Rom my very first appt. To the post surgical follow p EVERYONE was kind,helpful and informative. Dr.Opatowskis surgical skills are top notch. Which is WHY we chose to not use the office covered by our Health pln and made the choice to obtain the very best care possible. A clean office and surgical center that is staffed by wonderful people. What else could I have needed? I do and have recommended this practice to all those who ask where I chose to care for my eyes.

I had to take a family member for a follow up appointment after he was seen by this Dr. at AV hospital. The Dr. might be great and all, but the service here don’t. Appointment was scheduled and it took almost two hours for him to be seen.. he was told there were many other patients before him and he needed to wait, after an hour of waiting and arriving 15 min early.

I made an appointment with Dr. Opatowsky at Antelope Valley Eye Care to have my right eye examined for a cataract. He examined both eyes and we talked about the left eye as well, which needed lasered. My left eye had a cataract removed with a different doctor but my vision was still blurry. So, before leaving I made appointments for both eyes. A week later Dr. Opatowsky lasered my left eye to clear my vision at the Envision Surgery Center and the actual laser process took about 10 seconds. It was a miracle. I could see clearly and played golf the next day. I went back to the Envision Surgery Center a few weeks later to have the right eye cataract successfully removed. Dr. Opatowsky, the Antelope Valley Eye Care Team, and the Envision Surgery Center Team handled me with care and they will handle you with care too. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone, it really was a pleasure to talk with everyone, they all are very well organized, they all are patient focused with a “won’t fail” mentality. The equipment and technology used was state of the art. Both of my eyes see clearly now! Dr. Opatowsky is one of the best doctors on the planet, we are lucky to have him in the Antelope Valley. He makes the world a better place.

In violation of ADA. Discriminates against the disabled by requiring masks to be worn even when informed of exclusion for breathing disabilities. Were informed before appt. VA and ADA complaint filed. Fine per occurrence is $75000. In their, staff, quasi legal opinion the NGO CDC overrides the federal law. Even public officials that design ordinance noted the exclusions of the ADA on masks, and werent trite enough to presume they could override it. Next complaint with CA consumer affairs and bonding.

I had been going there for a few years, but their service and quality of frames for children has diminished completely. Very rude and mean personnel especially a woman in charge of Optics. Im not taking my son there anymore because of her very rude and condescending attitude. Hed been waiting for a replacement frame from them for over a week when she said itd only take a couple of days. This is the second pair that has broken from the same exact place, although they are still under warranty. Now, he cant see the board at school. I dont recommend anyone to go there. They act as if they are doing you a favor by dealing with you. Yet, its their fault that my son is having to struggle without glasses because of the poor quality of their products.

Ive been going there for 7 years and have always been treated with great care and respect. Ive always had great experience getting an appointment and the staff very polite and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Dr. O saved my eyesight. He is a DOCTOR of the eye. If it wasnt for him I would only have eyesight in one eye. He is very thorough and never have to wait for my appointment time.

Really poor customer service. Receptionist had a nasty attitude just to schedule an appointment.

Fabulous surgeon! The entire team at AV Eye Care is amazing. The customer service staff, finance coordinator, and the surgical team are all the BEST. I had a great experience with my cataract surgery and my eyesight is 20/20 hi-def...it is unbelievable!!! I wish all of my health-care providers were this good.Thank you Dr. O!

I dont usually give low ratings but today was surprising. When i arrived at the location i was not greeted by anyone, there was a full staff of people in the front desk and not many guests. I shrugged it off and made my way to view the spectacles after 20 min of looking around and no one showed any concern to check up on me to see if I needed any assistance.

I got my new glasses and I see better without them. But since I waited for over 90 days they want $35.00. ImI a senior on a fixed income and that is a lot of money.Not happening!

Very disappointed with staff and appointments. Made an appointment over 2 months in advance. Asked for the last new patient appointment and was given 3:45pm. I was just called today and they wanted to confirm I was coming in on Monday at 9:45am. I said no my appointment is 3:45pm since I work an hour away from my home I cant take off the entire day for an eye appointment. They would not help me and said this was my appointment time. I cancelled and told them they are horrible to do this to a patient that has waited 2 months so see a physician.

Tried to make an appointment and they were very rude over the phone. I have never been treated like this before just to make an appointment. The staff always seem upset when you are there in the first place. After going there for years I think I will find another place

Dr Ira is very competent, professional and caring. I have seen him several times over the years. He is busy, and it can be hard to get in, but that shows how popular he is. It is sad to see reviews over what sounds like miss understandings with the staff. To me, what is most important is if you get competent, quality, medical care. ESPECIALLY when you are talking about your eye sight!My first visit about 10 years ago was an emergency as I got glass in my eye. He made time for me that day, right away. He took care of my eye without any lasting problems.A couple years ago I went to another local doctor to have cataract surgery as they could fit me in before the end of the year. BIG mistake! They seemed nice but it turned out that they intentionally made one eye near sighted and one eye far sighted which I had specifically told them I DID NOT want. Then when my vision was not right after the surgery they said it must have been my fault as I must have made the new lense move. Months later when I went back to Dr. Ira he explained that the prescription was different in each eye and it would have been extremely difficult for me to have made it move. Thus the other doctor did that intentially but they chose to blame their mistake on me!About a year ago I noticed one eye getting foggy. Dr. Ira said that a film had grown over that eye and it was common with caterat surgery and easy to fix. He did an outpatient procedure where he lazared it and it only took about 20-30 seconds. He was done before I even knew he had started. You can trust your eyecare to Dr. Ira Opatowsky.

I love, love, love Dr. Opatowsky and his staff, can work miracles..
