I’ve unfortunately had to visit this ER twice in the past year, but the staff and doctors have been amazing both times. So nice and genuinely caring. This last visit, they took me in right away, and got me out as soon as possible. I’ve had to wait for hours on end at other ERs. I’m truly appreciative of the caring and attentive staff here.

The building itself is nice its modern and clean and everything but I think they should have a separate elevator for employees versus patients/visitors because the employees going up and down become impatient with visitors.I even saw one employee bark at one of the visiting patients to GO - ie get off the elevator when they got to the bottom- because he thought the visitor was taking too long.People come to the hospital for all kinds of different reasons - some may even have a terminal illness, so its really SICKENING to see an employee treat a visitor/patient the same way he would honk at somebody on the freeway for going too slow. It shouldnt be that way. These employees need to be trained better.

Dr. Ramos, a world renowned liver specialist is on the board of comittees here and practices here. Nothing but the best care for his staff and supporting teams. Reason not 5 stars are because one particular aftercare nurse is either lazy or uncompassionate. They were constantly overdue regarding his pain management medication. Im a doctor myself and proper pain management speeds up recovery and is standard operating protocol.

The staff are completely rude I ask the nurse to wipe the machine down before she put it on me and she caught an attitude.... I told her I was having chest pain and she didn’t pay attention........... as I breath the pain was worst ..... this hospital is the worst I have ever experience...... hopefully the staff in the back are a lot nicer

The room decor is straight out of the 60s. I must have had the oldest mattress in the entire hospital. For 3 days the food was cold. On day 4 I was moved to another floor and I finally got a hot meal before I was discharged. All that aside; The doctors, nurses, specialists and supporting staff are off the charts. Their care and thoroughness twords me couldnt have been any better and has helped put me back on a road to recovery. If you are in need of Medical attention, it is with great confidence that I can recommend Good Samaritan Hospital.

Every single visit to the #ER at #GSH is a farce. Back in #September when I was in a #bus #accident, with my high risk vitals, placed me in a chair with other patients surrounding me in a waiting area & spoke at me about my medical conditions. No #privacy, no concern 4 the concussion that was burning my right ear, the Nurse Practitioner had the audacity that my ear & right neck did not matter??? . I never saw a doctor and was discharged????

The waiting room gives a wrong perspective of the place. After you pass it - you get into good hands. Youll see the busyness of the place and why was your waiting time so long. In my case, it was 2am-8am to get onto the bed and start the actual diagnosis. Before that, they will do a couple of preliminary checkups to determine the severity of your illness. My overall satisfaction is 5 because all the doctors were very professional and caring. Every interaction was positive and informative.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. Firstly, the lack of hygiene there contradicts what this hospital “stands” for. There was blood on the floor, in front of the receptionist window. The bathroom was completely dirty, with used toilet paper all over the floor. The bed I was given was dirty as well. This hospital truly needs to improve. The nurses were rude, and racist. Wish I could get my time and money spent back.

They have been extremely kind to me. I have a prostate problem, and they have been gentle and efficient. I’m so lucky to have them so close to where I live.

If I could give zero stars I would. I came in severely dehydrated, never administered IV fluids, I came in at a 7 on the pain scale. I was only ever administered Toradol at the very END of my stay even after i mentiones that it doesnt work, so I spent the entire six hours I was waiting in bed, for absolutely nothing. My pain hasnt been treated, I was only able to get anything for my nausea after I had asked the THIRD nurse to make the request. And on top of all of this. This is by FAR the rudest staff I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. If you are able, make sure you visit some of the other hospitals in the area..you will receive proper care, and faster than this entire terrible ER. I will say for the record as well, Im a hospital employee and having seen how this one operates I will be filling a formal complaint anywhere I can. Im that disappointed in my care, and have received a solution to only one of the problems I came in today. SO if you have a lgitimite disability with pain, go elsewhere. If you are able yo tell the ambulance where to go. Go elsewhere. If you are able to wait to see your regular doctor, do so. This ER will NOT leave you satisfied. Having been here twice and able to read the reviews I can confirm it..and who the hell uses BLANKETS AS SEIZURE PADS!!!Also, along with every other negative review I experienced absolutely horribly rude nurses and staff. I brought my problems to the attetion of the charge nurse and he told me I was priority after six hours, he was also INCREDIBLY rude in the encounter and instead of apologizing he spent five minutes lecturing me about how a hospital is ran. Im sorry sir, I work in a teaching hospital I spotted mistake after mistake. And to compound this issue there is only one doctor working the ER even though every bed is filled. This is what we use On-call doctors for and again, this is the only ER where Ive ever heard of one doctor being on the floor and them not calling anyone to help reduce the flow. Whats worse, there was a man who was there just after I arrived and was bent over in pain, who STILL hadnt even been given the chance for a bed after 6 and half hours. If the man had severe appendicitis youd have a serious problem on your hands.
