Had a very smooth experience taking my wisdom teeth out here. Both the doctor and the staff are extremely friendly and communicate every step of the process to you. Doctor really seems like she cares, made sure I was comfortable during and after the surgery and even called me at the end of the day to ask how I was feeling post-extraction. The office was easy to find and super accessible. Easy 5 stars!

I had a dental emergency and was able to make an appointment here right away. The admin was very efficient to get all the insurance info ready for me when I arrived only a few hours later. I’ve had issues with clenching for years to the point that I broke my night guard in less than a year. I had terrible soreness and pain when eating and speaking. Dr Mahjoubi did Botox in my masseter muscle and since then it’s been like night and day. 1000% would recommend

Had my wisdom tooth extractions done here and I completely regret it. Had a terrible post op experience where I was consistently in pain and she did not provide the necessary post op education or the oral syringe to help me flush out my incision which is what I needed for pain until I went back to her for the syringe she should have provided immediately after surgery. She was unhelpful and I would not recommend going here.

Having your dentist tell you that your root canal has failed and that you now require an extraction is not a fun conversation. And to be honest, the series of procedures that one must undergo is fairly daunting. Thankfully, I was directed to Dr. Mahjoubi of Upper East Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Her bedside manner greatly diminished my stress, and now that Ive undergone two of the four surgeries, I can say with full confidence that she is very good at her job. My recovery times have been shorter than expected, with zero complications. Its heartening to know that should I have future dental issues that require going under the knife, I have Dr. Mahjoubi to turn to.

Dr. Mahjoubi was very professional in explaining the different options I had with regards to my wisdom teeth extractions. Her staff was also friendly and helpful, making it easier for me to mentally prepare for the surgery. I had a lot of questions and they were all addressed beforehand.I technically needed just 1 wisdom tooth extraction, but after I got educated and more informed on long-term implications, I chose to have 3 extractions and 1 coronectomy as well as a tongue procedure (frenectomy) done all at once. I’m glad I was put to sleep during the procedure, as the entire surgery lasted about 90 minutes. It was a difficult recovery about 2 weeks during which Dr. Mahjoubi checked in on me to see how my healing progress was going. Now I’m feeling great and I’m fully recovered. Glad I trusted a team of professionals and want to say a big thank you to Dr. Mahjoubi and her staff for helping get over this necessary hump.

Came here for oral surgery to remove my wisdom teeth and the staff and doctor were so amazing and accommodating. The doctor even called me an hour after the surgery to make sure I got home and was feeling okay. Cannot recommend enough.

*Update to their response:No, Im not fake. I contacted your office today to schedule an appointment. Your receptionist, as I wrote, refused to contact my insurance and told me its better if Ill schedule to someone else. So of course Im not a patient, how can I be a patient if I cannot schedule? (and I saw another review with the same issue, I wonder how many patients you lose because of that).I cannot recommend this place. Was unable to even schedule because their secretary apparently does not know her job and refused to contact my insurance to verify they accept my insurance (which they do). A waste of time and horrible waiting music.

My experience with Dr Mahjoubi and everyone in the office at this practice was incredible. Everyone from the front desk staff to the nurses were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and caring. Considering the intensity of having all 4 wisdom teeth removed at once, getting the procedure done here was such a pleasant and seamless experience. I was cared for well after my procedure and recovered incredibly quickly due to the precision and expertise Dr Mahjoubi completed the surgery with.They were also great when working with my insurance to be sure the procedure was affordable for me with my plan. Came in for extraction, took a moment to get medicated and out it came about a inch of infected root. But little pressure not pain and a stitch or two and great.

I had a very pleasant experience. Dr Ghazal was very kind, she passionately explained the whole procedure in advance and made me feel safe. I have to mention the clinic was VERY clean and they take all the needed precautions to insure they are Covid protective. And the best part was how they ease some anxiety by playing some relaxing music in the background.

Herself as well as her staff are just so kind and caring and go the extra mile to make sure all your questions and concerns are addressed.I am a very anxious person, especially when it comes to anything dental. My consultation went smoothly and Dr. Mahjoubi took her time to speak with me and ease my concerns about the wisdom teeth extraction. Before I knew it, I had the procedure scheduled a week out and let me tell you, I was nervous.The procedure went super smooth. They attach a BP cuff, EKG and nasal cannula to allow for better oxygen flow (amazing, right?) and the sedation was a breeze. I blinked and I was on my feet headed home. Dr. Mahjoubi gave me a call a few hours later to check in on me and was available by cell phone for any concerns I may have. She even sent my prescriptions to a different pharmacy that night as per my request.I recovered in no time, and I give her all the credit as I was in minimal discomfort, needing nothing more than ibuprofen. I simply cannot recommend Dr. Mahjoubi’s office enough. Shout out to her front desk staff, especially Daniel, for answering all of my insurance questions as well. And the assistant for being comforting and an awesome person too!I’ve already sent a friend of mine to be seen here as I cannot believe how easy this whole process was. Go here if you can!

Theres not enough words to share how wonderful my experience with Dr. Mahjoubi has been so far. I was referred to her at random in an emergency situation that was discovered by my regular dentist. Dr. Mahjoubis office staff snapped into action and got me an appointment to see her less than 24 hours later. Her staff are absolutely wonderful, and their sincere smiles shine through even though everyone is fully masked.COVID precautions are being followed closely at this office. Every aspect of the office is meticulously clean, all equipment stays in sanitary packaging until the last possible moment, social distancing is strictly (ablbeit kindly) enforced, and I had no concerns whatsoever about having my mask off for the procedure because everything felt so safe and clean.Dr. Mahjoubi herself is wonderful. She doesnt waste time but doesnt rush through things either. Shes warm, friendly, and really knows her stuff! I came to her in a bit of a pickle and she was able to get up to speed on my case and get me all sorted out in under an hour. I felt comfortable asking specific and technical questions and got clear and concise answers to all of them. Theres no procedure-pushing-for-financial-gain here! Lots of reviews seem to indicate great patient loyalty, and after two visits its not hard to see why!

I saw Dr Mahjoubi for a wisdom tooth extraction. It takes a lot to numb me and she was super patient during the time it took. The extraction was so quick and clean - I needed ibuprofen for a single day then I was pain-free after that. So impressed.I saw my regular dentist today (one week later) who said he was really impressed at how well and quickly it had healed. I would go back if I ever needed more teeth removed.

I had an amazing experience with this practice . I called Dr Mahjoubi at almost 20 weeks pregnant in need of a molar extraction. I was full of nerves and she was patient and kind and was even able to speak with me over the phone prior to my visit. When I came in for my procedure the office staff were incredibly attentive and warm. They adhere to strict Covid safety regulations which immediately put me at ease.Throughout my visit Dr Mahajoubi was attentive and kind. She took the time to carefully explain the procedure to me and was totally in tune with me throughout the process. I did not feel any discomfort at all. Following the procedure I was delightfully surprised to receive a personal message from Dr Mahjoubi checking in on me. She is a phenomenal surgeon with a bedside manner that is difficult to come by. I would give her 10 stars if that were an option!

I was having a lot of pain in my wisdom tooth and Dr. Mahjoubi was able to schedule an extraction the very next day. Very fast process with seamless recovery. She made it as pleasant as possible. This was also during the pandemic and the office took every necessary precaution to make me comfortable that they were being safe (temperature checks on entry, I was the only one in the office at the time). When my insurance covered more of the procedure than expected, they even got in touch with me to offer a refund which was very honest and kind of them. Ive never had a doctor do this before. I had been putting off getting my wisdom teeth removed for years but finally had to get them taken out and was so thankful I went to Dr. Mahjoubi. Everyone there was really great when I was nervous and they had very peaceful music which was nice while things where getting ready. I went to Dr. Mahjoubi to have my wisdom tooth removed. My dentist said my wisdom tooth was near the nerve so there is risk of numbness on the lip, tongue and jaw if the nerve got injured during the procedure. I was referred to Dr. Mahjoubi by my dentist and she also let me know about the risk during my first visit. I was nervous at the beginning, but she seemed very confident so I didn’t ask a lot of questions. It turned out the procedure was quick, successful and painless. Dr. Mahjoubi is indeed a skillful surgeon. My nerves are fine and the healing process is quick. Also, the staffs were nice and very helpful, especially Daniel. He is patient and communicative. He helped me with my insurance issues and let every cost transparent. Definitely recommend!

I do not even know where to begin with this office and their lack of professionalism.... I got all 4 wisdom teeth removed last August. One of them had to be a coronectomy (more $ out of pocket & has to go through medical insurance). I paid what was an astronomical price to begin with, using what was left from my FSA and the rest out of pocket. It is now FEBRUARY, and I still have not been able to get in contact with anyone in this office. My claim got denied through my FSA, and all I need to do is give the office my medical insurance info so they can send a claim to them, then get my dental insurance to cover the rest. I have either not been able to get in contact with them or told that they will call me back (which has not happened). Not to mention - their voicemail box is full so I’m unable to leave a message. This has gone on for 6 months now. My dental insurance has told me that I should be getting money back since they cover a lot more than I thought, but they are just waiting for the office to submit my claims. The office has yet to do anything. I hate to assume that the office just wants to keep the extra money, but that is exactly what it seems like since they’ve made it impossible to take a 5 minute phone call. I am now getting charged almost $700 from my FSA because I cannot get in contact with anyone in this office.I was skeptical initially with them because of how much I had to pay out of pocket. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt since they did their best to try to explain how they would handle my claims. Now I have no other choice but to believe they’re simply crooks who are absolutely incompetent in dealing with their patients post-op since they got their money..

I visited Dr Mahjoubi’s office today and met her for the first time. She is a wonderful surgeon, very kind and extremely professional. And she has a wonderful staff team as well. Highly, highly recommend if you are looking for a great oral surgeon!

I got my wisdom teeth removed Early August and was told that I had to pay certain amount out of pocket that my insurance provider was not going to cover. I was called a week later after my procedure and was told that my insurance provider covered more than half of the amount that they charged me. Its been 3 months since the procedure and have had to call them multiple times for them to refund me hundreds of dollars they overcharged me on the credit card I use to cover the huge out of pocket expense. My insurance provider paid the office electronically back in august. Even though the wisdom teeth extraction surgery went fine. I am still stuck with this fee. Please be careful and call your insurance provider yourself, to get the actual amount you have to pay out of pocket. The office did a terrible job at managing this, and I am stuck paying the credit card, so that it does not ruin my credit.

This place is trash and so are the people that work here.The gave ny family an appointment and they never confirmed via email or phone.Since they made a mistake booking my appointment I had to wait for hours before I was seen by a dentist.The staff here demonstrated a complete lack of respect for my time. Their incompetence and lack of professionalism is not only pathetic but repugnant.This place is garbage. For what you will pay you are better off going somewhere else.P.S I am the principal on the insurance and I have a right to review my family’s experience with this place.

I am truly surprised by the high reviews this office has when my experience lacked any professional customer service.I was given the wrong appointment date. Despite making an error, I was assured I would be seen “soon”, and still had to wait for hours. I felt like the admin had little regard for my time as I sat there twiddling my thumbs. I would have preferred to be sent home with a new appointment instead of being lead on.I do not feel comfortable spending my money here any longer, find somewhere else.

Definitely recommend. The staff and Dr. are great. I felt welcomed and comfortable. I had my top two wisdom teeth removed with local anesthesia. I felt no pain just a little pulling and I was done in 2 minutes. Took pain killers once, right after the anesthesia wore off and I have been fine ever since. I have heard and read wisdom tooth removal horror stories just glad mine is not one of them. The reviews are definitely accurate.

I came across Dr. Mahjoubis practice online. From the moment I called the experience was utterly professional. I was given an appointment that suited my schedule and the office checked my insurance coverage before they called me back. In my physical pain of the wisdom tooth and anguish to find an oral surgeon that was within network, receiving such a thoughtful phone call was very appreciated and I was sure that my wisdom tooth extraction would be in great hands.Check in process was very prompt and efficient and every part of the waiting room was clean and well taken care of. I was also explained the sequence of the procedure, which made me feel a little more comfortable.The dental assistant was very methodical and meticulous with every little detail in the room, which was also spotless, and at nay point she would respond to any question that I had.They used a state of art scanning machine to take my Xrays and the assistant took every safety step religiously.During the whole procedure, Dr. Mahjoubi displayed excellent command and bedside manner. Though it was a difficult extraction, with my wisdom tooth bent on the side and attacking the tooth next to it, Dr. Mahjoubi and her assistant made it as painless as possible.After the tooth was extracted they explained very well what I should be doing post procedure and scheduled a follow up appointment instantly.I am very happy to have been taken care of by a team of such professionals.

AVOID !!!!.....horrible experience, unprofessional and waste of time here.Very unprofessional office and practice.....I visited the doctor 1 month ago....and I had some basic follow-up questions which I both emailed and called about. Never received an email reply even though they did have my email address which they accepted my referral through initially. Every time I tried calling they would hang up the phone. (this occurred 3 times!) The doctor seemed like she was in a big hurry when she saw me as I was asking her basic questions about operation. All I needed is one wisdom tooth extracted but she said all 4 need to be taken out....???? That is just another way for her to make more money isnt it?Now .....why in the world would I want anything to do with this doctor and office?Of course I went elsewhere to get my tooth removed which turned out to be an amazing experience.RESPONSE TO OWNER BELOW: Of course I have the right doctor, this is not rocket science. You can deny all you can ......but this will not change my right to rate the horrible experience I had.

I had 7 teeth pulled out about 3 weeks ago, and Dr. Mahjoubi was fantastic. She was very patient and answered all my questions. She put me at ease and I felt like I could really trust her. The healing was very fast, which was quite impressive too.

Dr. Mahjoubi is such an amazing oral surgeon!! I went into her office to have all four wisdom teeth removed and she was so careful and precise!! I had my wisdom teeth taken out in multiple visits, but left each time in almost no pain!! I was so worried going into the procedures, but Dr. Mahjoubi always made me feel calm and in good hands. She is so skilled at her work, that when she took out the bottom teeth and stitched me up, it was so well done, that I couldnt even tell she operated at all!! She has great bed side manner and is by far one of my favorites in the city!!

Dr. Mahjoubi made the entire experience so easy and as pleasant as removing four wisdom teeth could possibly be. Everything went smoothly. I never had more than a couple minute wait during the three appointments I had, the extractions/coronectomies took about an hour, and all four healed very nicely, with much less pain than I had dared hope. I cannot recommend this practice enough.

Absolutely loved visiting Dr. Majoubis office. Her whole office is state of the art. The X-ray machine is as well which helps to not have a thousand tabs on your mouth and picture of each individual section of it. Just one around your head scan and done. When she extracted my two wisdom teeth she literally took no more than 5 minutes. It took longer for the anesthesia to kick in than it took for the extraction. She makes the nightmare dissipate quickly. She and her staff members also make you feel at home, always striking conversation with you or even their staff for that matter so you feel comfortable. I loved that distraction. Very professional, and very fast work throughout. A++

I made an urgent appointment to due to wisdom teeth pain and despite COVID-19 she was willing to see me right away as I told her office I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Mahjoubi removed the tooth causing the pain / infection and was very professional regarding the entire procedure. She explained the process in depth and made me feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend Dr. Mahjoubi! She is very caring and a highly skilled oral surgeon!

Extremely clean environment and awesome staff! I had my four wisdom teeth extraction here. The surgery was quick and smooth. I felt nothing during the surgery, and experienced very little pain and swelling after the surgery. Also I had two follow-up appointments which were free. In general, Dr.Mahjoubi and the staff are very caring for patients and very professional. Highly recommend!

I have seen Doctor Mahjoubi for a few different procedures. Both medical and beauty. Her office is immaculate. Very friendly staff. No wait time. She is fast, professional and very gentle. She takes the time to explain everything step by step and listens and addresses concerns and questions and concerns with utmost patience. First ever mouth surgery was done here, was nervous but the facility is full of the best equipment and staff very professional. everything done successfully and healed perfectly. Also the cost was much lower after it went through my insurance compared to other places.

I came to Dr. Mahjoubi having been referred. I had a tooth that couldnt be saved after getting infected. She and her staff have amazing bed side manner. I mean amazing!! They calmed all my fears and answered all of my questions. The office is so warm and inviting. The day i had to get my tooth pulled my fears got the best of me. While the actual sounds of extracting a tooth, cleaning an infection, and putting in a bone graft aren’t pleasant the recovery was very pleasant. I was fine the next day. And never really had visible swelling. And the procedure was in an out. I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. I will continue to refer her to my friends and family and will only come to her if I need a tooth pulled. That’s for sure!

I went to see Dr. Mahjoubi after I seen a different dentist for a problem in my wisdom teeth. I wasnt sure he was the right person to treat me, so I was looking for oral surgeon to do the treatment. luckily I got to Dr. Mahjoubi, who been beyond amazing and professional! I was scared from the treatment, since the situation of COVID19 didnt allow me to bring anyone with me. My problem was serious and I needed an emergency surgery. Dr. Mahjoubi calm me down the entire time, explained me in detail what and how she is going to do it, and helped me get through this easily. Honestly? I didnt felt any pain, just pressure as she said. She was nice and fair during this all time, and Im happy I went to see her and no one else. I recommend only her for any oral surgeon problem!

Dr. Mahjoubi was excellent - I had to get all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. I was nervous about losing feeling in a nerve that one tooth was laying on and when I asked, she said she had no issue cutting the tooth down rather than removing completely.There were no complications and a week later I was pretty much back to normal.Her entire team was accommodating, Elizabeth was very helpful in answering all of my questions and never lost patience.Great experience overall.

Saw Dr. Mahjoubi, and got all 4 wisdom teeth extracted. I expected it to be worse, but after a couple days I felt good! Awesome staff (s/o to the front desk for the jhene aiko music) Up to date facilities was able to offer me IV sedation in the office for my procedure. Professional front desk staff. The dental assistants were so nice and the MD was very personable. Would recommend this practice to any one considering dental work!

Hands down the best oral surgeon anyone can ever have. A wisdom tooth removal surgery is one of the hardest and most painful experiences someone can endure, but if I were to do it all over again, Id go back to Dr. Mahjoubis office in a heartbeat. Her assistants and office staff were very polite and a pleasure to interact with.---I was referred to Dr. Mahjoubi by Dr. Lisa Tran when it was discovered that a tooth in my lower jaw where an old root canal was performed (by another doctor) was found to have deteriorated. It was thought that an apicoectomy (~ gum surgery) would be needed. The area was infected and near a nerve in my lower jaw.After consulting Dr. Mahjoubi and a 3D (CT) scan, she recommended a dental implant would be the best course of action for lasting success. She was comprehensive in her approach and took time to thoroughly explain my options and the process.Dr. Mahjoubi worked incredibly efficiently and was able to do my work prior to getting a crown in just two visits total, including the initial consultation. On the first visit my tooth was extracted in under 30 minutes. I wouldnt say shes the most gentle doctor Ive ever had but she was gentle enough. I experienced surprisingly minimal pain and discomfort and it was by far the best tooth extraction Ive ever had done. She had great bedside manner and personally followed up with me via text.She finished my first visit with a bone graft and sutures. The second visit she installed the titanium implant, and to my surprise, with practically no pain.I dont plan on any new surgeries, but Id gladly return to Dr. Mahjoubi.

Dr. Mahjoubi was amazing! Made an appointment to get a mucocele, which had been bothering me for the large part of a month, removed and the procedure went better than I could have imagined. The most awesome oral surgeon in the upper east area!I was concerned regarding my impacted wisdom tooth extraction last year, as I was in my Second Trimester. I changed my Dentist (as he didnt seem confident himself with my extraction, I felt uncomfortable) and did a good research thats how I found Dr. Mahjoubi. After reading the reviews and her bio, I scheduled my visit.I was well informed about the expenses from her staff. During consultation she made me really comfortable, made sure to take a consent letter from my Ob.Gyn.The extraction lasted literally 10 minutes and I was done. Had minor pain, absolutely didnt feel the need to take pain killers (as she had assured I wont need any).Got another wisdom tooth removed yesterday. Totally a great experience again. I will definitely get my bottom ones extracted from her soon.I would totally recommend her to any one who is petrified of dentist like me. :)

Dr. Mahjoubi having been referred by my dentist.Ofice is sparkly clean Dr. Mahjoubi is very kind and fast which was the most important during the implant surgery removal she did on me.On top of implants removal bone crafting was performed with PRP technic which was amazing.Im still recovering with minor swelling, but no pain. I took only two pain killers mostly to prevent swelling, not because I had pain.Only one downside is out-of-pocket charges they are taking and its very high!!! I was covered by my insurance 100% with both procedures, but I was asked on the day of the surgery to pay $720 which I still dont understand.Will find out soon!

I had wisdom teeth surgery done at a clinic outside of the state, and when I noticed I had an infection from my surgery I had to find an oral surgeon in NYC stat to take care it. Thank goodness Dr. Mahjoubi and her office were so accommodating and agreed to see me and take care of the infection that same day! This is the best experience Ive ever had at a medical clinic, especially within NYC. Couldnt recommend her and her office enough for any oral surgery issues that arise!
