Our family is incredibly thankful we were referred to Arden Courts Largo. We wrestled with the decision to move my almost 98-year-old grandmother out of her home. During her 6 months under their care, she thrived and was the happiest shed been in months. Theres no doubt in our minds that it was the right decision at the right time. Above all, the team is dedicated, compassionate, caring and professional. They became like family to my grandmother and to me. I cannot recommend Arden Courts Largo highly enough.

My family was in a unique struggle trying to find the right facility for our mother, and the representative we had from Arden was a ray of light in an otherwise dark storm. More than anyone else we worked with, she was empathetic, understanding, and also enormously professional. She gave us amazing education on a challenging patient dynamic, she gave us honest answers instead of a sales pitch, and gave us options that were fair and forthright --and did it all in 48 hours with no concern for it taking her personal time. I highly recommend.

I am so thankful that I found Arden Courts of Largo when my mother was diagnosed with dementia. We could not care for her anymore and all the staff at Arden took care of Mom like she was part of the family, making the decision to place her in a memory care facility a bit easier. It was such a relief to find such a wonderful and caring place for her. I want to mention Rachel McInerney in particular. What a wonderful person with a big heart who treated my Mom like a daughter would treat her. Thank you all at Arden for helping us get through these difficult Covid times. You always kept us up to date, let me facetime regularly with my mom, and were always supportive. I would highly recommend Arden Courts of Largo!!!!!!!

My ex-wife was committed by her court appointed guardian to Arden Court. She had been living at her condominium with round the clock companions when her guardian decided to move her during this pandemic for no apparent reason other then once she was moved, the temporary guardian started moving her belongs out of the condominium I assume to put it on the market. I question why any institution would admit a healthy person during the pandemic putting the person at greater risk for Covid-19. Further, when a friend attempted to call her she was advised she had had not earned her phone privileges. Earn are they kidding! I just read the prior reviews about scabies. More concerned about this facility than ever.

I recently went to a seminar with Dr. Sunny--it was extremely informative. The doctor did a great job of summarizing important information, and then addressed the concerns and questions of each person in the room! Thanks so much to Rachel and the Director for setting this up, and to all the wonderful staff at Arden Courts, who take amazing care of my mother--a special shout-out to Felicia, Anne, and all the other caretakers at Boathouse, the cook, who makes such delicious food, the front desk staff, the nursing staff, the Hospice staff, and all other staff. My family and I are delighted that my Mom is so happy, engaged, and loving her life now. THANK YOU!!!This is a marvelous place! Compared to a previous facility my mother was at, the residents are much more awake, alert, happy, and they participate better in the activities there. Wonderful, loving, caring staff, and very well organized!

My Mom has been at Arden court for 9 months. This place is a true blessing, they love their residents. I have to give a shout out to Annie in Boat house she has been a huge help to me. Everyone at AC works very hard for the residents. The care is very good. At first my Mom wanted to leave (this is not uncommon). Now she wants to stay. She can see for herself how kind and caring the property is to her and her new friends/neighbors.

Great place for my mom. She was home alone for many years thinking she was doing fine. Now she enjoys her life and many new friends. We know she is being well cared for and that is a great relief itself. Knowing she is having fun is a great bonus!

I’ve had a family member at Arden Courts Largo for about a year and have found it to be well run with caring, qualified staff. The facility is designed specifically for residents requiring memory care and creates a home like environment without the feel of an institution.

I am writing this letter to discuss many situations Ive experienced since having my friend be a resident of yours. After, just three weeks my neighbor (which Im his POA/legal guardian), who came directly from the hospital to the facility - contracted scabies.Arden Courts completely denied there was a problem and that it was only a rash going on. I took my neighbor to a private dermatologist for testing (Suncoast Skin Solutions) -Guess what, he had scabies! I quickly met with Andrew Defosses (Regional Director of Operations) and Joan Pienizaek, RN (Senior Resident Service Coordinator) about this matter. They BOTH lied directly to me. Both of the , This is the first time that they had any knowledge regarding the scabies epidemic. When you make a life-altering decision for a loved one with dementia and Alzheimers you trust that the facility will take pride in their service. I began my research and visited several facilities in my immediate area that had a great/good rating. I inspected your facility to ensure it was clean and didnt smell. What yours had to offer, so I thought, was one of the better ones. It was a very difficult decision, but I thought I had made the right decision.Needless to say, I was very concerned about how they could sit in a meeting and continue to lie about having this problem when numerous residents were scratching their bodies raw. Actually, there have been cases documented that I found out from employees and residents which has been going on for over a year.Having the Regional Director and Senior Resident Service Coordinator cover-up this matter really doesnt put me at ease regarding the competency and care your staff is giving these residents, especially my friend.Regarding Andrew Defosses, it makes me question his integrity, knowing that he was the Executive Director at their Seminole facility also makes me wonder how much he has lied to the families there. I will never trust this man again with anything he has to say about how they are handling problems.Regarding Joan Pieniazek, I have caught her in several lies. Not a great form of communication! Both Joan and Andrew were tap dancing around the issue and I felt they really thought I believed their lies and that I would just go away.Regarding Liz Murphy (Mobile Executive Director), she has been the only one that has taken this matter seriously and started implementing some form of solution. The decision, pertaining to the scabies issue, they could just vacuum the floors more often, have Stanley Cleaners come in an clean the rugs and cloth furniture, and then take Clorox bleach wipes to clean would suffice. We all know that none of those things will kill bacteria, no less scabies! There are two pregnant caregivers at the facility NOW - what is it going to take before this matter at hand is dealt with professionally? Should someone have to lose their newborn or the child end up with a birth defect before they address the problems and make significant changes.Stop lying and address the matter! What is wrong with you and your corporate office in Toledo, Ohio? They have lost good staff due to this problem. Also, from what I see/heard is that they are only treating the residents whose families come in on a regular base! The other residents are not being attended to and all thats happening is they continue spreading scabies around the entire facility. This is a serious problem and Arden Court, in my mind, has been sweeping this very urgent matter under the carpet and turning a blind eye. In my overview, this is Elderly Abuse. The state has been called regarding this matter. All I want to know is; does anyone really care about what is happening behind closed doors or that the care given to our elderly population, in your facility, is just disgraceful.Another, problem that is occurring at Arden Courts, is some of the caregivers try to bully residents, other workers, POAs and family members. Please fix this behavior and learn to treat these human beings with dignity. How would you feel if your elderly parents were being abused?

This staff & facility is fantastic! Weve had a terrible time finding a place that gets Moms meds to her ON TIME! She has Parkinsons & really crashes if its late. There is a garden area thats enclosed, so she can go for a walk whenever she wants. The nurses here really care & treat my Mom the way I would. I highly recommend Arden Courts.
