Dr. Anastassov and the staff at the place were amazing. They were welcoming and friendly. I got my wisdom teeth removed and the procedure was very smooth. I had little to almost no pain within 2 days, only having to take a few painkillers. No complications arose from the procedure and I have had a full recovery. Dr. Anastassov offered a follow up checkup appointment and also any number of appointments after regarding any pain that arose with the surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Anastassov and would 100% go back to him next time if ever needed.

I actually just had buccal fat removal surgery done here in may and wow 🤩 what an experience. I’m so glad I took the leap forward and booked with Dr.Anastassov. I was pretty nervous at first but from the process of consultations to the actual surgery date a week later but thank God everything went wonderfully. The Doctor and staff (Mary & Janika) were very informative and made the experience so convenient, comforting and I am just in love with the amazing results. Usually I dont write online reviews at all, but I had to share my great experience with Dr. George Anastassov and his staff.Originally, I was looking for surgeons specialized in paranasal implants to create the mid-facial augmentation effects that Le Fort I would. After weeks of online research, I came across his name. Then, I read his credentials, articles and reviews, and scheduled a consultation.In our first meeting, we spoke a lot and it was quite an education for me on the correlation between the maxillofacial complex and facial aesthetics. He listened to all my concerns and gave me all the options along his personal recommendation of which procedure would be the best one to achieve what I had in mind. After been a little hesitant, I embraced his recommendation and instead of having paranasal implants, I ended up having upper jaw surgery to move my maxilla downward and a little forward. I cannot recommend this practice enough. I had two badly decayed top wisdom teeth and Dr. Anastassov and Yanikah booked me same day I called, extracted the two teeth and sent me on my way all within 90 minutes. Dr Anastassov performed two surgeries on my jaw, the first to allow a degree of healing, the second to complete the reconstruction of my jaw. Throughout the procedures, I was treated with the utmost care and kindness by all his staff, as well as his colleagues in the operating theater during both operations. I experienced virtually no pain, and no complications. Convalescence was fast and painless. As soon as I arrived to this surgical practice, I was made to feel comfortable and put at ease. The vibe of the office, interestingly with a view of St. Patricks Cathedral when looking out of the surgical rooms full wall of windows, feels more like a European boutique hotel than a doctors office; and, even though there were a million other things Id rather have been doing, Dr. Anastassov and his entire staff made it as nice as oral surgery can be. I was there for an emergency double extraction and thought that I was going to be asleep for it. I learned that although this was possible, that the anesthesiologist had left for the day, and that under normal circumstances my procedure was typically done with only local anesthesia. Before I could freak out, the technician who was taking a 3-D scan of my jaw and skull (which was a really cool piece of equipment that put me at ease to know that nightmares I had heard about exposed nerves being disturbed, were put to rest instantly), talked me down off the ledge and assured me that if after speaking to the surgeon, Dr. Anasstosov, if I still wasnt ready to do the procedure, that I could do it the next day when both doctors were there.Once I met Dr. Anastassov, he assured me that I would not feel anything at all, and he went out of his way to make sure we built a good rapport. He proceeded to distract me with his warmth and a healthy sense of humor while he did an extremely thorough intake. The intake of my medical history was interspersed with some appropriate anecdotes on both sides, and his extremely professional mannerisms showed just the right amount of tenderness and concise information, in his delivery. In short, he took his time with me and by the end of doing so, I was ready to have the surgical procedure. As promised, I was completely numb throughout the duration of what turned out to be roughly fifteen minutes of two extractions and the scaling and cleaning of soft tissue abscesses. He finished the procedure with the placement of of a few dissolvable stitches. I have a small mouth and the dental assistant was aware of this and made sure she kept my mouth comfortable with the re-application of vaseline and plenty of water flushing in and suctioned out throughout. The two worked in harmony and it was clear that they both had a great deal of respect for one another as well as their patient (me). Following the procedure, everyone was very supportive and gave me clear instructions for the post-surgical care. They called ahead to make sure my prescriptions were waiting for me at my local pharmacy, and followed up by calling me early the next day to check in with me.I do want to add also the following regarding the pre-visit and financial end of the surgery: I was referred to Dr. Anastassov for an emergency surgical procedure by my regular dentist last week at 4:45 PM on a Wednesday. By 5:30 PM the same evening I received a call back from Dr. Anastassovs staff telling me I could have the procedure the next day and took my basic information over the phone. Because I have insurance as a NYC employee, a lot of my information is readily available through the databases, however, because I was out of network for this oral surgeon, I had worries about getting everything covered in time for the following days procedure. Despite not being in network, the office staff worked with me to make sure I wouldnt be stressed out about the financial end of the procedure. When I got there, they had everything ready for me and found a way for me to cover the out of pocket expenses without interest, and without my having to take an unexpected financial hit. Following that, from beginning to end, I felt well taken care of by the surgeon and his staff.I recommend using this surgeon for any reason that brings you in need of them. I assure you, you will be well taken care of, and respected throughout the entire process.

I had buccal fat removal procedure to correct my baby-face look. I am so happy with the results! I finally got defined, high-bone cheeks that i dreamed about. Although i am extremely pain fearful, the procedure was comfortably done using local anesthesia. I felt nothing. The recovery process was short and the swelling minimal. 5 months past - my cheeks cant be more aristocratic... Highly recommend Dr. Anastassov - he creates pure magic!

Damaged the nerve during the surgery. He was very wrong about the recovery period, made me sign a consent form few minutes before the surgery and extracted teeth which he did not mention during the consultation. He severely underestimated length of the surgery. His staff was wrong about charges covered by insurance.If I had known all this before I wouldnt have gone to him.
