Hollywood Salon is the best! Fantastic talent and skill, very friendly. Excellent color and cut. My wife goes here frequently and Ive started going again. Feels very warm, like family.

I stumbled upon this salon online and decided to give it a shot. I thought it was fantastic! The ambiance was adorable and refined. The owner and hairstylist were both fantastic. I couldnt believe the inexpensive prices, which included a fantastic head massage, cut, and style. This location was a true gem! Service that comes highly recommended!

I’ve been going to Hollywood Salon for about 3 years now and they never disappoint. They understand what look I’m going for and create it. I’ve gone for a bob cut, bangs, and layered hair and always get compliments. My hair grows so beautiful after every cut. They also do an amazing job with hair color changes without hair damage. Worth the price!

I dont usually write many reviews but I have had such a good experience with Hollywood salon and they dont have many recent reviews that I wanted to spread the word.I have been coming here for 4 years to get a haircut and blowout and have always been very happy with the results. What is amazing is the price-which is pretty hard to get in Manhattan! I usually make an appointment but have been able to do walk-ins as well.Recently, during a haircut I mentioned getting my hair colored, and Nadia was so helpful and telling me what would look good that I made an appointment for the next week for a balayage. I will admit that I was a bit anxious as I had never gotten my hair colored before and I didnt see many pictures or reviews here. I also have fine black Asian hair! However, Nadia was amazing- I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair to look and she was very confident she could do it.I am very happy with the end result! My example picture had more subtle dark brown highlights, but my hair ended up with a slightly lighter brown which I actually like better as there is more contrast with my black hair.In the pictures it looks a bit blonde but that is only due to the lighting. They gave me a blowout and I love the curls!All in all it took about 2.5 hours and cost $175 which is a GREAT price for nyc. I would definitely come back! Thanks!

This truly is a fantastic salon and especially Nadia is the best!! I used to go only for a haircut, but went for balayage today (again, by Nadia - check out her IG account Visualofbalayage to get an idea of her talent) Both the haircut and balayage are so much better than I’ve ever had in the city (and trust me - I’ve seen a lot of salons) Would 100% recommend!

Let me tell you a little story about something great... My mom went in here today. She had been growing her hair for quite some time, in order to have it cut and donated. My mother is legally blind, and in her 60s. She had Nadia taking care of her. Afterwards, my mom just seemed to have such a bounce in her step. She took such care with her, treated her incredibly well... she looks great! A wonderful, professional haircut, and took the time to make her feel special. In a world going too fast, and people often forgetting how to do simple kindness; you guys knocked it out of the park today. For that, Im grateful. Keep it up. From a grateful son.

First, Im a guy and just get basic haircuts, so I cant speak to more complex things like dying my hair, curling it, etc. That said, I moved to NYC a couple years ago and just needed to find a place in town that 1) does a good job, and 2) isnt insanely expensive, and they absolutely fit the bill. Ive been to a couple spots that charge $75+ and its literally no better (and sometimes worse). I also like that they include washing your hair and rinsing at the end. I definitely plan to stay a loyal customer!

I like coming to this salon all the time to blow dry my hair. Their technique is unique and last about a week. The staff is really nice and the wash massage is amazing! I live in Connecticut and come every chance I get when I’m in town. Definitely recommend 😊

This used to be my go to salon. I had an awful experience because they hired a new stylist who doesnt know how to blow my hair ( i have naturally curly hair so it needs a flatiron after the blowout to maintain the straightness). Literally the second I stepped outside after my blowout with her my hair was a FRIZZ puff.So for my next appointment I requested Marta or Anastasia. I spoke with the owner who is always polite. Upon arriving, I noticed the owner was not there and that same abysmal stylist was. I washed my hair with their assistant and was placed in the abysmal stylists seat. I immediately looked at Marta and shes like Im busy and took another client!Anastasia wouldnt even look at me and the stylist who sits next to the front door was like I cant do you either and SHE HAD NO CLIENTS.The abysmal stylist asked me what was wrong why didnt I want her to do my hair. Sitting their with my hair wet I felt SO uncomfortable. I tried to brush it off but she kept insisting I tell her. I told her my issue and she took it personal while STILL BRUSHING MY HAIR. Marta and Anastasia spoke in Russian and just looked at me but didnt even bother to come help her (usually when the owner is there they double team and 2 people blow out my hair so it saves time)I felt so alone. I have been coming here for two and a half years and always had excellent service with the owner. It was a real let down because I love their $26 deal. But i definitely wasnt a priority and for that they lose my business.Go somewhere else if you want to feel valued. Or only go there when the owner is there because everyone is on their best behavior.

The salon has terrible service. Additionally Me and my friend went to dye our hair; we specifically asked for natural color dye and I got platinum which was very disappointing since it’s summer time and platinum does not go with my skin tone. Not only did they use the wrong color and now I have to deal with their mistake daily. They also were yelling at me and my friend and asked us to pay full price which is unfair since that is not the service we agreed upon. Overall very disappointed, DO NOT recommend this salon!! Terrible experience and service!!

They are quick and professional. The lady who does my shampoo did a wonderful job cleansing and massaging my scalp. Another lady blow dried my hair and I love the outcome. It is also inexpensive. Great job.

Anastasia is great! However,the older lady thats in charge needs to be less judgy. They only seem to accommodate people with the same type of hair and wants to make little or no changes to their hair.

Dont be fooled by the teeny space, I walked in off the street today and got the best haircut Ive gotten in a very long time. theyve been around for 11 years, but I was too busy getting my do done at a pricier place in the neighborhood to ever try them out. bored and in search of a new set of eyes and hands, I was lucky enough to get the lovely Juliya, who cut my hair as precisely as anyone ever has, including my old days of haircuts at Sassoon. the owner was nice too. and the price - less than $20 plus a super generous tip still came in under the cost of a haircut at my old place! Ill be back!

This place is terrible I got one of my most horrendous haircuts hear. Am never coming back. If you want to bad haircut for a cheap price I recommend this place. NOT HAPPY :(

Especially if you want a particular stylist..I have never had a problem there...excellent haircut, terrific price..I highly recommend Hollywood...and Marta for a haircut..she will ask you what you want, and will do exactly what you want ! And if she asks, and you say “I don’t know do what you think “ she will and you will be pleased

The owner of this place, which is also the person who cut my hair, is the worst hair stylist Ive ever had of my life. This dude has no skill when it comes to cutting hair and he is extremely rude and unprofessional. Ive been serving in the military for 8 years and i thought you cant get any worse than commissary hair cutter, this place have proved me wrong. If youre getting a hair cut from this place, do yourself a favor and dont let this guy cut your hair.
