If you’re looking for a doctor who cares about his patient DO NOT go to Jerry Martel. I’ve been trying to get a hold of him for over a month. Leaving voicemails, asking nurses I would like to personally speak with him for one question regarding what step to take concerning my health. I have yet to hear back. I have never ran across a doctor/office who cares for the patients and doesn’t call you back. Not to mention this isn’t the first time I’ve had this issue with this office. I had a handful of extensive exams done years back about 7 years later I have yet to hear back from him and know what those results were and his “professional” take on them. So yet another oh the lack of professionalism here.

The doctor Jerry Martel continues to demonstrate great care and attentiveness to his patients.

Dr. Martel is very nice and personable but that means nothing when you need a doctor to show up and do their job. In 2017 I tried getting in touch with him via phone for 4 days and he was unresponsive. I ended up in the emergency room with an issue. (Of course there was no follow up to that issue because I “was fine”). Fast forward 3 years and I call him to let him know I am not feeling well and asked if I should get a scan because I had worrisome symptoms. He told me I was fine again and brushed it off. I even joked and said “are you sure I’m not going to die” because I didn’t feel great. A month later I had a tumor rupture in my abdomen and had to undergo emergency surgery. Dr. Martel is too distracted and too busy to be attentive to his patients needs. He should stop taking new patients if he doesn’t have time for his existing ones. It’s hard to take his practice seriously since he doesn’t even take his own patients or his job seriously. I would only go to him for basic needs like acid reflux.

I had the worst experience with this office an Dr. My husband had a Ct scan 4 weeks later he call myhusband we went to qwest twice no order on the system

The doctor was nice and professional performed my procedure at ease. However the office was not clear about billing and cost me going to collections over small amount due that I was not aware of . Beware when you do procedures with them and always verify with your health insurance to confirm anything.

Dr. Martel is the best and speaking to him is like speaking to my best friend or brother. He always listens and is a excellent communicator.

Dr. Martel is very friendly and personable. He is very confident in his abilities and is always ready to help. I am under his care at the moment going through a hard time and he is helping me a lot. I would recommend him to anyone struggling with gastro issues.

Norma is the woman handling the guest/patients she needs training on customer service. I asked to speak to the office manager..unavailable I was told.

Dr Vernace is amazing. She makes you feel very comfortable and is very thorough. She doesnt rush and answers every single question. Overall, she is a great Dr.

We were long-standing patients of another doctor in this gastroenterology group until he decided to retire last year. When we asked him who he would recommend, Dr. Vernaces name was given to us.We were very impressed. She is personable, compassionate, and very thorough. She never makes a patient feel rushed as some doctors who only spend 10 minutes. She takes whatever time is necessary to answer questions and concerns, allay fears, and explain the results of diagnostic testing.Some may remark that they have to wait a while after the appointment time to see her, but it is simply because she cares enough to spend whatever time is necessary to be with her patients.I highly recommend Dr. Vernace as a competent, professional, and thorough Gastroenterologist.
