Ive been going to Salud for over a decade. Though designed to treat low-income patients, I would go here even if I wasnt in their target patient group. My care providers over the years have been the best you can find. They are smart, kind, compassionate, open-minded, and quick on their feet. Youre making a mistake if you underappreciate this little local clinic.

I called to ask about available times for an appointment. Before they would even tell me what times they had available, they spent 20 minutes asking me for all of my information and my life story only to eventually tell me they would only give me a phone appointment. I told them at the start of the call that I needed an in-person appointment to get a test done, so I could get an antibiotic. I already know what is wrong with me. I already had a phone appointment with my last doctor who told me exactly what test I need to have done. Then I got new insurance, and came to these people to get the test done after already being diagnosed over the phone by my last doctor. They told me that since I was a new patient, I had to do a phone appointment first, and then if the doctor thought I needed to come in, they would schedule me for an in-person appointment. I told her a phone appointment is useless to me. I need a test done that cannot be done over the phone to confirm what I have and get a prescription. I have already seen a doctor over the phone, and they can check my medical records if they need confirmation. Too bad, she says. I guess they want to be able to charge me twice, so they are insisting that I do a useless phone appointment (which they can charge me for) only to tell me to come in for the test I actually need (which they can charge me for a second time). By the way, this is not just the way things work. I already called a legitimate clinic and set up an in-person appointment to get the test done- yes, as a new client who theyve never seen before. Can you believe it? What a novel concept! Dont waste the 20 minutes of your life on the phone giving them all of your information, just so they can tell you they will only see you if you go along with their double charging scam.

I only stay with this clinic because of my PCP. He is amazing. He listens, understands, and doesnt just dismiss my concerns I have with my health. He (the doctor) has been my doctor since 2002. I just wish he would go to a different clinic. The schedulers are very very rude. I have been trying to schedule an OB check for a prolapsed bladder. The scheduler will not schedule me stating I have had a hysterectomy so no need for an OB check or GYNO check. The women who work the front are constantly in a bad mood and they make patients feel worse than they did before they called in to get an appointment to feel better. I personally have told them what is on my mind. I have also spoke with the clinic director.... nothing has been done. I love you Doctor Brett!!! Hopefully I can get scheduled for my issue soon. they wonder why Ive visit the ER so much. I cant get past the scheduler to get assistance

Im honestly surprised that overall, this clinic doesnt have a higher rating. Though I have sometimes had some long wait times with picking up meds from the pharmacy, I am amazed with my experience at this clinic. It was cleaner than I expected, the staff is way nicer than I expected- I am used to a bougie clinic where the staff is fake-nice and very judgemental. This is the first time I have been comfortable with being completely honest with my doctor- felt no judgement and received a very thoughtful and caring response to my substance abuse issues. I see doctor Bailey, and Ive never had a healthcare provider that pays such close attention and actually seems to care (and one who remembers our previous visits and conversations!) Overall I am so pleased with this place and I am so happy to be here now.

Good grief...the American Health Care system at play. I really wanted to give this place a chance. Like I’m absolutely crushed & disappointed. After today’s experience I’m almost convinced there’s some industrial payouts in CO for getting people on heart meds because I’ve jumped through this same exact hoop 4 years ago and it was not the solution.Ive have an issue with my shoulder for about 3 years, it’s some kind of tendonitis or dislocation. I used to see an orthopedic doctor before my health insurance expired who believed I had a tear in my shoulder tendon, long story short, my insurance ran out, COVID smacked, got hit w/unemployment, and so I had to seek a new PCP with new insurance. So I do telehealth w/Salud...Easy.The main issue I come in for is about my back, and some sleeping issues I have because of my neck and shoulder pain.I report some of my medical history as well, some high cholesterol in my family.I Was told by a doctor I would come in to get X-rays, and some blood work. When I came in for images they told me I would be getting chest X-rays.... WHAT FOR? This is about my shoulder, right???I’m given a completely new PCP the day I come in who was reading my records wrong which was very concerning, and all of a sudden it turns into confusion between the nurses and I about what the chest X-rays are for, if this was about my shoulder.... (there’s been a lot of passing me back and forth between other primary physicians so I can see how that would get lost in translation)When it comes to my bloodwork; turns out my cholesterol & triglyceride levels are high. Ive already known that since 4 years ago...I can facilitate that, once we can we talk about my shoulder and I can do activities again. But then they switch all their priority completely on that instead of what I originally came in for. They did ONE blood test (without me fasting) and already, they want to put me on statins???Could it be possible there was an error in the blood work? Possibly. Should we discuss that? Most likely! They talk like I’m at risk for having a heart attack like, tomorrow... that really hasn’t been the case. It’s not that that info is not concerning believe me. It kind of is.... it’s just not what’s hurting me right now nor is it new to my concern.I just think they’re a little quick to jump to the heart meds especially with someone as young as I am. I’m 27...LOOK , I’m still active, I do yoga, I’m not huffing and puffing every step I take... I think I have enough time to make some dietary/life choices before throwing me on the heart meds....I lift for work, and I used to do massage therapy on the side...THIS IS A MUSCLE TENDON ISSUE. I am in absolute pain due to my shoulder, I kept telling them that. There’s even a cyst or a huge knot in my shoulder blade that no one has bothered to palpate...Finally, today they decided they’re going to bring me in for shoulder X-rays next week like they should’ve to begin with.but get this:It’s with Dr. STATIN.....Like no offense to Dr.Statin, but after that argument on the phone today with the doctor, either that’s a coincidence or just a really petty way to spite someone who told you that you might be mistaken.OH word of advice, don’t show any emotion on Telehealth visits to your doctors or theyll be forced to call Behavioral Partners of Longmont on you to make sure you’re not losing it...I was getting frustrated yes I was being blunt, admittedly I was telling her that I need help for my shoulder. That’s the reason why I called. I’m very aware of my cholesterol. She was being very rude to me on the phone. If you’re going to have new patients maybe let them stick with the original doctor who took the original subjective/objective analysis? At least for more than just one visit...Shoutout to Vanessa on the phone: thanks for returning my calls during “high call volumes” you were helpful. That extra star is for you!

It was bad back in the day, weve been patients for over 15 years, they are even worse now. Broke my ankle earlier in the year, and they refused to see me and have it xrayed. Went to UC Health, were they determined a bad break that was previously undiagnosed. Yesterday I called as my son needs to be seen, preferably this week due to illness, and no call back. Called today 3 times once early when they first opened and got on their wait list for call back. Then i tried at around 11 am. Was on hold for almost an hour to no avail when their system kicked me out. Tried a different number and was put through the same answer system, to no avail. Finally, after they closed I get a prerecorded call saying stay on the line for our...yada yada.... then it hung up on me. My family was patients at this clinic, they neglected us and am reporting to the state medical board my complaint. COVID TEST--READ THISHi Neighbors,I just want to share my experience seeking a COVID test in Longmont. TL;DR, Salud is an option available to you if you have lots of time to wait for a test and results. My husband and I are both showing symptoms consistent with wildfires and changing seasons, but wanted to be safe rather than sorry. I googled rapid test and found Salud Family Health. They offer testing on weekdays from 1-3:30pm. We went yesterday to be turned away at 2pm, then went again today. We had to arrive at 12:40 to make the cut, because there are only 50 tests per day. We waited in line, in the car, for three hours. It was not clear how long this would take until it was too late to bow out. We both missed three hours of work. It states on the website that it is a free test but they still take your insurance. I am not sure what this will mean for my billing later. I was not charged a copay at Salud. Also, it was not until we got to the front that we were told this is not a rapid test. It came up on my Google search. It takes 5-7 days to get a result.By the time the doctor came to the car and did my swab test, I was in tears with frustration. I just wish I had known all of this and had the opportunity to choose a different option. I thought I would share. This was not the lunch break errand I had planned.Salud is doing their best and this is not a dig. Thanks to all the healthcare workers that are working hard. I would just recommend driving 20 minutes to the Walgreens in Loveland that offers rapid tests & appointments.Salud--please add more information to your website.

Was treated very rude by one of the providers, when I took my mother in for an appointment. I have only recently started taking care of my mother. My mother is elderly, she has Medicare and Medicaid. Apparently because he does not receive any compensation, from these insurances for the treatment he provided. He thought I was being ungrateful by expressing my frustration over the fact that I did not know I was suppose to be super prepared to answer tons of questions regarding my mother. He was talking down to me the entire time. I expected a higher level of professionalism from a medical physician. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed. It is a real shame because I really liked Salud. I will be filing a formal compliant. I am currently looking for a different facility to take my mother for her medical care.

I have to write and defend Salud. I have been going there for 6 months, and never had a problem, or felt like anyone was rude. The front desk could sometimes be more welcoming, but usually they are trying to keep track of a lot of different things at one time, so I cut them some slack. They have never been rude or kept me waiting. I am 68 and have several health issues. I have made several visits and have seen a specialist in addition to my GP doctor. My first GP doctor transferred to a different clinic, and I was so sorry to lose him, but the next doctor I got is excellent also. All 3 doctors that I have seen listened to me and discussed things with me. The assistants are nice. They even have a policy that you call them by their first names, which immediately the relationship on a more equal level. Their fees seem to be sliding scale, and quite reasonable. They have an in house pharmacy, and do x-rays there.I had moved from out of town, and no one I met had any recommendations for doctors. I liked the idea of one stop- shopping rather than traipsing all over. I lucked out with this choice, and I am happy to recommend them, although I dont think they need it, because they are quite busy.

When I asked if the doctor was on the Convenient Care side, I was told no - they were on the other side. So I requested the wait in the regular waiting room so I wouldnt get sick. Then I had a second appointment the same day, and they didnt check me in for it so I got to wait an additional 15 minutes to be told that I couldnt be seen because my insurance didnt cover the appointment; which it also been scheduled for two full weeks. I dont have a GP. I looked into getting one here and found myself on a long wait list. So I go to Salud. Everytime I come to Salud with a concern, they decline to do anything other than perhaps poke it with a finger. Ive come with multiple concerns only to have a doctor sympathetically uh-huh me while reassuring me Im fine while declining to do absolutely anything. They waste an hour and a half of my time atleast per visit to execute what shouldve been a 10 minute visit since they do absolutely nothing. My boyfriend even went there with a rectal abcess after 2 days of constipation and extreme pain. He was informed he had hemorrhoids, which he has had before and understands how they feel... Suffice to say it wasnt hemorrhoids, and he required emergency surgery so he wouldnt die the next day. He had 6 ounces of abcess and the doctor who attended him at Salud examined him, rectaled him, and declared he had hemorrhoids when there were no visible signs of hemorrhoids. There is no interest here in moving people to higher levels of care at Salud or in providing care beyond a prescription for antibiotics. If this is your option while waiting for a gp you essentially have no access to care unless you go to an emergency room. You can literally be sitting in a Salud dying and your doctor will reassure you youre fine.

I wait on hold for at least 30 minutes every time, and of course because I work during their business hours, I never actually get to wait long enough to talk to anyone before I have to hang up and go back to work. Each time the machine asks me if I want to leave a message, and each time I have tried, the mailbox is full. The doctor attending us had very little experience with the ultrasound machine and was having trouble locating our babys heartbeat so she called the main obgyn to check as well and after he checked as well couldnt hear a heart beat and just told us in the rudest most coldest way that were gonna have a miscarriage and i couldnt believe that someone can be so cold and not care about his patients feelings. Dr. Brett is awesome, however, the long waits on phone and in waiting room are ridiculous. Whats the point of having an appointment when they dont see you even close to the set time, yet they ask that you show up early for the appointment. Why?

These bad reviews are just silliness. Ive been going there for years. Top notch, board certified MDs and mid-levels who are well respected within the medical community. Most of these reviews are about call wait times and rude staff. If people would take the time to ask, youd know that they are having trouble with their communications company, not Salud. Great place

The wait time is beyond RIDICULOUS, some of the front desk staff could use soft skills training, as many times they are not customer friendly at all. The doctors are pretty good, but again waiting hours on end shows little regard for clients time.EDIT: My sons appt was at 10am and we waited for over 2 hours, I did get an email at 10:47 letting me know his appt had been rescheduled for 10:15, thanks for letting us know after the fact.

You guys suckkkkk. Why do they even work here if they don’t know how to do their job. You guys take our money, the money that we worked for so hard didn’t eat and paid for our health. These Mexicans need to respect our time, and talk to their managers about the problems. Phone NEVER work, even if you have serious problem you have to go to the doctor and wait 30 min. I had appointment at 1:00pm and waited till 1:26pm seriously? So many people work there behind computers thy need to hire more doctors what the hell. If the doctor comes and see you they do some checkup and make you wait another 20 minutes. Like that is NOT enough?!

In response to negative reviews:Yes, if you call to make an appointment there’s going to be a 30 min to over an hour wait time. You have the option to have the system call you back but it’s much easier to go in and make an appointment in person. The care clinic will have longer wait times. I’ve never waited three hours for my appointment but I always go in on weekday mornings. They don’t give out pain meds at the care clinic so if you’re in pain and need help immediately, urgent care is the best option. To get your prescription filled after your appointment, you have to grab a number and wait until they call that number to get your prescription processed. Wait 20 minutes, then pick it up at the window. Or come back later. You can only schedule dental appointments on the first Thursday of the month. You can also send an appointment request online after you’ve gotten your login info from the front desk. They’re not perfect, but I like this clinic a lot more than others doctors offices I’ve been to. Once you figure out how things work then it’s actually really nice. They have a fantastic women’s health program and I like that they’re a little annoying with follow up. I need someone to bother me until I make the appointment.————————————————-The staff I’ve encountered has been friendly and incredibly helpful. I saw Dr. Merrill who I felt went out of her way to address my current health concerns. I had my blood drawn from my hand (arm always causes trouble) and it was quick and nearly painless. I have never have to wait more than five minutes to get into my appointment and this is the fastest I’ve been in and out of a doctors office. I can login online to view my labs and schedule appointments. No complaints here.

I love our familys PCP here. The clinic itself sucks. Terrible service horribly long wait times takes forever to get appointments. They text you the wrong dates and times to show up. Tell you to arrive early for paperwork and you sit there for 45 minutes past your appointment time 90% of the time. Ive tried to address these issues with reception and they blatantly disregard them. They hang up on my phone calls repeatedly. We are in the process of looking for a new care provider now. We will be very sad to see our PCP be changed, but cant deal with the incompetent staff anymore.

Very rude staff, they dont seem like they like there job so they make it difficult for the patients. They treat patients like low class citizens, some people cant afford insurance or other clinics so their stuck with this worthless place. When my son was a baby they gave him all the wrong shots i went to the boulder county health services and they had to re do his shot, it was the worst thing ever they put my baby at risk they are pathetic. Its sad i will never ever be a patient at this clinic. They need to reevaluate their employees and hire people that actually care. If i can rate 0 stars i would they dont even deserve 1 star. Who ever is in charge of this clinics change your staff they suck.

First time I came here.. waited about 3 hours in total just to see a doctor. They had skipped me and then when I finnaly saw the doctor he was very rude. I have come back because I heard good things about the acupuncturist doctor here but still am having to wait over an hour to see a doctor. Staff is rude, has bad communication within the office, very unorganized. Worst doctors office I have been to ever.

The staff is unprofessional and the doctors arent attentive. Its obvious that they dont want to be there and dont care about the quality of their work.

I hate this place. It has been horrible the last two years since I was pregnant. They didnt even catch that my son stopped growing and I even mentioned I noticed it. I transferred to Boulder Womens Care and I had very little embryonic fluid, my son wasnt getting the nutrients he needed through the umbilical cord and much more. I go in to schedule one week and my appointment card says 3:30 the next week but apparently it was at 2:20 so now I have to reschedule two weeks out? Screw you guys I am done with this clinic.

This was the worst experience in my life at any medical clinic. SONIA PANKONIN, the physician ASSistant that saw me, was extremely rude and made me feel unwelcomed. This is my first pregnancy, and I wanted to know what medications I could take because I have been sick for one month. Since this is my first pregnancy, I am nervous on what medications are actually safe for me. She rolled her eyes and was puffing when asked questions. She asked me if I had received a paper that stated what medications I can take. I told her, No, I never got that paper. She sarcastically replied, Ohhh thats too bad. She also didnt know I was pregnant, even though it was in my patient notes. I cant believe monsters like her care for pregnant women. I will NEVER EVER step foot in here. She made this experience miserable.

Disappointed in my first visit at this clinic. My 5 & 6 year old were examed by Dr. Shaw yesterday. As we were waiting for the dr to come into the room, my kids asked to go to the restroom. As I open the door to take my kids to the RR, dr. Shaw walks in and says “really? I just got here.” What kind of professional response is that? Aside from her less than stellar first impression, NONE of my concerns for my son were addressed! 1. 2nd opinion for Speech therapy evaluation (already recommended by a doctor) 2. Headaches —she diagnosed my son with altitude sickness despite him having the same symptoms in Atlanta (we recently moved) 3. My son has motion sickness and she recommended an OTC medicine that she had to GOOGLE!!You’re unprofessional and FAILED to take the time to LISTEN.

This is seriously the worst place ever. They took care of me in not even 5 minutes when I had an allergic reaction in my eyes. The doctor didnt even check my eyes or where they hurt the most, and also refused to give me a doctors note. Its a waste of your time. This is the shittiest clinic ever. Do not go there.

My husband went here for a normal checkup and hadn’t been to the doctor in years. He had been feeling “not right” and everything he has been dealing with SCREAMS low testosterone and hormonal imbalances. He asked for them to do ROUTINE ANNUAL LABS to check his hormone levels and blood and the doctor outright refused!!!Plus, he needed a referral to the dermatologist since he has been dealing with a skin issue for a long time and has tried EVERYTHING!Again, the doctor refused to give him a referral! She said she cannot refer him to the dermatologist nor can they do ROUTINE ANNUAL BLOODWORK and that he was simply “depressed” and prescribed him prozac!?Are you effing KIDDING ME?!Since when can a patient not request ROUTINE ANNUAL LABS and a referral after exhausting everything for a skin issue? My doctor would NEVER treat me this way! Don’t you think the patient themselves may actually have an inkling of a clue and that ummm quite possibly they might know their body better than you???Regardless, I feel this is outright CRIMINAL! That “female” doctor is LUCKY my husband would not give her name because I absolutely WOULD take action against her! This has ruined Salud for me and has proven the service to be absolutely WORTHLESS! Tell me, what’s the POINT of going to the doctor and waiting for FOREEEVVVVEEEERRR when they won’t do a single darn thing about the actual ROOT of the problem anyway! This is an example of what’s so wrong with health care in America today! Seriously!

I am very surprised at the number of negative reviews written about this clinic, as I have had nothing but a positive experience here.I have now seen Dr. Ansell a few times, who is an excellent doctor, very personable, highly knowledgable and incredibly helpful. I had seen another physician at the Frederick location prior who I found to be subtly derisive, patronizing and inflexible regarding treatment options. Since switching to the Longmont location and Dr. Ansell as my PCP, I have felt completely supported. She is a joy to work with as well as being very receptive to my ideas and desires regarding treatment. Its a large clinic and they are helping many people so I have found the wait times to be a little long but not in any way that was problematic. The staff at both Longmont and Frederick have always been very kind and gracious. I also want to add, as a primarily English-speaking patient in a bilingual clinic, I have always been able to perfectly understand the staff who speak English as a second language.

Had to call 5 separate times over the course of 2 days to even reach someone to make an appointment because every time I called, I sat on hold for 30mins, 45mins, 28mins, etc. Finally got to schedule mine and my daughters appointments & 3 weeks later (the day before) I get a call confirming my daughters appointment.... but somehow I’m not in there system & have never been scheduled. Fantastic! Now I am told I have to wait another 2 weeks to be seen because they dropped the ball and that’s how they handle it.

This was the worst clinic experience I have had. Unprofessional, ridiculous wait times, nonexistent phone service, and an ill-trained and creepy male doctor who diagnosed me without performing any tests or even a physical exam. The pharmacy is also a joke, overcharging even with insurance and giving out teeny tiny prescriptions with no refills and no explanation of the drugs. Disgusting place.

This is the worst Medical Center that Ive had the misfortune to deal with. I hope Im never sick enough to need their care and.The Doc I saw claimed to know womens health, nope. Saw my ear infection but refused to prescribe antibiotics. the phone is always busy & it takes days to hear back from an email. I pray that I will be healthy enough to only need Soopers Little Clinic from now on so I never have to go back!
