The initial experience was good but I picked up my glasses today and the prescription in my right eye is wrong. They told me to wear them for a week and if I still feel like theyre wrong they will replace the prescription but Ive had glasses since I was 10 years old and I can tell the right lens isnt strong enough. Driving down rutherford I couldnt read any signs or license plates with my right eye. My left eye seems to be a little better though. 2 stars because they offered to fix it withing 60 days but it was still messed up in the first place and cost me a lot of money just to be unsatisfied. I will not be returning to another walmart vision center. Its worth paying more money to see a better optometrist.Update after 4 days: my prescription is so bad its giving me headaches. The vision center itself is fine but definitely go to a different optometrist

The woman who answers the phones is always rude when I call. Terrible service! I was asking if my insurance was covered but she kept looking it up under the wrong insurance even when I told her it was the wrong one. I asked her if she could look it up under anything else and she refused. I went to another Walmart and they found my insurance and I ordered with them.

Employees are always helpful, kind and quick. Never any problems.

Dr. Woods is great! My eye started randomly hurting one evening. After a very uncomfortable night, I scheduled a same-day appointment with Dr. Woods. She not only gave me a great eye exam with an updated prescription for glasses and contacts, she also was able to see that a microscopic piece of metal had gotten underneath my eyelid and was irritating my eye. Using her tools, she quickly removed it and I was on my way. Thank you for a very courteous and professional experience! I will definitely be back for all my eye care needs!!!

I guess my exam went well?The doctor who did the exam was very rude and when I asked about my PD cause I play in VR Esports and I need it to align my headset properly she got a lot of attitude with me, and talked about how ordering glasses online never works out well? Along with that I have social anxiety, so I have trouble speaking out when something is wrong, and during the exam I made a small mistake and her friendly voice got filled with what sounded like frustrating, I felt like I was being judged harshly till I finally got out of that building.I will never go to this doctor again cause after calling just one other doctor they not only told me I could get my PD but said they would do it for free.

I will start by saying that 4 of the 5 people in my family have glasses and we have been going to this location for 3 years now.The Doctor and staff are easy to work with and if there is a problem they fix it right away without any problems. I would have given the center 5 stars but everyone can improve.

Dr. Woods is very professional and informative. I have been going to her office for several years now and have been pleased every time. I would recommend Dr. Woods to anyone looking for a professional and informative eye exam.

First...this is a review for the center where you buy your glasses and contacts. This is not the place to review Dr. Woods, as she is not wal mart. Bless your hearts to some of the previous reviewers.The staff is always very nice and professional. They are not pushy at all!! I go once a year, because sweet innocent naive Tim (yall keep reading the reviews, you will understand), eye prescriptions are good for one year. Its not a scam you pitiful dumplin.

I was seen today by Dr.Amelia Woods for a very thorough and informative exam.She shared helpful information and provided me a couple of samples for dry eyes as well as a coupon for a good optcal lubricant.After receiving my prescription I was assisted by Nathan who measured and fitted me with some very stylish yet affordable frames.I appreciate the quality of service today.Thanks!

I got the Best pair of glasses here! I got them years ago and lost them for a few months. I nearly cried about it lol, and went to the place near Toys R Us on Old Fort for replacements because they were running “a special.” ... Both pairs that I got there are cheaply made and lopsided- it was Terrible! I eventually found the Walmart pair again and have been Happily wearing them since. The staff is always nice and helpful. I’ve never had to wait long. All around- unexpected Quality.

I dont really know what all these other people are talking about. I scheduled my appointment a day in advance, showed up 15 minutes early, and they helped me immediately. I requested an eyeglass prescription and contacts prescription, which they gave me both directly and did not pressure me to buy anything there before I was ready. The total cost of the exam was $80 and the doctor allowed me to try on and keep a pair of contacts with the exam. Probably the easiest ordeal Ive ever been through to get contacts.

I sent my teenager to get an eye exam by Dr Amelia Woods, and after her appointment she went to look around in the Wal-Mart Eye Center on Rutherford Blvd for glasses. I called her and told her to ask the staff about her contacts and the cost with our insurance. The staff were really rude and would not give her any answers and processed to be rude to her. We will not be returning to purchase her contacts there. I would not recommend this eye center, but I do recommend Amelia Woods if you just need an Optomitrist.

Do not go here for anything. My husband and I went and got exams on the same day. We wanted to have the prescription filled at a Wal-Mart closer to us. I called and they told me they needed to fax it over. Only they sent the wrong paperwork and said my husbands information wasnt at that office. Even though we went in together in the same day. My husband had to pay for a new exam out of pocket because they claimed he had no records. And they never sent my right paperwork, so I had to do the same. Very unhelpful staff and very nonchalant in the fact that they dont put you first and work quickly for you.

Bad experience. The lady that does eye exams at this location is a scam artist. Let me explain, I went there because the price was cheaper than other places in town. After the exam, I asked her why the prescription was only for one year when the last time, at a different eye center, the prescription was for two years. This is the scam, she tells me that all doctors are supposed to give prescriptions for one year and that the previous doctor made a mistake. Well come to find out, she is a liar. It is a scam because in one year I have to go back to spend another $50 to get a 5 minute exam. Go at your own risk. She will lie and say anything to get your money.

That Tim guy that said the every year eye exam is a scam...umm no its not, you are supposed to have an eye exam every year. That is why insurances give you a yearly allowance.I have gone to Amelia several times and I have other optometrist friends and will go to her in a pinch when I cant get in with my regular dr.She is just as good as some of the local owned places.

Update from last review.....everyone suggested I needed a second opinion, so contact a 5 star eye Care office where I live reviews are great....seen some would drive over 50-60 miles to go to their office. Got the appointment....told them my situation got back there well right before I went in I told my Bf my glasses I just had to buy because Dr woods refused to give me contacts gave me headaches....well I just thought okay I havent wore glasses for a long period of time in years so maybe thats why.....well like I was saying I get back there my Bf goes back with me the very nice Dr. ask do you have alot of headaches I laughed and my Bf snickered...she says what I said I was just talking about that she said you want to know why ...I said yes please Dr. Woods had wrote my eye glass script 4xs more then what it needed to be.....my eyes where perfectly fine....I explained to her about the prwvprev contacts causeing my eyes to drain and feel like glass in them and as life I could claw my eyes out....she said honey you were allergic to them. So my advice to anyone that wants to keep their vision please avoid walmart and Dr. Woods its a joke. Not to mention I spent nearly $300 that day and had to pay $100 more today.So a month ago I went in for a yearly exam. Well little did I know I would be jumping through hoops to get contacts! Last year I went to vision works (big mistake) they insisted I change contact lenses. Well I did and had issues from day one with them but they refused to give me the previous lenses. This year decided to go back to Walmart (another big mistake) went in for an exam my copay is only $10 well after said and done I walked out paying $263.xx because apparently since she wrote a perscription out for eye drops it costed me $110 just to see her when I originally went in for contacts.the rest was for me paying out of pocket for glasses sge insisted i get because she wouldnt let me get contacts. Plus the $18 for the drops.... Wouldnt write me a perscription for contacts because she said since I wore make the wrong way it cause allergies in my eyes. (Note) the contacts I got at vision works gave me trouble since day one...I could wear them for 3-4 hours and my eyes couldnt handle them. I told her I had issues with them and wanted to go back to my previous ones well no big deal you would of thought! Wrong.... .I wear my eyeliner wrong I dont do this I dont do that....all said and done. I get the eye drops filled have been using them for the whole month, think I missed one or two days but they still arent better! Im told to come back in a month....go back today...she tells me its your mascara your eyes are not any better! Told to come back in 2 weeks!1) I stopped using the eyeliner....2) my eyes dont itch or drain especially after being out of the crappy contacts from vision works.So go back in 2 weeks .....but they never made me an appointment! So if I go back it will be a miracle!!!Worst experience since I started going in 2014!!!Think twice....unless you want to jump through hoops!

I took my college age daughter there and it was a wonderful experience! Very expedient, professional and a great price!

Do not go here. They only take your money. This woman dont even do an eye exam which consist of three big letter and said that my mom did not need glasses.You will lose your time if you go to this eyecare center.
