I was an acupuncture skeptic when I came to see Joseph two months ago. I’d tried it three times over the past ten years, each time for at least two months..with zero difference, and only tried it again at the strong suggestion of my doctor. Joseph has converted me into a 100% believer.It took only two sessions for my extremely painful and chronic rotator cuff injury, that would wake me up at night (and I can sleep through an earthquake!), improved so mich that I didnt wake up at night...it felt like magic then, tho now I’ve begun to grasp the science behind it thanks also to Joseph.Now about 8 weeks later I can’t describe the myriad of back, leg, shoulder and neck aches and pains that are soo much better. Recommend him to anybody.

Very solid guy! Excellent acupuncturist. Works well within the parameters of Western medicine while adjuncting it with Chinese herbalism and acupuncture, which is exactly what I needed.I asked for a recommendation on a very risky and controversial Chinese herb and he explained the right way to take the herb and how it should be medically monitored. He put me on the herb after taking his time to source it for me. I have been on the herb for three months now, medically monitored, and it is working wonders. Accurate, smart, compassionate. Highly recommended.

I am so thrilled with my experience at Alban Acupuncture. I had a longstanding shoulder injury since I was in college, accompanied by dull pain ever since. I went to Joe for a few sessions and, even though he said I might need a tune-up in the future, I havent needed one and the pain is virtually gone. Joe is a calming presence, and he spends ample time with you as a patient. I feel more comfortable going to him than my own doctor! And his new office is really lovely. All in all, I highly recommend him.

Acupuncture at Alban Acupuncture has helped me deal with a variety of allergies and asthma. I go for regular treatment and it has helped me manage my allergies so much that I now live with a cat even though I am allergic to cats. The location is ideal for the relaxed atmosphere needed for successful acupuncture treatment. Joe and his friendly staff make sure you are treated professionally and courteously.

I went to Joe mainly to treat ulcerative colitis and migraines. On my first visit, Joe made me feel very comfortable, explaining what Chinese medicine is, and how it can help improve these conditions. Joe is very knowledgeable and skilled with both acupuncture and herbal treatments. The treatments are fairly gentle--as gentle as you can be with needles! I can be a bit nervous having needles inserted, but Joe makes it easier, and once you get used to it, the experience can even be relaxing. I found the treatments helpful, and will go back if my conditions flare up again!

I have been seeing Joe for over a year now and have nothing but great things to say. Joe has helped me with pain management tremendously, and has sought out multiple treatments until the right one was found. His office is soothing and comforting, and is in a great central location. Changed my life! I have been a regular with Joe since I starting going over 6 months ago. I am a runner and was starting training for the NYC full marathon when I went in looking for help with runners knee and he asked me if I had any other issues. I have had lower back issues as long as I can remember which only got worse 2 years ago when arthritis set in. I was waking up in pain every day for a year and a half, not anymore! Since Joe started working his magic I feel great in the morning and even get many of my runs in very early. Besides my knee and back he has also worked on random issues such as a kinked neck (fixed in one session). The office is calming and comfortable and his assistant Deirdre is a pleasure to work with.

I found it a very peaceful experience. Alban, who is a doctor of Chinese Medicine, is very, very gentle. In fact, I always fall asleep while in the treatment room waiting for the acupuncture to work it wonders. The décor, the music, the heated treatment table, and of course, his calming nature and his extremely gentle and confident technique all combine to make it a restful and peaceful experience.The results are amazing. My pulse rate, which tends to be in the 90s, is immediately brought down, and after 2 or 3 treatments it remains down in the 70s for at least 7 or 8 months. I mention this because it is tangible and not subjective. Alban is a very caring practitioner. It is evident that he listens to my health complaints as many of my aches and pains disappear with ONE treatment. AMAZING! I am a 68 year old woman with insulin dependent diabetes, and my blood sugar always goes down a lot during treatment. Joe Saved my life! I have been suffering from awful adult cystic hormonal acne for 2 1/2 years after coming off of birth control and spironolactone and had become a depressed introvert from it. On April 2014 i developed pompolyx (deshidrotic eczema ) its a type of eczema that effects hand and feet in my case it was on my hands . It causes intense itch and burning sensation . Can t count the night i didn t sleep . After visiting multiple dermatologists i kept getting prescribed steroids cream it helps but once you stop them BAM !! it starts flaring up again .I was devastated. After doing some research online i decided to try Chinese medicine.That s when i called Joe s office . Joe answered and after having a conversation about this type of eczema , i immediately know his treatment will help me get rid of it .
