950s.Thanks for the great service Joseph. The number one all time best. I think Omar and his amazing agility when it comes to the ever-changing Rx needs of my mother has essentially kept her alive and well. ! We love Josephs. Nothing like them around.

Excellent, efficient, accommodating staff. Needed to get Shingrix vaccine which was not available from my doctor or at the many CVS Pharmacies I tried. Although there is a shortage, I was able to get it at this small neighborhood pharmacy, for which I was grateful.

Best pharmacy: Once I called to have medicine delivered. Store said the delivery person just left. Another delivery would be in 3 hours. I told Joseph Pharmacy how uncomfortable I was. They immediately sent out another person to deliver the medicine to me. Try that with a Duane Reade or a CVS.People there always sincerely helpful. Also, 10% discount at all times for senior citizens.

After 30 years of using Apthorp Pharmacy, which is right across the street from me, I switched to Josephs Pharmacy.I never had needed a delivery from Aprhorp, but one day I did. Had very high temperature and was quite sick. Medication was called just after they opened, and I also called and called and called. It was after six that my meds were delivered. As it is a doorman bldg, and I was a customer for such a long time, someone could have dropped it off with my doormanI changed and am now seven blocks away and all many meds get delivered with free same day service. They are also helpful and set up a program to help the clients deal with the difficult yearly choice concerning your insurance company for your medications. Free of Charge. They are helpful and take their time with questions. I recommend them highly.

Pricing here is much better than at the CVS or Duane Reade establishments that are within several blocks.
