None of us are prepared for the passing of a loved one. As I made the decision to have my wife to be placed on Hospice Tina was fortunate enough to have the same nurse also be the one to assist her as the Hospice care nurse. She gave me the opportunity to be a part of her caregiving until she had passed. This made me feel that I could be with her until the end. Aegis Home Health & Hospice kept me informed of all of Tinas conditions with having the information that I needed to put my mind at ease. There isnt enough good to be said concerning this facility throughout the whole timeline of Tina being taken care of.

My sister and I had such an amazing experience with Aegis. They were very responsive and considerate of our requests for both or our parents. Both were more complex cases and they went the extra mile to get them what they need to be comfortable and to live as long as possible. The staff were very compassionate and always available. Their nurse, Kristen, helped me survive this heart wrenching experience!

Bret Arnold has been a great resource to families needing any home health, palliative, or hospice need. The entire nursing staff are lovely, and love to care for their patients. The CNAS are very thorough and make sure every visit is a comforting experience. The therapy department really works with the community to make sure the residents are exceeding goals.

Aegis had a follow up ceremony, Celebration of Life to honor our newly deceased loved ones last night & it was very touching. Aegis staff cared so well for my mom in her last year of Life on this earth and to follow up with this ceremony meant so much to me. Thank you staff!!!From Maxine Hollys daughter,Lynda Holly

They are fortunate to get a star! ... their DON told me personally they are the best out there and then abandon their case because while under their care I consulted with Hospice of The Valley, because I simply can. They didn’t consider my dads care at all - instead they took it personally and left my dads best interest behind. HOV took over and put my dad above all!...I could write a story about what they did but won’t waist my time!... their already poor reviews should have been a red flag.

Aegis Hospice cared for my loved one during their final days at a memory care facility. The staff was always professional and caring, and did an excellent job communicating both with the facility and with our family. Everyone I encountered at Aegis treated me with respect and caring, and when my relative passed, provided sympathy and support in our time of loss.An exceptional group of individuals to care for a loved one.

My grandmother has been a patient of Aegis Hospice for the past two months. They take such great care of her. Today they delivered flowers to her. She was so touched. Her nurse is so amazing and is always willing to answer questions and concerns. We are so glad we chose Aegis. I would highly recommend them. They really care about people.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. They did not provide the services they claimed they would. They were not supportive of me while my mother was dying and seemed only interested in giving her drugs to hasten her death. The fact that I wanted to stay with her during her last days seemed more of an inconvenience to their people than anything else. There was no support after my mother died beyond juvenile pamphlets mailed to my home. At this time in life, support and compassion are needed; you wont get that from this company.

I discovered my husband had a UTI and was with hospice and Aegis. The doctor never even talked to me or saw my husband since we signed up for hospice three weeks ago. Without sending a nurse or collecting a sample, they ordered Bactrim without my knowledge or consent. My husband is resistant to this drug and so I called. I was told and I quote, We are here to make him more comfortable, not cure him. I said, YOU cannot cure his brain disease but with some information and the correct medication you can cure a UTI. That would make him MORE COMFORTABLE. I was told if I needed to speak to the doctor, I would have to call during their group meeting and talk with him by speaker phone, that he never visited patients. This should give you a hint.

Most of the CNAs and nurses are great but there are some that are space cadets and forget to order your meds and would rather you stay in pain instead of doing something.
