When I first started at this clinic 3 years ago it was great. However, now they have put quantity over quality. They have very long wait times. I have a job and take homes. They are supposed to only take people with jobs for the first hour of operation. THAT IS NOT THE CASE! There is now a line that starts forming everyday at 3:45AM and they do not open until 4:30AM. If you have a lot of time to wait CMS is fine, but if you do have a job you might look elsewhere. Profits over patient care should be their new motto! One more thing, dont get too comfortable with your counselor. I have had at least over 10 counselors in 3 years.

After having an opiate along with everything else addiction for 40 years Community Medical Methadone program has literally saved my life!! I started at the one in Arbor St.in Mesa approximately 7 years ago.I was skeptical at first myself. People seriously need to become educated regarding Methadone, especially most doctors in other practices .Im one of those people who at 64 yrs will stay on it indefinitely. Im never high. I just feel normal, no cravings ever and actually function as a normal human being.

When the place first opened it was great. They wanted to help but in the last 5 months something has changed. They seem to try to make your life harder. Also I put in 9 grievance forms and called the head office and not once did I hear anything back. Im looking for another clinic and if I was you I would not go there. If youre there and have to stay just remember one thing THESE GUYS ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS.

Awesome staff, I liked the clientele and staff in Phoenix more, but only because there the clients really seemed like they wanted to be sober. But over all the transfer didnt negatively affect my dedication to me personal sobriety. I do miss my counselor Ron from the Phoenix location! But Laura is awesome and they care about your life and metal well being not just keeping you from withdrawals/pain. Overall theyre amazing.UPDATE: I FOUND THIS INFO AND THOUGHT IT WOULD BE HELPFUL!

I have been a patient with your clinics for over a year, and have had a generally positive experience. Most of your staff is incredibly caring and respectful. My dose is stable, and I havent had any recent problems with drug usage as my UAs reflect.Early in the Covid crisis I was increased to weekly dosage, which was a godsend. I flourished having weekly doses, and did everything right. My counselor Kevin left and I was never given a new counselor. After a number of months I began having phone conversations with the counselor Deb, who told me she would continue following up with me to get me out to my bimonthly visits. This never happened.Having my weekly dosages, I paid a not unsubstantial sum of money to be licensed for security work. Me and my wife moved from our location within walking distance to a place about a 45 minute drive away. I grew up near the arbor clinic, so I continued going there once weekly (planning to go bimonthly) because I had family in the area and could use that time to visit them. We moved in with my wifes sisters into a new home with the expectation of me beginning to work soon to help pay.On New year eve of this past year my father in law passed away in a tragic and unexpected way. We had to drive to the Navajo reservation to help take care of things. I contacted the clinic to let them know I was going to miss. When I returned, I was informed this was counted as AWOL. I lost my weekly dosing because of this. I understand why. However Deb told me that after a 30 day probationary period I could get my weekly dosing back.I was devastated, my entire new life was based around my weekly dosing. My wife took a new job with a pay cut, and to add insult to injury, I have a 30 minute window to race to the clinic every day, and had to start my probationary period over because my wife was stuck in traffic one day.At the end of this window I was told I will not be getting my weekly dosing back. I was in a car accident and am without vehicle now, we are borrowing a vehicle for the time being. I cant race to the clinic every day and get a job, its impossible. My entire life has been shattered, and I dont know what to do. I have evidence for all these things, but its of no help to me. My new counselor is pulling hard for me, but he cant help.Im scared for my future and my sobriety, the amount of stress this situation has caused is straining my relationship with my wife. Upon speaking to Deb this morning I was told she lied to my face about getting my weekly dosing back back because I was unreceptive (distraught) The staff on a whole are awesome, Deb is not an unpleasant person but is extremely uncaring and a beurocrat who will write you up for doing what your doctor told you was ok to do without looking into it.These clinics as a whole are an awesome tool that can help you get sober, and most of the people there really do care. Just be aware that the company is only designed to make money, and and the people who work there are given no tools that will allow them to act with compassion, and that Your circumstances are irrelevant. Counselors without the tools to help are useless. Dont let this experience turn you off to treatment if you are unsure. However the coorperate side of the company really needs to sort out their priorities. Or at least drop the compassion schtick.

Love this place. Took me in when no one else would in a dire situation. The people here are so nice and caring. So far probably my favorite clinic I’ve been to. Very organized and efficient unlike many competitors. I have never been to a clinic that seemed like it wanted to help and didn’t just push people through with the bare minimum. My only issue is I’m new.... and no one gave me a take home or told me about any hours for the Memorial Day holiday. I literally have no methadone and I’m so confused of why I didn’t get a take home or why the clinic is closed. I don’t know what’s going on?? Now I missed a day when I am working really hard to get privileges.

Good clinic. The best I have ever been to, given that they (usually) have a fast electronic check-in which allows the patient to bypass the front desk (where it quickly becomes crowded once you arrive; a rope or some tape on the floor might organize that lobby better). I have been there for about a year and a half and am at a point where I only need to go twice a month. This would never occur at any other clinic. Again, the best clinic I have been under the care of. Methadone, acknowledged as still controversial after lo these 45 years now, has been a godsend. Sure, I am dependent, but I use it to wash down my vitamins every morning, and only have to deal with the crowd there 2x/month. Not much of a sacrifice, really. I dont understand why so many rehab staff are so anti-medication-assisted treatment. I only wish that I had gone to a methadone clinic for the 1st time in 1997, instead of 2006 (when my life was already basically completely destroyed). And the state should have instituted insurance for this decades ago, instead of within the last few years. It would have avoided a lot of pain, loss, upheaval, tears, and wasted years.

The lady Maria at the Mesa location was horrible. Im actually considering going to another clinic. I go to another location in another County and a few weeks ago they let me dose there and everyone was great. Well I went in this weekend because I was in Mesa and I tried to dose there. As I was explaining they did it for me a few weeks ago she cut me off said they never do that there it has to be a week out! As I was explaining what they did when and who she cut me off wouldnt let me speak got huge smile on her face and told me I have to leave. I did not yell once or raise my voice I had my 3 yr old with me. I was going to record her then realized I didnt have my phone. So I called my counselor Chris at the Sierra Vista location he was really nice even though I was really upset he still called down there and got it so I could dose there Sat. When I went in to dose I did not get a Im sorry from Maria nothing! She honestly looked like she knew she was wrong. I have never been treated so bad in my life! I was embarrassed she did it in front of everyone. She didnt even offer like the lady did the first time I dosed at the Mesa location to call the Sierra Vista location and talk to my counselor to get a request form to fax over to I could dose there. I think she could have handled the situation a lot better. Especially since I did not raise my voice. Everyone else at both locations are pretty nice and good for the most part. I wasnt happy they wouldnt let me in to dose when I was a min late because of a flat tire. It just seemed like I was a inconvenience to them even know there were people in the waiting room. New Hope in Mesa has let people come in late. I just think maybe it could of been handled different too especially when this was the only time I was late it takes me over a hour to drive there every day since I live in the middle of no where and especially since I had a flat tire and I have proof I have no internet on my phone to look up their number to call them and my phone screen went blank it would have been nice if they let me in to dose that one time.

Community Medical Services has very professional and efficient counselors and employees. This place can help you but first you have to want to help yourself otherwise if you dont have the willpower or the urge to want to quit using I dont recommend it, I think a higher level of care will be needed. But for those who want to quit this is a great place who provides medication doctors and counseling to help you through your drug addiction. I am so thankful for CMS they are truly helping people who want to better their lives thank you and God bless.

Just wanted to say that i have never been so humiliated in my whole life. In treatment for a year and half doing great. All for getting kicked out on a friday holiday weekend with only one take home and nothing else. CMS didnt care wheather or not we would go through withdrawls or seek treatment some where else. And let me say the receptionist Laura out right disrespectful towards clients she works to collect a paycheck. And also almost hit my husband with her car and didnt apologize once for it. It sad that a center would do that to ppl. Dont recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Patel is very punctual; I have never had to wait. Appointments start at precisely the scheduled time. I normally schedule appointments at 8:00 AM, before delays have a chance to accumulate. I cant say whether he keeps to his schedule throughout the day but I have no evidence that he doesnt.

I wish I could leave a lower rating for them. I started going when they first opened and had no trouble for years then all of a sudden recently they kept making mistakes with scheduling, timing, etc. and blaming me and causing me great trouble and inconvenience all because of their own mistakes. STAY AWAY....if your truly looking for help stay away (this place will be the reason you will relapse!!!!!) It’s not worth chancing your invaluable sobriety on a horrible place like this. You will be treated like trash!!!!!

This place is incredibly irresponsible......nobody adheres to rules here and they dont follow their own protocol, but expect you too..... Just pure insanity is what I have experienced my counselor never attempted to help me at all and all of a sudden decides to discharge me..... Then they want to drop me from 120 mgs to 0 in 14 days.... The doc never says anything when you see him and they kept telling me my drug tests were coming up positive so I decided to do a little test if my own so I gave them a cup of pure water and they still said no drug screens were coming up positive with drugs...... Which I dont see how that is possible!....im filing lawsuits because thats just wrong.

I have my own life and family to take care of. He had no other transportation. I had no where to go to wait. I dont care for this place at all. It is now 8:34. He is a transfer from Tucson. It took 3 months just to get the paperwork transferred. It is for pain. No recovery involved. Still waiting. UPDATE: 8:46 am. Still no sign of him. I am in Mesa so he can get services in Casa Grande. Be prepared to stay here 4 hours for an intake. You will be required to show up as early as 4:30 am for your appt. Glad it helps most recover from drug addictions. Some have to use such locations for chronic pain because of all those in our country that cannot overcome addiction without other drugs. Just say no to drugs, People. Opt to use alternative natural methods. CBD oil.

You cannot smoke or vape by the door and paitients are forced to wait out in the streets before they open. I really had a good experience here. I think if youre ready to get your life on track then this is a great place to do it. I transferred to medmark in fort worth Texas recently and i think it was a mistake, the clinic here is what i thought a methadone clinic would be like that morning before i started treatment when Id never been to one. But community medical services is more like a doctors office than your typical methadone clinic, the staff cares a lot and knows everyone by name, NOT by number and that meant a lot to me. I miss my counselor, and especially the dr kirk..kurt. darn i cant remember his name lol. Wel the doctor here at this new clinic is terrible, the staff is unorganized, and combative and so are the patients, i cant bring my baby to the clinic with me because its unsafe, so dont take community medical services for granted! Its a safe place for you and your children, they let you earn privileges quickly. Because i transferred Im having to wait 4 extra months to get down to weekly. I shouldve been at weekly in June when I hit 9 months, but here they knock it down one day at a time every 2 months. Im 6 days past my 1 year and i still have to go there 2 days a week. A lot of people lost all their privileges because when the new owner took over, they started testing for alcohol and then stripped privileges for it. I personally wouldnt have been affected, i dont drink at all, but a lot of people that had been in treatment for years, gotten down to MONTHLY are now dailies.Community medical services got me to where i am now. 1 year 6 days since i used last. Emotionally Ive grown so much, and Im sober for my kids. I just hope that if youre considering treatment that you will just go in. Intake will take a long time, bring snacks and drinks and stash them in your bag. Be prepared to get dope sick for a little bit, but then theyll dose you, same day! Itll be by 11 am and i know thats like 5 or 6 hours, but whats 5 or 6 hours in exchange for a better life? Do it. Just call, and go down there. Its totally worth it. Theyll help you with everything, not just getting sober. They have info for so many services. If you need a home for you and youre children away from the drugs try house of refuge.
