Listen, the place was very clean and very friendly. I’ve gone back and forth on posting a review or not because of how nice the lady was and it was a good experience up until going home and getting a closer look at my hair. It is slightly shorter than I wanted but I understand that is something that can happen when getting your hair cut. It was a 2 hour haircut, which I have never experienced but had nothing else to do that day so I didn’t mind. My issue is how choppy, blunt, and uneven my hair turned out. I would 100% recommend finding a different place to get your hair cut. I would attach pictures if I could.

I went in for waxing, Kissie was absolutely amazing! She makes you feel right at home and goes above and beyond to ensure you arecomfortable from the moment you walk into the salon. In my experience, there are ultimately two types of bad haircuts: 1. When I went to Pamper Me Pretty, I was very nervous. I had an appointment for a Brazilian wax. Who wouldnt be nervous? Lol! Kissie was the person who was scheduled to do my wax. I happened to have overslept for my scheduled appointment, so I called to apologize and see if I could reschedule. She was very understanding and let me reschedule for a later time. I was late to that one too. I am new to Manhattan and I am easily lost. When I arrived, she was very chipper and excited to be working with me. Typically, when you are late to any appointment anywhere, you are often greeted with a grumble and a negative attitude. Kissie was quite the opposite. That said a lot about the business to begin with. Not only was Kissie extremely pleasant, the shop was beautiful. The color scheme was very comforting and the place was set up in such an appealing manor. Definitely cleanest salon Ive ever been to. 😁 When it came to the waxing, I expressed my nervous feelings to Kissie and made sure I was comfortable with everything going on. She was very through in her explanations and yet again, made sure I was comfortable. To make sure I felt good about the pain level associated with the waxing, she offered to do my eyebrows. She didnt charge me to do them and yet again, she explained everything going on and asked what I was comfortable with on my eyebrows. I was convinced by her amazing work with my eyebrows to go ahead with the Brazilian. The entire time, she spoke with me. Wanted to know more about me, where I came from, and still would check to make sure I was comfortable. I had such an incredible experience that I booked a leg waxing. Yet again, incredible. I felt so comfortable with her and her work that I didnt want to leave. I discovered that Kissie is the owner of this wonderful establishment. She is very modest about it, which spoke highly of her character. I left feeling like I had made a new friend. That is rare, especially for me. Let me start off by saying Kissie is the best. I went in for a Brazilian wax and she was super nice. Kissie took her time with waxing me and I loved it. I went in on a whim looking for a change in my hair. Kissee was super knowledgeable about what I wanted done & steered me in the right direction. My goodness where do I start, fairly new to the area and needed assistance on girlie services...Kissie is a one woman show that handles her business professionally and with ease!!! I walked in the salon with no appointment requesting a few services. She was in the middle of a service and once she completed her client she told me to sit in her chair. She shampooed, deep conditioned, and flat ironed correction gave me a silk press per Ms. Kissie :). She did an excellent job on my hair!! She set me up with her nail tech, and scheduled me for a massage with her for the next day. I was very pleased with her customer service and the environment was super comfortable, sooo girlie, cute, and clean and she made me feel very comfortable. She didnt know I needed that warmth and conversation from her and her client.The next day I came in to receive my massage and she did an outstanding job on my full body massage! Before she began she told me I would be pleased but she didnt say I was going to be left in a state of unconsciousness. Kissie hands are soft and gifted. She made sure she she didnt apply too much pressure which i totally appreciated. She gave me one of the most relaxing massages I had in a very long time. Thank you Kissie!! I personally had a wonderful experience in this salon and Kissie was so patient and gental cutting my 3 year olds hair. While I was getting a deep conditioning treatment, color and cut Kissie made sure my daughter was comfortable and taken care of. My hair has never felt and looked so good. Kissie definitely takes the time to understand your hair needs and makes you feel comfortable which is hard for an introvert like myself. I have never had a wax before but when Im ready I definitely would trust Kissie to do it. Overall a wonderful experience and relaxing setting. Looking forward to more services here.

I’ve been coming to Pamper Me Pretty for a couple of years now. I happened upon the shop when I was looking for a wax after I had a HORRIFIC experience somewhere else. Kissie explained her process all the way through, made me feel comfortable, worked with me through my dramatic reactions until I realized it wasn’t bad, and she knows what she’s doing. She takes effort and time to ensure that you are comfortable, and that you know the process as well. It’s not a rush for her, and that makes you feel worth the effort and welcomed.I tried her next for hair- because why not? I had absolutely destroyed my hair. It was dry and dead. She suggested a conditioning treatment, and this time I went for it. I never believed deep conditioning to be anything but a way of taking people’s money. OH MY LORD was I wrong. She even explained to me how it works, and why cutting off dead ends assists in hair care. I wanted a change of color- red and blonde, and we worked together to find the right shades and the finished product was amazing. I felt confident and pretty. Since then, this salon is my go-to. We’ve done blacks, blues, reds, and even platinum blondes. I’ve tried a couple of times to keep up hair colors on my own, managed to absolutely dry and run my hair & come crawling back to her. She always brings it back to life, and works some kind of crazy miracle. The atmosphere is always nice. As long as she’s around, I’ll be her client!

OMG KISSIE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING... I went to Pamper me Pretty to get starter dread locs, I have been natural for about 5 years now. I beautiful hair but very thick, kissie took her time with me and I can’t stop looking at my hair!!! Her salon is very pretty and the Atmosphere can’t be beat, I will be going back to get a wax and massage soon!!! THANK YOU KISSIE❤️❤️❤️

I cant get over what a wonderful experience it was going to Pamper Me Pretty.I love short haircuts but Ive never had anyone pay as much attention to the details of how my hair looked and what I wanted done to it more than Kissie. She was friendly and warm. She went over what she was doing to my hair as she was doing it. She treated my hair for dandruff and at the end of it my hair was dandruff free and felt so nice and silky soft. You really feel like you are being taken care of and are in a safe space to relax. While your treatments are being done, she talks to you about yourself and is a fun, easygoing person to be around.Her salon is probably the cleanest Ive ever been to. The decor is super chic.She has all sorts of chargers if your phone needs a charge. I mean, who does that? That is awesome! She provides coffee and water if you need some while you wait for your treatment.She knew my hair type and explained how she could get it to lie flat, a few tips and tricks, showed me products I could use to get the exact look I wanted. I was so impressed!I couldnt believe she was even willing to stay late for a walk in. And she did such a great and thorough job, never once rushing just so she could get out. You can tell she has a real passion for what she does.Thank you Kissie for your great work! I will be back :)
