Ina, the owner, was amazing and really friendly. She listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and also provided professional recommendations. Took her time to make sure my cut was perfect from every angle. Beautiful and pristine space as well. Opened less than a year ago as an extension/expansion of its 12 year old barbershop next door.

I dont live in East Village, but my hairstyle is worth the subway ride.1. The salon is new, clean and stylish. You can feel that owners put their hearts and soles into it.2. Tatyana has more than a dozen years of experience and does her job on the level Id expect to get only at high end salon. She fixed imperfections of my layers and made my haircut perfect and easy to style.3. No one was trying to sell me something extra. I really appreciate it!

Found this place online, came by and have yet to have an experience like it! I have been to so many salons and asked for layers/a specific hair type but this is the only place that has been successful at it. This place was great. Small and intimate but allows them to really focus on you as a client. The staff was all super friendly and I loved heard the Russian accents! They saw me the same day I called, even though I was calling for another day but they managed to get me in. My favorite part was the head rubs during my shampoo/conditioning. Very affordable and overall a great experience! highly recommend them!!

Truly as good as it gets. Everyone is super patient and really kind when it comes to the sensitive nature of finding a new place to trust. I was able to make a same day appointment and I couldnt be more pleased with my haircut. I am a VERY PICKY person when it comes to my hair. I told her what I wanted and we shared war stories of how you go into a salon and you ask them not to cut too much, only for them to not listen and cut most of your hair off. That is not this place at all. You get what you want, and I find in this industry that is RARE. This is my new salon going forward. After not getting a hair cut for nearly 2 years, Im relieved to find a place I can trust!

Today we had an appointment with Ruben at 11 am. We arrived to the shop which was closed. I called the number and a lady answered who told me Ill be right out. A lady from the next door Barber shop came out to tell me that Reuben was not there and perhaps would arrive in an hour. The appointment was for my mother who has a very special event tonight who wanted to get her hair done and is from out of town. standing outside in 20-something degrees, with no advance notice from this beauty shop regarding the no show, incredibly unprofessional. I would not recommend the shop to anybody especially on a weekend perhaps they dont have early hours. Very disappointing

I have been on one of those excruciating hair journeys for the last year where I’ve begun to cut my hair consistently. A few days ago I had it cut, thinned out, and then continued cutting it at home (yikes! Lol) Today I tried to fix or adjust what I’d done and was turned away by a stylist. DO NOT GO HERE - RUDE/COCKY OWNERI would not even give it 1 star.I went in for a haircut, they washed my hair and no one showed up for 35 mins after that. I was waiting with wet hair for 35 minutes waiting for someone to cut my hair. Owner showed up and tells me, “35 mins is not the end of the world sweetheart, life goes on”That’s when I knew he was rude and didn’t care about his customers. He said I have other businesses to run.I left with wet hair. The owner didn’t once apologise for keeping me waiting for 45 mins. I appointment was at 4pm and till 4.50pm no one had come to dry/ cut my hair.I would never recommend anyone to go here.
