The best NON painful bikini wax I’ve ever had. I’m not kidding. Jessie is an absolute godsend. I’ve never had a wax that I didn’t dread. She was so kind and gentle and I just had the most wonderful experience with her.

They ruined my face. Avoid this place at all costs. No real esthetician would go as rough as they did, leaving scars and bleeding marks. So unprofessional and inexperienced. You’ll come out with a worse face than the one you went in with and will end up paying more money afterwards to get the damage repaired. AVOID THEM.

This place is so amazing. I had the pleasure to have my facial done by the one and only Tina. She was absolutely thorough with me. She examined my skin and let me know what steps that she will be taking. The facial massage was accompanied by some shoulders work as well.I have slight insomnia and Tina’s hands put me right to sleep! What I liked about her was she asked me about the temperature of the room. A lot of spas like it really cold whereas I like it warm just because I’m anemic. She has gifted hands.Everyone at the spa were delightful by the way. The receptionist was super friendly and efficient. I had such a great experience I decided to make it home. I’ll definitely will be getting routine facials here from now on.

I did not have a good experience the esthetician was polite however she did not do a good job on my face. I came with three pimples on my face and she didn’t not extract them at all. I still have the pimples on my face. Also she used PCA products on my skin when i specifically asked for eminence products. I went home with my face red and overly dry and peeling for over 7 days i called and emailed and they offered no support besides a free hydration facial and refused to refund me my money . 8 days later i still have three large pimples on my face that i am managing on my own as my only reason for going was for the extractions and my face is still dry... I do not recommend this place .

I have been going to Yoyo for about 10Yrs. Before skn spa she worked in Brooklyn. She is amazing..your skin will be glowing and youthful. I like that she recommends products to help in between facials, also front desk staff are very kind and informative on products as well. You definitely will not be disappointed if choosing this spa and aesthetician Yoyo. You will leave feeling rejuvenated and receive lots of compliments on your skin!

She listened to my concerns and what I looked to achieve carefully and patiently. She is full of knowledge and humble. She understands me very well.She did a great job and I bought a package of 5 facials immediately after my facial. I so look forward to my next facial.Again, YoYo, you rock. Thank you so much!!

The staff are very friendly, and the place is so clean! I thought it was a new store but turns out they just keep it super clean. I had the hydrobrasion facial. It was so relaxing and my lady, Sylvia was super helpful in answering my questions and just keeping me company. Compared to most spas, the extractions done here are less painful. I definitely recommend this place. After coming here once, I couldn’t help but buy a facial package with them.

This place is a true gem. Not only is it beautiful and clean, I always feel the staff is on top of their game and very polite. Its a wonderful place and not too expensive.Totally recommending it for facials and massages that Ive tried. Go you will feel pampered. Oh and I love the automatic heated bathroom, its a treat!!

I got a 75 minute facial with a Groupon offer.The results were great. very clean and relaxing place.I wouldnt get the facial that included extraction though. it hurt and she didnt extract my pimples completely.Overall good for just a facial.

I came to this spa for a facial because I bought a deal on gilt. I had to wait a while to be seen, but they spent a lot of time with me. The entire staff was really friendly and nice. The waiting area was nice, and the appointment room itself was a bit crowded, but it didnt really bother me. They did a great job and if you book a package after your first appointment you get much better pricing. Definitely worth a shot if you are in the area.

This is my second time at SKN spa. The first time I came a few years ago I had an amazing massage. This time I wanted to try a body treatment which has been on my mind for awhile. The many things I love about SKN spa is its spacious, clean, have a serene and relaxing environment, and they have great customer service. My only gripes about I had about this service was despite this was my first body treatment, nothing was explained about what was going to be done. So, when the treatment started I was noticeably uncomfortable with the pressure which she lowered. She was not really personable and kept on looking at the timer. It made me think twice about recieving other body treatments there in the future despite often monthly promotions which was offered to me by the receptionist at the end and of course its pricey. We will see if there will be a third time.

I love this place! Been going here for years! Everyone is so great. Tina recognized that my skin actually isnt acne prone, just dehydrated and recommended that I switch my products to get rid of all acne-related washes and toners. My skin has been completely clear since. Not even my dermatologist figured this out.

Everything was clean and spacious. Didnt feel cramped. They have a gorgeous bathroom with a heated toilet! Everything is very relaxing and a gem in the area. The relaxation room after your services are done is a nice touch. They arent rushing you out the door like some other places. And they dont try to sell you too hard. Love it.

I had my first facial here recently and it was an amazing experience! As a male, having never done a facial, and with a beard, I had no idea what to expect. Kerri was my esthetician and was great about making me feel comfortable while also educating me on my skin, and the facial process. I was never left wondering what was going on or what that tingling feeling was, she proactively shared these details which made the first-time experience so great.She recommended a skin care regimen and wasnt pushy with trying to sell products.I walked out finally understanding why women are so excited to get facials (shh dont tell my fiance I said such things).My fiance goes here too and gets her facials with Fairy.

Ive been here two times and have had a pleasant experience thus far. Fairy is really friendly and patient and spends a long time on extractions, unlike some places. Yes, your face will be red for a day or two, but your skin will be in much better condition after a few days.

Get the groupon! TMI but the Brazilian was very good the lady had great technique I go to shobha but this place is definitely a second favorite now pretty much painless compared to others!!

I bought a Groupon for the Organic Facial and I could not be happier I did. SKN offers premium services in a beautiful salon. From the moment I arrived, I felt really cared for as a customer.My facial was with Jenny. She took the time to explain all the steps and products she used for my facial. She was excellent at every turn, really demonstrating that shes an expert in skincare. I left my appointment with glowing skin and really relaxed. I would return for another facial and definitely recommend.

Facial was good- but definitely over priced for the service. They say it’s 75 min but you’re sitting in the room by yourself for at least 20 of those minutes. They give a 30 second massage at the end and honestly for the price I expected a higher quality facial.

Im posting this reviews after visiting MANY times. I scheduled an appointment for a facial, I had a work emergency come up and wanted to move my appointment 2 days. I was informed I would be charged $25 to reschedule. I told her ok then just cancel it. I was then informed it would be on my file and they would charge me $25 the next time I came in. Horrible customer appreciation.UPDATE:The manager emailed me and waived the fee.

My friend and I came in on a Friday evening for a customized facial. I told my lady that I had a lot of blackheads and enlarged pores. My skin did look cleaner after the facial and it felt very smooth. However, it wasnt the relaxing experience that I had hoped for because for most of the facial, she was trying to sell me packages for a chemical peel for a future visit. I already said no (nicely) a few times, but she was very persistent. She finally gave up, but thats only because the session was over. Even with our Groupon, the facial was pretty pricey - so Im not sure Id be back, especially if I have to spend the whole facial listening to a sales pitch.

We frequently return for facials and the massage promotions are great.

I have been here at least 10 times for various services - mssages, organic and basic facials, and a couples facial. Each time, the servive is exceptional. Its always easy to book with them because the receptionists are very sweet. I have massages/facials with Jessie, Fairy, Steve, Kerri and Yoyo at various times. Ive been to numerous other high-end locations and SKN is just as and in many ways better than places that charge at least double what they do. I absolutely love this place and as a frequent spa-goer, I would have to say that its my favorite.

I have been a client here for years, and some of the girls are very good. My issue today was with their groupon policy. I saw they were offering a groupon for a facial. I read the fine print and didnt see anything in it about it being for new customers only (usually this is very clearly stated) i bought it and then emailed them. they told me i couldnt use it or alternatively, they could bill me a $25 duplicate usage fee (sounds totally made up, i know) bc i had used a totally different groupon, for a different service over 3 years earlier. Then they sent me an email with groupons actual rules and regs, (not the fine print under skn spas offer, but i should have searched on the groupon site for their rules (who would even know where to find these on the site???) and they showed me that groupon dictates that unless specifically stated otherwise, all vendors only allow 1 voucher by any one client anytime anywhere.with a spa on every other corner in NYC, i think Ill go elsewhere.

The clinician kept running in and out of the room leaving me unattended for long gaps of time. Even though she did massage my shoulders she didnt do this when I also had a mask on so the entire appointment stretched on well over an hour (I left after an hour and fifteen minutes but who know how long it would have taken if I did the whole thing). Her extractions were very rough and I actually started to cry which has never happened to me before. Finally after lying alone with a disgusting feeling/ smelling seaweed mask for perhaps 15 minutes I decided I was so uncomfortable (there was no neck pillow and the mask was dripping into my hair and down my neck) that I should just go. I thought the front desk person would be shocked and ask if everything was ok but she actually just asked for a tip for the woman. When I got home my face was super red/dry looking and I had white stuff all over my nose that the front desk woman did not point out to me.

Fairy amazing Aesticistician,hydrodermabrasion a must!!

Came here yesterday to use a voucher I purchased off gilt city for a Basic Facial. Let me preface by saying, I get regular facials at higher end salons, but figured for $39 dollars, what could it hurt? Im getting married in 2 and a half weeks and figured if nothing else, it will be relaxing. I arrived 15 minutes early, as is expected in most places, and filled out the paperwork. The girl at the front desk was sweet- offered me water while I wait and was friendly. I then waited more than a half hour. At 6:15 (For my 6:00 appt, not cool when you have dinner plans after), I was brought to the back of the spa by Erika. Erika was nice in the beginning, being thorough. Although, I have combination skin and she insisted it was dry and that I have fine lines (hmmm never heard that before). She proceeded with the first half of the facial, and other than the most painful extractions Ive ever had, it was ehhh okay. Then it took a turn for the worse. She applied a cold mask on a face (had to leave the room TWICE) to get it prepped, covered my eyes with it and then proceeded to place 2 pieces of kleenex on the sides of my face, then LEFT THE ROOM. She said this will take 15 minutes, Ill be back in 12 minutes to check on you. I have never in my entire life not had someone massage me at this point. As soon as she left the room, the masque slid down the side of my face, filling my ear with slime and into the base of my hair- also not cool when you have dinner plans after, then repeated on the other side. So here I am, my eyes sealed shut, slime filling my ears, so incredibly uncomfortable its not even funny. I am here to relax and stressing like a mad woman at this point. It seemed like she was gone for an hour, realistically it was 30 minutes. (I know this because the appt. ran 15 minutes longer than expected.) A half hour is a long time to spend stressing alone with slime in your eyes while you are supposed to be relaxing pre-wedding. She wiped everything off, started telling me about some 5 for 250 deal to which I quickly NIXED. You couldnt pay me 250 dollars to do that 5 times. Left LOTS of masque all in my hair and told me it was all out repeatedly after I kept pulling white chunks out of the nape of my neck. My pearl earrings had to be professionally cleaned, and I spent more than the $39 on the facial on wine and dinner (to which I was a half hour late) with a gf to relax about my stressful spa experience.Spend a little more somewhere else and I actually relax, at least thats my recommendation. And if you start to feel the slimy mask slipping, get help before its too late.
