I met Dr Dane and he was incredibly professional but also personable. I had a root canal infection, I called his office and he took care of me right away the same day I called. He made sure I was comfortable all the time during the appointment. Dr Dane thoroughly explained my procedure to me and what was happening and checking in throughout to make sure I was okay. I’ve never had a more pleasant dental experience.

I was referred to Dr Dane for a root canal. He was able to see me right away and fit me in for the first visit. He did charge extra for an emergency visit, but accepted my insurance. Ultimately, it took 3 visits. I found him to be careful, meticulous and solicitous of my welfare. He gave me his home and cell phone numbers to call in case there were any issues. The tooth in question had a crown. He worked hard to preserve it and promptly provided my dentist with a report and information that allowed the restoration to be completed promptly. I can recommend him enthusiastically.

Dr David Dane is an excellent endodontist. I highly recommend it in every way. If you need a root canal and you really want to find a doctor who does top-notch work with impeccable care, I recommend Dr David Dane 100%.

I don’t write reviews but was so frustrated I decided to. I tried calling to make an appointment for a root canal and 5.5 hours hours later no one picked up my call. The office closed while I was on the phone and there was no recording to say they were closed. I would never call to make an appointment or refer anyone to this office. Worse customer service I have ever experience in my life.

Was very professional. When I had an emergency last week Monday, he went out of his way to convince me to come that day even though I was reluctant. I would highly recommend Dr. Dane.

Im not a person who makes a habit of leaving reviews, but this experience was so easy that I had to. I researched Dr. Dane before I visited him, and was very lucky that he was within my network. First of all, the office is clean. The staff is extremely friendly. I went there for a root canal consultation after my dentist had referred me to a different specialist, but chose Dr. Dane based on my research and the fact that he was closer. If you want to visit a specialist who makes you feel empowered, go to Dr. Dane. He explained that I did not need root canals, why and told me my other options–a temporary medicated filling and another filling that just needs to be replaced. I went to him with all the concerns I had, and he provided me with the tools I needed to make an informed decision. He is honest, trustworthy and made me feel secure in my own ability to make choices about dental work (which, lets face it: can be anxiety inducing). He takes much more into consideration, which is a testament to his previous experience as a general dentist before becoming a specialist. He was thorough but to the point, yet all my questions and concerns were answered and quelled. He really wants the best for his patients, even if youre someone who doesnt actually end up needing a root canal like me. Thanks so much Dr. Dane.

Dr. Dane completed my root canal procedure with the highest level of professionalism. Dr. Dane is a true expert in his field. He made sure I was comfortable and pain free during the procedure. He was calm, confident, and explained every step.

I was referred to Dr. Dane by my dentist and I am extremely happy with the care and results of my treatment. With Dr. Dane, your comfort is truly HIS concern. During my root canal, he was always making sure I was comfortable and his conservative treatment allowed my tooth to naturally heal. During the final visit, he was very happy to see my tooth heal. This shows that he not only cares about his patients, but also truly loves his profession.

I would give no stars if I could. I was seeking urgent care from an endodontist. Dr. David Dane was listed. I looked up his number and gave him a call today. The call was very short and Rude. He only cared about his pockets $. I would advise those seeking help to look elsewhere. There are better professionals out there in NYC thats are caring and charismatic.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect when I first went to Dr. Dane since I found him through a goggle search. Dr. Dane is is amazing! I went to him for two root canals. He’s very considerate when it comes to pain tolerance, he’ll constantly ask if I can feel any pain, do I feel numb enough, etc. He also tells me what you expect before you switches to a new tool, for example “ you’ll hear some beeping” or “ you will smell a strong smell switch this device, don’t be alarmed”. Dr. Dane is very respectful and thorough with his work. I have had oral work done before at another location where doctor was rude, but I never had that issue with Dr. Dane.

Doctor was extremely rude and not understanding at all. Definitely do not recommend him for anyone who might have any major work needed to be done. Instead of helping out the patient and being understanding, he was trying to bring them down by being extremely judgmental. Rating 1 since I can’t go further below this. Had the most terrible experience here.

I needed a difficult root canal operation. I had an operation before and it was done incorrectly and there was a chance of my tooth getting infected due to the former mistreatment. Dr. Dane patiently and carefully did a wonderful job that saved my health without causing any pain. And to make it sure that everything is right this time he invited me for a check some time later. I appreciate his knowledge, professionalism and dedication to his field.

Dr. Dane was great. I had an emergency and my regular dentist was not open but referred me to Dr. Dane. I needed a root canal and Dr. Dane was able to take care of me in three visits. I was referred to Dr. Dane by my primary dentist and I have nothing but good things to say about him: knowledgeable, accommodating, compassionate, and very efficient. He took excellent care of me and I have to hesitation in recommending him.

I made an appointment with Dr. Dane for an evaluation on a possible root canal (he confirmed that I need one). It wasn’t urgent and I wasn’t in severe pain so I scheduled it for the following week. He was very accommodating when it came to scheduling my appointment . So,my root canal was done on two separate appointments. On the first day I was greeted by Dr. Dane (no waiting time for my appt) he walked me back to the procedure room- he took a couple of X-rays and thoroughly explained the issue and his plan to treat the tooth. Dr. Dane is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He took his time treating my tooth and he kept me updated on what he was doing throughout the entire procedure. He made sure that my pain level was well controlled at all times. He has great bedside manners and makes you feel at ease. He cares a lot about his patients, I noticed that on both days I was in his office. His assistant (Mini) is also very sweet and caring. What I liked most about Dr.Dane is that he is a perfectionist and has great attention to detail. So, if your looking for an endodontist that has years of experience, caring, thorough and is just all around amazing you should definitely see Dr. Dane. I would highly recommend him to friends and family.

Dr. Dane is, without a reservation, an excellent dentist and the ultimate professional. Root canals are not fun, especially when done in multiple sessions.I had a toothache for about a week, in a tooth for which root canal has already been done by another, worse dentist, some 15 years ago. Dr. Dane assured me that he could save my tooth, even if it took several sessions to do it. As it turned out, my tooth was badly infected and my prior root canal had to be redone.Dr. Dane charged me a fee upfront, without knowing how many sessions it would take to complete my root canal treatment. As it turned out, it required 5 sessions to get the whole thing done. There was minimal pain during, in between, and after the completion of the procedure. He talked to me during the procedure, telling me what he was doing, step by step. And he always followed up on me in between sessions.Dr. Dane is by far the best dentist I have gone to and I highly recommend him!

I would recommend Dr Dane without reservations. He has performed four root canals for me, and in each case has been precise, patient, and meticulous in his work. To give one example: Dr Dane discovered an extra canal in my tooth, something a previous dentist had missed (and which had caused the reinfection.) Dr Dane detected the extra canal and was able to re-do the root canal and save the tooth. He is very caring and always puts the patient first--on several occasions he has made himself available at all hours to help relieve my suffering. He never rushes the procedure and will take as many visits as the tooth needs. He is also a technician -I have actually fallen asleep during a root canal on more than one occasion, which I didnt even know was possible...I cant recommend him highly enough and would not go anywhere else.

Saw me on an emergency basis at 6 pm on a Friday! Worked on me for three hours. Virtually no pain over the weekend. The man is a saint!
