Changing a name doesnt change the bad reputation this place has and lives up to easily. MIKI STAKES the director will placate you and assure you your loved one is taken care of meanwhile you can never get a nurse on the phone to check in and, with going on 8 months of no visitation, I want to know how my uncle is doing. But no, you can never get anyone on the phone. My uncle is always calling asking me to send food because the dietary department is so bad there. I would give it zero stars but there are a few good apples. Olga, the activity person is so sweet and has such a kind energy. Their social workers Ashley and Christina are also very kind and get things done as well as a few of the aides like Summer. But the Director Miki is horrible and inexperienced. Send your loved one elsewhere.

Staff is not friendly or helpful. They make it seem like you are bothering them when you ask for help. They do not give patients medications on time. Sometimes more than 2 hours late. If you miss the meal time you get a cold sandwich instead of a hot meal.

They try hard here. No place is perfect.Since Covid 19, they have changed policies and are currently too restrictive.Maybe things will change but it is like a prison for the residents because they have lost their travel and visiting rights. The staff is over worked too I think.Making appointments to visit rule has to go away. Staff come and go everyday with more Covid exposure than family. What is the difference between them and family or friends when it comes to exposure? Just using this as an excuse to keep visitors away or lower numbers I think because they dont really want visitors I think. What else can we conclude? We dont need chaperones nor anything.

First, I would like to mention that this facility not only has an ALARMING issue with providing SAFE effective care, the staff rarely answers the designated facility phone. Their clinical staff lack the BASIC act of PROFESSIONALISM & effective communication skills. If, you can converse with the nursing staff to address concerns of your LOVED one it’s very evident that there’s a Knowledge deficit of applied medical health and lack of vigilance or compassion! The perceived environment and culture at Bardmoor Oaks is extremely chaotic and misguided, which reflects the Upper Management leadership. My mother was transferred to Bardmoor Oaks on 7/28/20, she is coherent and a retired nurse. Since admittance to this facility she has been denied her basic patient RIGHTS & stripped of all her DIGNITY by being forced to soil herself after waiting 2 hours for her call bell to be answered & no operative room phone for contacting staff or family. Mom had her Toe amputated & now because of the hostile nature of several nursing staff and lack of attention to details ((medications, wound care) she is afraid for her wellbeing!Unfortunately, due to the PANDEMIC restrictions & distance of my family we have not been afforded the ability to visit & requests to speak to upper management ( CEO/CNO) have been negated. I will be diligently working to have my mother discharged from this HORRIFIC facility. The only reason I gave a 1 STAR ⭐️ review rating is because a selective few staffers have displayed acts of compassion & effectively performed their job.

Park your elderly person under a bridge with the homeless or take them to a dog pound. They will be taken better care of. My friend was re-hospitalized within a short few days after arrival for rehab. The only thing I could recognize on his meal trays was a half pint of milk. Took 3 days to find only half of his belongings. They never did find his teeth which cost $3,000.00 to replace. The last day I went to look for his belongings it took the 5 people at the nursing station 20 minutes to ask if they could help me. The whole time a lady patient very politely kept asking every 2 minutes if someone could help her go to the bathroom. There were about 8 emergency call lights lit when I arrived and they were still on when I left about an hour later. My friend would hit the call button and a nurses aide would show up 5 or 10 minutes later only to tell us that the nurse will be there soon.....This was usually about 15 to 35 minutes later. Please spare me the robo response. I have already contacted management numerous times and have not received a reply!

My mother has been at Largo Rehab for 18 months, after a move from Harbor Woods. Since the new director, Destiny, came on board - lots of improvements and improvements continue to occur! I find the nurses and aides are compassionate and genuinely care about my mother. When she was hospitalized in April, I would pop in to get things and I had employees that I did not know ask about my mom. I could tell it was genuine and not a directive or rehearsed comment. They have come a long way since February and there is still a way to go. I sleep better at night these days. And I visit each day. So far no one avoids me.

Mr. Clancy is my Dad. He went here for a respite visitthrough hospice. I had a choice of a few facilities however, I chose this one. My sister & I both tolddirector : NO MORPHINE. She said it would be written in his charts. He had an allergic reaction to this drug previously at home.He was given this drug on 3 occasions that I foundOut about later. My father was quite capable of telling us he was in distress. Hospice was not notified about this nor was I. ( this was only a five day respite). He DIED.

My mother is currently at Largo Health and Rehabilitation Center and I go there and visit her every three to four days. I have a very favorable impression of the facility and the people who care for my mom. The nurses seem to be very invested in the facility and the welfare of the patients. My mom was previously in a facility in Dunedin with a much higher rating that in my view was not as good as this facility.

As I requested things they were usually followed through however I would give it a higher rating if they had more CAs taking care of the patients. After months in this facility I am sorry to say you have to be there or you will see clothes disappearing, and personal hygiene being neglected. This is something not only in a facility like this but also in any Hospital. Family should be there! For myself this facility is taking care of my husband as best as it can. My husband does not have bed sores nor any sign of physical abuse. He is completely dependent for everyday needs.

Father spent 6 weeks here. At first, care was acceptable, then gradually went downhill. Some nurses refused to give meds, but charted it as given. Many of the aides were rude, physically rough, unprofessional and showed no compassion. Multiple times we told staff, and they charted it, that if he needed to be hospitalized, he was to be sent to VA Bay Pines, but they sent him to Largo Medical instead. They never notified the family, but the chart indicated that family was notified. When we removed his personal belongings, no staff could be located to tell them he was not going to return and we found used gloves, syringe and all sorts of medical supply wrappers on the floor, and a pill sitting on the counter. Staff refused to answer the nurse call button dozens of times. Food was usually inedible and/or unidentifiable. Too many complains to list, but I will be reporting this facility to the state AHCA. Dad didnt want us to move him because he said the PT people were excellent! Nurses Mona, (Unit mh6r.) Rebecca (days) and Rose (evenings) were also very professional and compassionate.

Raymond Briggs a resident at Largo, the therapy was exactly what I needed even some of those things are stupid, like standing up with Walker and standing up to beat the time before, it helped with my endurance. Helped get me in and out of chairs and standing up with my Walker. To get me home and feeling better then before my hospital stay.

Please do not take anyone you love to this most horrible place. in sixmos I saw my husbs Dr two times....would leave him notes on chart from hospice but he refused to do what hospice told him.....horrible Drs there!!!One even said to me get your husb out of this rat hole!!!! Nurses never so much as smile, no compassion at all. One night an RN begged me to call the ombudsman as there were no aides & he had to feed everyone & had no time to give pills out. After 6 mos my husb died at 5pm one day.....only no one called me to tell me until 7:10pm.....I almost have brain damage so many bad things happened.....its a real Hell Hole!!! I will never get over it. Dinner would come at 5pm....no aides, so at 7:30 I would look for one to feed patient in other bed. I ran into the VP and told him and he looked right at me and Lied.....he said oh we have plenty of aids!!!! NOT !!!! a lady who counsels patients relatives told me she could not have a normal meeting as all everyone wanted to talk about was how horrible this place was and what rotten care their loved ones got. Why the state doesnt do something is beyond me.......JUST PLEASE DO NOT KEEP ANYONE YOU LOVE THERE.......NOBODY DESERVES HORRIBLE CARE!!!!!
