Over the past year my dentist and each of his staff have worked with me on fixing all of my dental health issues. My husband and I feel incredibly comfortable going there for any issue. I have severe anxiety with dental visits but have gotten through it all easily due to the level of comfort and trust I have with them.

Ive been a patient here for 9 years. I have extremely sensitive teeth due to gum recession. Dr. Hohlen and his staff have been wonderful and always make sure I am not in pain whether its a cleaning or a crown. They make going to the dentist easier!

I needed to get a checkup before July 1st, and didnt think there was any chance to get in, but they surprised me when they could get me in the next week! The equipment is state of the art and the staff and Dr. Hohlen were quick to explain all the processes from insurance filing to the cleaning and the review of my ex-rays. Dr Hohlen is an absolutely amazing person and dentist. He met us at his office two nights in a row after hours because my son had dental emergencies. I cannot imagine having to go through that situation without Dr Hohlen calming us down and making us laugh the whole time.

The staff was professional and friendly. Dr. Hohlen is a great dentist. His office is very roomy and comfortable. You can actually hear the TV from the patients chair. After the x-rays and cleaning he took the time to sit down to look at the x-rays and he educated me better than any other dentist Ive ever had to let me know how to properly take care of my teeth. Just an overall great dentist.

Fantastic dentist. Moved to Lincoln from KC recently and struggled to find a new dentist. Recently Dr. Hohlen removed my wisdom teeth with ease, and having him fill cavities in addition to my regular cleanings. Would recommend him to anybody. Dr. Hohlen and his entire staff are great.

Prior to switching over to Dr. Hohlen and his great staff, virtually all of my experiences at the dentist were the same...stuck in the past with the same approach to teeth cleaning, cavity filling, etc. Dr. Hohlens office approach is unlike any other Ive witnessed. Dr. Todd Hohlen is the best dentist I have ever had, and I have had 10 ten due to job relocations. I recently moved to Colorado and travel back to see Todd for all my work. I nominated Him Best of Lincoln for 2015.1. Todd generously delivers the utmost level of care and attention to detail every time I visit. He patiently listens and responds to all my questions and concerns with full and understandable explanations.2. Dr. Hohlen proficiently uses the latest in technology and techniques after he describes and visually shows what needs to be done and why. He attains exceptional results every time, the first time.3. Dr. Hohlen recommends and uses the best materials, products, and tools. His processes and procedures are cutting edge.4. Todd reposes special trust and confidence. Not only does he demonstrate a caring and conscientious approach that exudes competence and confidence, he operates openly, honestly, straightforwardly and transparently.5. As a dentist, Dr. Hohlen was great. Professional, courteous and kind to both me and my 3-year-old daughter. Office is brand new and uses great equipment. Everyone likes the flat-screen TVs in each patient chair, but I think the dental equipment is just as impressive (they use the new smaller bitewings, so you arent asked to bite on something the size and weight of a golf ball while they take x-rays like the old bitewings). However, if you do not have dental insurance, or if Ridge Point Dental is out-of-network, its not worth it. When I started going to Ridge Point Dental, I had dental insurance through Ameritas. The reduced rate/eligible charges filed through my insurance was $123 for an oral exam, x-rays and cleaning. I no longer have dental insurance, so I am now paying everything out of pocket. The out-of-pocket cost for these services was $207.I would prefer to continue seeing Dr. Hohlen, so I called the office to see if I could negotiate a reduced fee closer to the $123 covered by my old insurance. I was told they actually take a loss every time they see an Ameritas patient and the only reason they are in-network is because Ameritas is one of the largest dental insurers in Nebraska, so the loss is offset by the increase in patients. This explanation does not make any sense. If they really lost money every time they saw an Ameritas patient, they would not have agreed to be an in-network provider. The more Ameritas patients they see, the greater their net losses would be. What is really happening is that their actual cost is less than $123, but they are unwilling to negotiate a reduced fee because they would rather keep the extra $84 in profit each visit.I am not condemning this practice or Ridge Point Dentals stance on this issue. I understand that is a business decision that has been made to ensure the offices profitability. As stated above, I think the services rendered are better than most dental offices and are worth a bit of a premium. However, when I am paying for routine dental care for a family of 5, the higher rates are just something that I cannot afford. If you have insurance and Ridge Point Dental is in-network, use them; you will not be disappointed. If you do not have dental insurance, keep looking. You can find comparable service at a lower price.
