Do not I repeat DO NOT take any one you love to this place! I took a loved one here on a voluntary detox and she was held against her will, shipped around to 4 different places and now were fighting to get her back. Its been 14 days. We went 7 days without being able to hear from her or get any informationShe cant account for 4 whole days. Who knows what they did to her. They do not care for the people they are supposed to be helping. This place is BAD BAD. Avoid this nightmare at all costs!

The people that work on the floor dont have a job, other than talking so so loudly to each other that, it torments the detoxing patients, so they cant get rest! I freaked out and I want to believe his his name was Dustin? Sorry if thats wrong brother, you were so kind you took all the time you had to make me feel at ease. You were amazing brother one good person and also the girl who checked me in, Im sorry your name escapes me. Other than those two I had a negative experience from most the other employees.

I don’t understand why there’s so many negative reviews. Yes they give you meager food servings, yes you get a bed that is really just a recliner, yes employees can get snippy, and ALOT of other things we can complain about. But you know what? ITS FREE!!! You should be thanking them for offering that to people who need it but can’t afford it. If you want to be treated like the royalty you think you are, pay tens of thousands of dollars for a resort style detox. As uncomfortable as it was, it probably saved my life last these last couple of days, as well as others that I could see.

The staff here was very helpful with my recovery. I was here 8 days for detox and they gave me the tools during my stay here that I needed to find a great IOP and I respect them completely. Its amazing to me how someone could be so unappreciative toward people who truly care. Just to to be clear, Im speaking about the people who gave such horrible reviews to this center. NO I DONT WORK HERE, NO I DONT HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER WHO WORKS HERE. I was a patient who is ever is just grateful!

Unfortunately, Ive been there 2 time before , for opiate withdrawls. Its rough at first, given the environment can be frightening and withdrawls are hell as it is. However, Ive read the comments and every single person is out of line complaining. This place is an absolute godsend. They save lives and are wonderful people. I couldnt be any more grateful for them to be honest

If you have AHCSS they treat you horribly. This side is dirty bad food. Make you go cold turkey and 3 to 4 day stay then get you hooked on Soboxin. You leave with a 30 day script. It not a place to get detoxed. The most of the staff are high on benzodiazepines. Very cruel & discusting. But,If you have good private insurance they take you to the good side right in to a very clean side of the clinic and give you care 24/7. Real nurses and Doctors. Sleep aid meetings, It all about the money.

Ive been a patient a couple times over the last seven years dealing with a prescription painkiller addiction acquired through cancer that the doctors who put me on them have been nothing but counterproductive in helping me when I brought it to their attention and most often out of fear for themselves will discard you as a patient as soon as you breathe the word addiction. The process is frustrating for a patient and their family in many cases at CB but if you can allow yourself to think of things from their side and not from the perspective of a desperate addict you can see why things are done the way they are in my opinion but I know how tough it is Ive been through it. Its just another one of the great pains an addict endures but in my experience at CB if you can treat them civilly they will treat you even better and the program for someone like me is the best one out there and one of the few like it again in my opinion.Theres no doubt you will see some crazy things there and it made me really appreciate what the staff does in order to help people, I witnessed many acts of great compassion there. I got the sense that it wasnt just a job for them but I would espect a high turnover rate for jobs like these. Just inevitable but God bless em!

This place is a disgrace to the already disgraceful rehab resources in the Phoenix Metro area. My sister was missing for 10 days, while in their care for 2 out of the 10 days. They did not give her any of the messages her family was leaving for her, even though it was explained to them that she was considered a missing person in the City of Mesa. On top of their lack of concern for our family, they also allowed my sister, an addict of prescription pills and alcohol, to leave their facility with 700 prescription pills, twice in 10 days, (so 1400 PILLS!) 400 of them a controlled substance. They allowed her to leave their facility to walk the streets of inner-city Mesa with enough pills to kill a horse (and enough pills to get her killed in that part of town) TWICE in 10 days. They did nothing to see that she was escorted to a safe place after leaving their care, aside from giving an addict full access to that many pills at once. This place should be shut down...permanently! Our government funds this joke of a rehab center to the tune of tens of millions of dollars a year. Do NOT send your loved ones here for any reason! If I could give it zero stars I would have.

This place admitted me without telling me how much $$ my insurance was going to cover. I was with 2 insurance companies at the time so when they told me I was being admitted after 48 hours of heroin withdrawals, I was so happy to finally get treatment I just assumed it was 100% covered by my two insurance companies. The staff NEVER told me how much it was going to cost me until I went out of my way and asked them myself. $2,300 is what they told me after I thought it was free. I told them I couldnt afford that and I needed to leave ASAP. The staff told me even if I left I would still be charged over 2 grand either way. So I stayed and filled out paperwork to file my complaint. The owner was supposed to get back to me.(Its been over 2 years and I still havent heard back from them.) They did send me to collections for the unpaid bill that I shouldve never been charged with to begin with. Avoid this rehab clinic at all costs!!!! Its run by scammers.* One last thing, I told staff earlier that day St. Lukes hospital was going to admit me for $1,200 and I left St. Lukes hospital because I couldnt afford that so why the hell would I stay at community bridges for twice that price?!? That would be stupid and makes NO sense. I wish I just stayed at the hospital.

I just picked up my son from community bridges because he wasnt sick enough to stay there and get help. Just because he wasnt throwing up doesnt mean he is not sick. Hes an addict and hes sick. Not only could I not make contact with anyone on the phone but no one would give me the time of day when I asked to talk to someone regarding my son. I am so angry of how they handled my sons circumstances. Im angry of how they treated me. Shame on them.

One of the most horrible place ever! So i had a drug problem and my parents wanted to petition me to go to Rehab but they couldnt force me so the staff told my parents to lie and say i tried to cut my self and kill myself so i was held for 4 days i was Withdrawing and i didnt get no meds, when i would tell them i was in pain and Dope Sick they didnt care and said to just sit down and leave them alone, the providers just talk to you for 2 min or less all they ask if you wanna hurt youre self or others. They take you in just to charge youre insurance and get money they talk loud all night and dont let you sleep, it needs to be shut down ASAP!

This location is a blessing with a great staff that go above and beyond the call of duty and if your willing to rob cheat lie and steal from family and friends and willing to give up your children to get high.but not willing to put in the work and actually have to go through withdrawals for a short Period of Time and have to go through such a minut amount of suffering that weve put all of our family through then you do not deserve to be at a facility that is the stepping stone into recovery. Thank you Community Bridges and your staff

Creepy. Feel like Im gonna die there. It feels and the environment doesnt make m3 feel welcomed and it mak3s me feel very uncomfortable with my recovery. Its a worse experience I ever had in my life I would rather going to baart clinic instead for my rehabilatipm and medicated assisted detoxing experience which felt 100 time better compared to going to cbi and it make me feel much more welcoming and comforabl2 ! They need to fix cbi environment. People wont stay clean if they did their detox at cbi. Its always high chance for them to release coming from cbi. Baart Program really help people be able to be proactive with their daily Basis and their daily routine. They helped people cope with their symptom and be able to do what they need to do on daily basis.

I admitted myself to detox at Community Bridges in June 2012. I was wanting to get off the alcohol. I was drinking over one gallon of wine per day, plus other liquor on top of that. I wasnt able to function without the continuous level of alcohol in my system. I could not eat, sleep, or function without it. I couldnt not have it. I first drove myself to the Van Buren facility and oh my gosh....if I had taken the provided transportation and got left there, I dont think I would have made it. I would have voluntarily left if I even got as far as admission. However, I left and drove to the Mesa location. It was a little better. There wasnt any food available; the process to get in took forever. I got there around 2 pm and hadnt eaten and once I began to sober up, I was very hungry....no food at all. That was the worse part. However, one year later, Im still clean and sober. It was tough to get through the few days of detox. Its not the nicest place and they waited until I showed systems of high blood pressure and hallucinations before they provided any medication. But, I am very grateful for the facility and staff for their help. I think they recognize individuals that want to genuinely help themselves, because they were a little nicer to me than they were to some others. They are unable to turn people away and often see people come in and out every day just to get their meds.Again, thank you for them being available to help with the detox process. I will be celebrating my one year sobriety birthday, Sunday, June 2, 2013!!!! Of course, with the help of God and the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous.

I was sent here after a suicide attempt and I have a lot of mental problems. They tell you its for a 72 hour hold but thats not the case. I spent a week in the holding room full of recliners. There are no windows and absolutely nothing to do except sit in that chair being terrified of the violent patients. A lady got punched in the face and had to be sent to the er. After she came back no one even asked her how she was doing. They were out of toothbrushes for 4 days. The day shift supervisor went and got some immediately when I asked him after being told there were none by the other staff. No one wanted to bother to go and get them. The place is freezing and were in paper thin scrubs and only allowed in blanket. I watched one daytime staff member (black guy with a short afro) sit next to an attractive 21 year old girl for over an hour flirting with her. She looked so uncomfortable. Another female patient was harrassing patients and even the staff but was rarely given meds to settle her down. She was even openly masturbating and then touching sleeping mens faces. The Dr was so rude and just a nasty individual. I have terrible reactions to psych drugs and I explained to her rhaty personal psychiatrist wouldnt even put me in anything. She refused to let me.leave and said she was sending me to Tuscon because she wanted me in meds. They never came for me and I was finally released by Chris (who was awesome BTW) and for out of there. The food was disgusting so I pretty much just ate the PB and j sandwiches all week. That place was like jail and made my mental state 100 percent worse. A girl I met in there was contacted by several of the male staff on Facebook after she got out. That being said, a lot of the staff were very kind to me and really seemed to care. I lost the list of names and regret that because some of them.went above and beyond. However the staff is so loud that unless youre drugged up its impossible to get any sleep. If you have mental illness, especially PTSD, do NOT go here!

Be leary of male faculty, some prey on / flirt with and give poor non factual advice to attractive women who are in a very vulnerable.place. They have no quam in releasing an addict (female) late at night in the ghetto to wonder the streets, way before theyre ready for release. Very disappointing.

I was nervous about coming here after reading all the reviews.. not to mention on my way thru intake (first timer), there was a girl re-admitting herself for alcohol addiction. She kinda tried scaring me out of there, saying you lay in bed for 12-24 hours at a time and its like jail. I didnt have many options for rehab because I am uninsured. But man am I glad I stayed. I came very sick, at the peak of heroin withdrawals, and I got into detox within two hours of being in crisis. As soon as they gave me my first dose of subutex and something for anxiety, I was feeling much better. I usually dont eat until day 5 or 6 but I ate the next day (day 2) because of the meds helping me come back to life. My stay was 3 1/2 days.. There are groups everyday (kind of like AA or NA meetings) which are very helpful to stay on track and keep occupied. Only downside is, its really difficult to sleep at CBI. The staff is very loud, and you can hear EVERY bump/sound/word even from the rooms. It seemed like everytime I was just getting to sleep, I was being woken up for vital checks (blood pressure and temperature), medication pass, food being ready, or a mandatory group. Luckily they give you sleep meds at night but you cant sleep for more than an hour or two during the day.Overall, everyone was very nice and accommodating (staff and patients). They also help you connect with rehab after your stay; whether youre interested in outpatient counseling, halfway house, inpatient rehab, or sober living house. I believe they even provide transportation to wherever you choose to go.This place is a godsend. Im really happy I went to Community Bridges.
