The negative reviews seen here are all true. At first I didnt want to believe them. I called and just like the reviews state, the wait is eternal, followed by a very rude girl who answers the phone. I asked what my copay would be for an endoscopy and she said call your insurance, I only do scheduling. To which I answered my insurance covers 25% of what you charge, if I dont know the price, how could my insurance tell me? she replied what insurance do you have? when I told her, she said its x amount how could you possibly have known the amount without verifying my insurance?? When I asked, just like the reviews say, she hung up on me. I decided to go to the place and just sit and observe the customer service in person. There were a few English only speaking patients waiting and you could hear the staff laughing and speaking with Spanish speaking patients that they would be next even though it wasnt their turn, not to worry. It is a shame that a doctor with such amazing reviews, allows this type of service in his office. Needless to say, I searched for another place to have my endoscopy done. If youve read the reviews, save yourself the time and trouble and find another place. Good Luck!

Dr. Veloso is an excellent specialist, but the staff (2nd floor) is terrible, they hang up the calls, they dont return calls or messages, and even less they put the medicine at the pharmacy and they dont even care.

My husband have g tubes install at Jackson south he was discharged and the hospital told to go to gastric doctor to remove it , the hospital did not remove it .I call this doctor office wait 15 minuts in line and finally when I was able to talk with secretary they was so rude told me to go to hospital, and hang up the phone on my faceThis was the rude action ever with patient .Not good manners at allI’m horrified with those attenders actionRidiculous, Rude Disrespectful.

My wife and I have been treated by Dr. Alexander Veloso and his staff for the last years. When we visit the center we have received some of the best care and service that can be expected. We have both had procedures done at their center and have left feeling the doctors and their staff truly cared for our well being. I have to commend Jenny for her extra effort in resolving insurance issues and follow up care. They are the best!

Dr. Alexander Veloso has been my gastroenterologist for approximately 6 years. He has always been very professional and thorough. And, he takes time with his patients to explain in detail. Great Dr. He is very professional and caring. His office staff is great as well. I did an endoscopy and colonoscopy on the same day with him and everything went smooth. Very well organized. I totally recommend him.

I was referred to a gastroenterologist by an urgent care doctor. With quick google search I found Dr. Veloso. I called to make an appointment and the front desk was extremely uncaring. She didnt ask the reason I wanted to make. She blatantly said there were no appointments until September. The doctor may be great but his front office needs some more training on compassion. People have issues that are important to them and arent just numbers.

Finally!!! A Doctor that cares about his patients quality of life... I always go to Drs recommended to me and this was no different. My best friend had a very good experience with Dr Veloso Jr. so I decided to go and try. Not only he was amazing explaining all the little details, but his treatment has really help me. I was so happy to have found a Dr. that cares that decided to take my husband, mom and dad. Can’t forget to mention his assistant Jenny because she was amazing resolving insurance issues for my parents, she personally called (more than ones) until referrals were sent for them to be seen and also thanks to her my husband had a much needed surgery in less than a month. The doctor is great but his support staff is awful, no manners or minimum customer service skills, lady call Jenny or Jenny is very rude and when you call to get any information..... Great Doctor. Worst customer service ever. I can never get through to anyone. When they finally answer, they put you on hold and then hang up. That’s if, they don’t hang up right away. Will be looking for another place.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr Alexander Veloso and the clinic staff, all very humane yet professional. I have proudly been with them since the beginning and have had no second thought of switching to a new GI.

As a new patient, my wife arrived 10:30a for a 11a appointment. At 1:15p she had not been seen by the doctor. When I called to speak with the Office Manager, I was told that their was not an office manager. When I told the receptionist it was a complaint, this person hung up on me; how rude. I called back and received an unacceptable reason for the wait. I honestly believe the back office at this doctors office does not understand how to schedule; nor do they understand how to resolve issues to keep a line of communication open the patients in the waiting area.

Don’t even try calling them because they tell you what number you are on the phone and when it’s fjnally your turn it rings for 5 minutes and nobody answers you’ll wait about 20 mins on the phone to speak to someone and at the end you can’t even get through

Dr Alejandro Veloso is a very professional doctor and helped my friend who has Crohns disease. My friend is much better and is under good treatment. We are very happy that we found it.
